As said by @Just2Cause you have 2 choices :
1- Downgrade from 290 to 257, then from 257 to 534 (then root then OTA to 257 if you downgraded to root it).
2- When downgrading from 290 to 534, exclude "Baseband" in Flashtool and you'll be good to go.

And why do that? He just can use the FTF .534 by NUT and downgrade directly to .534, then Root and follow the steps to upgrade to .290 and then to .136. Done.

i'm confusing with it i need to flash in order, i mean first .257 then 534 or i can do it directly to .534 excluding baseband.
other thing, only the baseband, idon't need to exclude TA.

TA have nothing to do with it, if you referring about TA (DRM keys), but No. Yes, you can downgrade directly to .534 but you have to exclude "Baseband" only in Flashtool.

[Q] How to root stock .257 firmware if bootloader is locked?

Hello, sadly I have rooted the Z1 within .534 without unlocking the bootloader and didn't realize that update via PC Companion overwrite the root access. I updated to .257 with PC Companion and then I have a Z1 updated, unrooted and without being able to be downgraded to .534 as I have read in other threads.
Can anyone help me to root the device in this condition? Suggestions?
Thanks

Download a .534 firmware FTF here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2469191
Flash it with Flashtool : http://www.flashtool.net/index.php
Root with Kingo Root
Update to .257 with OTA
You follow the either one of the 3 or 4 guides that are in the general section.
PS, you can always downgrade no matter of whether you are rooted or not.

You don't need a TA Backup on 4.3 (.290) and applications like Kingo, Vroot etc. will only work for 4.2 (cant remember the number, i think it's .527)

Don't do that mate.
If he did thid what you just said he would lose his TA and that's not good.
If you aren't sure, please, don't answer.
Sony fixed camera issues on 4.3 but that doesn't mean that you don't need to backup TA partition!!!
How could you relock bootloader if you need it without TAs?

You don't have to relock it but some guys want back X-Reality and few Sony apk, OTA update or just need to use their warranty - that's why tou need TA backup.
If you send unlocked device with custom kernel to Sony they'll refuse ti repair or replace device...

[Q] Downgrade from 4.3 (C6903) Xperia Z1 14.2.A.0.290 Generic NCB (Unbranded/Nordic)

Hi everybody!
This is my first post as I usual solve my problems just by reading others people posts.
I recently flashed my z1 (C6903) to 14.2.A.0.290 Generic NCB (Unbranded/Nordic) (4.3 android) as I didn 't like the DE(german version) with the bloatware. I rooted it before with kingo but lost my root after flashing the NCB version I'm now looking for a way to downgrade to a older ncb version root it with kingo and then do a ota upgrade to keep the root. Does anybody have the FTF therfore and what boxes should I pick I want to keep my data or should I let it do a full wipe do a backup with sony companion or the sony app on the phone and than play it in after finishing the downgrade root and OTA? Pls help me I' m completly lost and I'm really missing the root.
Thanks in advance to everyone!!!!!

My experience is that if older FTFs aren't in the mega thead (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2469191), then you won't find them anywhere. Mega thread only has a 290 FTF for NCB, so you may be SOL if you want to strictly downgrade to 534 NCB and then OTA to 290. However, as long as you flash a generic FTF, you won't get carrier bloatware.
If root is what you'd want, I'd go with [NUT]'s pre-rooted 290: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2572988. It's the easiest way to get full root.
..or you follow the instruction step by step here on page 2, post #16 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588331&page=2

Here's a link to the correct FTF (note that it is .257, so follow the guides regarding rooting .257, or if you're savvy, install a .534 kernel, root with Kingo, install a .257 kernel again, then OTA)
https://mega.co.nz/#!WkolCYjB!IIXR5SgAn-J05MXmG26GYyi2P2sYcF34Avn73z5Y9n0
It is incorrectly named Generic SE, but it is the right customisation ID for Generic NCB (1276-9897).

Sony PC Companion can make a backup for you, I don't know how much will be saved as in order to flash a 4.2.2 ROM you'll need to wipe your data partition.

257 can't be rooted manually, only 534 can be rooted by vRoot/Kingo/etc.
Since you are downgrading, you must wipe data and will lose everything you don't copy off the phone.

No, it's not possible to upgrade 257/290 and keep root. You asked about downgrading, not rooting 290. If you have an unlocked BL, go read the dev thread on how to root 290. With a locked BL, you'll need to get rooted 534/257 and then flash a custom pre-rooted ROM from the dev forum.

Actually with OTA you keep semi-root, but in essence you're right. Actually I think the easiest solution is to flash a stock .534 ROM, root it with Kingo, grab TA partition backup, flash .290, unlock bootloader, flash a recovery, do a proper root, reflash stock boot partition, flash TA backup.

Yeah, true, I've just stopped telling people about partial root since full root is possible. Those who don't know to ask don't know what it means anyway, and it's just simpler for everyone involved to leave it out.

same "Current rooted FW version: 14.1.G.1.534 and 14.1.G.2.257" that's why i want to downgrade
I downgraded to .534 using the Rogers FTF on my Generic Unlocked C6906 with no issues. Just to be safe I excluded the TA options but left everything else unchecked and did a full wipe. After rooting and installing the recovery I flashed Nut's rooted .290 ROM with no issues - mostly everything is working fine on my phone. There were no issues with SIM locking and my bootloader status still shows as unlockable. (Phones purchased from the Canadian Carriers are bootloader locked.)
The only remaining issue that I still need to work on is getting Xposed Framework to work properly.

The only thing for C6903 is the FTF by NUT to avoid IMEI lost but all the process is for C6906 and if you follow the instruction you will not have any problem, you just don't get it. Was so difficult to understand, where is wrote everywhere, that you have to downgrade to .257 then to .534 and then root with Vroot or 360 and update to .290? and from there with the same process update to .136? I don't think so.

[Q] How do i get from vanilla to Xposed?

Hi everyone,
So i have an xperia z1 on 14.3.A.0.757. Vanilla, not rooted, havnt unlocked bootloader.
I would love to get Xposed Framework but i have been searching all over the interwebs but its so unclear.
Could someone explain to me EXACTLY what needs to be done to get from vanilla to xposed? And how i would go about doing this, the easiest way! Any links to good explanations and step by step guides which are safe would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Marcel

Is there any way to root the phone without it being wiped?
Not from a 757 firmware.
You can try excluding data when using flashtool, but I wouldn't do that.
However, if you can update to 4.4.4 via pccompanion you will not lose data and you can root that very easily without losing data using newroot

OK, you will probably lose data when rooting then.
Flash a FTF from the FTF mega collection that ends in .108 or .118
then use the newroot tool to root it

Because you cannot root 757 FW
Either downgrade to android 4.2 (i.e a firmware ending in .534) or upgrade to the latest android version 4.4.4 (ending in .108 or .118) and root it.
