Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.
Who is Team Carbon?

Remember, every penny you send to us goes right back into the rom. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us! If you've enjoyed Carbon, please consider a donation toward this goal. Thank you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Carbon!

Awesome! My all time fav
I've already been grabbing the nightlies from the site but glad to see a thread posted on here finally. Thank you so much for making an official version for us. I cant wait until all the features have been added because this will most likely be my dd.
I've run several of the nightlies and flashed them with furnace kernel and it all ran smooth and stable.

900 line aroma script
close to 2000 , ; and other annoying syntax bits that could go wrong
3 full aosp roms
total of 700mb shoved into 350mb
well over 150 test zips(stupid syntax errors)
by far the most bipolar project to date.

Jokersax, are you uploading this project right now? I've been advised by senior moderators that placeholder threads are no longer allowed (too many issues with devs placing them and not delivering anything for days). I have no problem leaving this one up for you, because I know you'll deliver. Just make sure you can upload and/or write the post within a timely fashion.

To see what the CarbonRom features, please check out the thread for the Nexus 7 (grouper). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2137798
Anyone interested, please either reply here on contact me via PM.

1.6 is a pretty big update for us! Check out the changelog on our goo.im page for more, but here are the highlights:
-We've fixed PIE! It no longer decides to be invisible from time to time.
-We fixed the battery charge light! None of us use it but apparently you guys are just nuts for it!
-Dark Carbon! Huge props to Slim Roms for coming up with this unique and awesome feature.
-Lockscreen theming
-CM skinny battery is back!
-Volume key lock on silent mode option
-Backup tool - if you're flashing a new version of Carbon and already have the required version of gapps installed, it will be backed up and restored during install. This applies to system apps and custom host files as well. Please note that you should only dirty flash from Carbon to Carbon. It's ok if it's another version or a nightly - just not over other roms. Super handy for you crack flashers. Make sure you've got the most recent Gapps though, and if you're flashing from a factory reset, you'll still need to install it after install of course.
-Long pressing the "clear recents" button clears the cache
-3.4 kernel on D2xxx devices. It's finally stable enough where we're comfortable with this - remember to only flash other 3.4 kernels or it will not boot as there are rom-level dependencies.
-AOKP's awesome new navbar settings
-NFC polling mode for when you want to keep your screen off and scan tags
-MMS and call "breathe" feature. Makes the notification icon fade in and out.
-Mute dings when changing volume
-Disable/enable CRT effect on screen on/off.
-3rd party keyboard bug fixed
-deodexed again
-stability and speed enhancements
-a million other little things as well - we basically don't even sleep anymore.

Not saying that it isn't, but are you allowed to post a thread for someone else's rom? (I know you said your not the developer and your taking or credit or anything like that) I'm assuming they will make the thread themselves once they want to put it up on XDA.
Because I've seen this on goo as well and I have a link to their goo site in my Index thread, but they just started pumping out nightlies like six days ago so I assume they will make their own thread when they're ready.
But if it's chill, thanks for getting it out here for people to see cause I don't think many saw the thread in general!
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda app-developers app
I believe it to be fine. It was discussed on the Google+ page, when/If it comes to the point that one of the developers would like to post their own thread here, I will delete this one.
It seems recently that CarbonROM has stopped posting on XDA and turned to Google+ for updates and discussion.
I don't see enough discussion for the Sprint GS4 on XDA, especially on such a popular device. Getting more ROMs on here is imperative to the activeness of this device.
Edit: We have the developer's consent.
When I hit read or reply in the notification pulldown it just clears the notification. Anyone experiencing this

A lot of things NOT WORKING!
I've tested this for a good while, for the past 2 nightlies
I have tested the one with the Halo feature but there are a lot of bugs
I don't get the notifications, only the LED flashes but nothing on the notification pull-down.
another one is, whenever I'm in an App [any app] when i press the home button, it does not take me home.
It doesn't respond to any of that.
I am not sure what GAPPS to flash because it doesn't come with anything on there except the stock apps.
I also didn't see the SuperUser.apk
no signal as well, only 1x, doesn't show 3G at all.
I love Carbon roms but unless my downloads have been corrupted or something, then it sucks because in a lot of ways this rom is useless.
I'm going to start from scratch with new downloads and see how it goes.

ROM works 100% for me!
Make sure you do a full wipe before flashing for the first time.
You should flash the latest gapps found on goo.im.
Superuser is built into the system. You can find it in the settings menu, under superuser
Halo is still in ALPHA, there will be quirks. The developers are currently in the process of releasing the much quicker, more stable BETA version.
Your other problems are not listed bugs on these releases, and are most likely a result of a bad flash. Re-download the file and try again.

How to close Recent apps from the new resents style?
opethehowdyman said:
In response to the "clear all recent apps button". I saw this in a YouTube video. While in recent apps, from top of screen with one finger and bottom of screen with thumb, pinch together and all recent apps will close. I hope this will help.
http://youtu.be/166MLgzcqnw. At 1:50 in the video he describes closing all recent apps.

