Plugged N3 into my PC, but it's not recognized? - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I wanted to transfer some wallpapers over to my N3 so I plugged it into the USB port on my PC but all it does is charge the phone.
It's not picking up the phone so I can transfer file.
Why am I missing?
Thanks

Anyone?

Yes, you should install the Kies drivers for your phone if they do not auto install.

Does kies reconize phone? maybe a driver issue? usb debugging enabled? Have you had any probs before with odin? What version of odin? Maybe update it..
And another thing make sure you plug usb directly into pc not usb hub and with original usb cable.

Thanks for yr reply,
i already enable debugging, and plug the usb directly.
and the odin version is v1.70, i guess its the latest one.
actually it couldnt connect either with kies and my computer after i turn on the usb (the orange android logo on screen), both on my vista and xp..

Then, you should first install the USB drivers for your phone. It is not possible to connect to your phone neither through KIES or ODIN unless you install the drivers first.

[Q] PC doesn't recognize SGS in Mass Storage

Soooo...
My PC, Win7 x64, doesn't recognize my phone. I've tried almost anything I could find. Reinstall drivers, KIES, tick and untick Mass Storage and USB Debugging...
Yes, I DO tick Mount SD Card. I'm not a total noob
Now I've maybe found where the problem is coming from: I have the Android SDK installed.
My brother doesn't have this, and it works flawlessly on his PC?
I've seen this, but don't think it'll help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1031603
Many thanks to those that offer help.
Thanks in advance,

Tried uninstalling the SDK? And maybe clearing any older drivers / kies versions.
"Ba-doom". LOL!
Anyway, does your phone only have problems connecting in mass storage, or does it have trouble connecting in kies mode too?
I didn't uninstall the SDK, as I am trying out app devving. Drivers and KIES have been updated and reinstalled. Though one thing doesn't uninstall, will look that up when I get home tomorrow.
Ba-doom is kind of a little pun, KIES mode didn't work, if I remember correctly.

Not true, you would have to install the adb drivers. WIn7 does not have that automatically
I haven't installed any drivers, yet ADB is working fine. You do need to install Kies however.