Yeah, I don't see why XT925 is supported, but we aren't. Also, doesn't this come with SU integrated in the settings app?
[ROM] [4.4.2] SlimKat (mb886) [Unofficial] [beta 2.1]
Trying to select APN force closes.
Slimkat is the first KK rom I see it show "HOME" instead of T-Mobile as my carrier, under Straight Talk.

It does have superuser and asks for permissions when apps request root.

That's very unusual as well. Never seen that one before if you ask me. At least for me it does show T-Mobile which is what I have.
As for the superuser yes it works without a problem. That is why I mentioned. SuperSU to be flashed as optional. I don't like to wait 3 seconds to give root permissions to a trusted app
I think this ROM have enough to be my daily drive. Battery is very good and is very very stable. Some xposed framework for some theming and add few other options and I'm very happy
Nice @TecknoFreak

Cannot select APN. No go for me. Seems smooth otherwise.
OK guys, @sickkside13, @joarce, @penser and @clockcycle
ROM updated to newest weekly and I have fix the issue of APN Force Closing and other few changes like stock phone apk and others.
I have tried everything for the last 2hrs and haven't find any problems. So rom is up to date and working perfect to say no less.
I'm running this rom with the Full PA Gapps (largest gapps) with zero problems.
Enjoy the smooth!!!!!
Thanks man really love this ROM I will be flashing it in a moment.. I currently building aokp_kk.

Now if only we could get some AOSPA builds! I already asked CJ360 (from drdevs.com, same name on XDA) since he has builds up for XT925/6 and XT907, he said he's gonna get it stable on his XT926 then start building for all the other qcom/msm8960 family members.
Once source is available Im sure this will be in our hands very soon. Also Pacman is coming in a week or so according to their Irc
Yeah true I am syncing repo but Ubuntu on APU systems suck so I'll see later how it goes since it always gives me crash errors

How is the camera app? Is it not good quality like on cm11? Can store camera photos in external sd?
Sent from my MB886 using Tapatalk 2
Camera works same as others. I haven't used it because I use the one from full pa gapps and that yes have that option to save on sdcard or internal sd
oh snap
Is this ROM CM11 based? Does it have the same problem with radio crashing?

According to http://slimroms.net/index.php/slim-bean-features it sounds like their camera has unique features.
EDIT: What I have noticed so far is that the dialer doesn't have the issue CM11 dialer does. When you first activate the phone and press he keypad icon CM11 shows up blank. This one doesn't seem to have that problem.
EDIT: I would like to see this rom complied from source, rather than "cleaning" up the CN one. For some reason I can't shake the "untrusting" feeling
I'm not sure if this allowed or the proper way to do this. But two ROMs are available for our tablets. Tesla which I used for some time is pretty stable. I just tested Tipsy and it works great.
Tipsy currently is finished with lp development and moving onto marshmallow. Current build is titled Final Hangover and is lollipop. Its working pretty well
https://plus.google.com/+AdamOvadia1/posts/VFNpokuFuA2
Tesla is an older build. Stable as hell. Hasn't been updated since September 22nd but it was my daily driver for a few weeks.
https://plus.google.com/+AdamOvadia1/posts/7jqTTiLY7bL
Enjoy them both! Don't forget to thank devs and the maintainer Adam!
Haven't tried Tesla yet because I flashed Tipsy and it is pretty awesome!

Ive used Tesla and Tipsy for a long time. Both run smooth with minimal errors. They are stable. Sadly I think LP is the only thing these tablets will see. I don't think they have enough memory to run M.

I'm gonna disagree about these little suckers running 6.0. Its not a gigantic leap from lollipop. I think it's more than capable. Hell, I'm running lp on a device that was last officially supported on jellybean.
How do you overcome the low memory. I'm running Tipsy and show about 868 MB of memory, according to the built in task manager. I know sometimes when I play mobile games or any high memory app, significant or foxit. I use these for filling out PDF work orders and capture signatures. I'm not sure if there is an aftermarket kernel for the V410. As for Marshmallow, we shall see if someone builds it, maybe CM team or Candy6. Not many choices for this device.

Can someone post screenshots of both roms, if possible. Thanks.
Yeah some screenshots and more info about the features of these roms would be nice

LG G Pad V410 LTE, Tipsy (LP 5.1.1), tethering is not working for me, on Wi-Fi tether device try to connect is not getting IP address, it shows 'obtaining IP address' for few seconds then drop the connection. For USB tether it, the toggle button does not work, cannot turn it on. Anyone using this ROM please share your experience.

I'll check with the maintainer to see if I he might know a solution. Seeing how development has moved on the marshmallow I don't know if you would be willing to update or not.

Thanks I tried Marshmallow (CM13) but Wi-Fi tethering is not working on that, switched back to rooted stock but that don't have SMS and USSD support, so tried this Tipsy.
