Use a XTC Clip.

There is no option to change cid in the xtc software?
Is there any update to enable this?

When my IncS was clipped using the XTC Clip, it changed the cid to 1111111

My inc s is Revolutinary s-offed and install stock rom not for device cid..
can I apply xtc clip method with alpharevx s-off or should back to s-on ??

Urgent need of help

I need to return my Htc One to stock, the firmware is 1.29.401.12. I have located the only apparent version thanks to XDA but its the OTA version. When I unzip it it does not appear to have all instructions ie;start. When I downloaded the RUU to my phone more information was present. Can the RUU be flashed directly from the phone ? Hope this makes some kind of sense !

An RUU can only be flashed if it matches your CID number and the firmware you want to upgrade/downgrade to.
Super CID can allow you to use any RUU.

Are you s-off? If you are type
fastboot writecid 11111111
That should be it. If it doesn't work search it up!

CID- CWS_001 or two underscores I cant member CWS__001

It's 2 underscores as the CID is 8 characters long

New to Htc One!

Hi guys!
Im a noob in this section of the forum .
I just bough a Htc One from someone and it was the version from Taiwan.
Its the version Htc One 801e.
I live in Greece ,Europe so I tried to make my Htc an Euoropen one.
What I did the first thing was be unlocked ,S-Off and to change CID so now I have SuperCid.
Than I tried to change and the Model ID.
I took the tutorial from here and the file from step 2 just [email protected]#*t my new phone.I could boot in fastboot only but the screen was washed with many colors.I installed a wrong hboot.
I dont know why I needet this file because the zip file was for Htc Dna.
What I did to revive my phone was to download the firmware zip file from here and install it like the other one. :laugh:
Now do I need the change Model ID so I can use the RUU for European Version or I'm ok with SuperCid an S-Off?
If yes any good tutorial because the last one wasnt a good one!

You have no reason to try to change model id. S-off and eng hboots are serious stuff, you could easily brick your phone. Set super cid. Flash ruu. Good to go.

Yes, but you won't get OTA updates.
Or LTE.

To receive Ota upadates should I update and the Model Id???
I know that I can not have LTE because the modem is for 3g only!

MID and CID need to be correct, then you can flash the correct RUU or backup of a suitable ROM, and then OTAs should appear. Of course, you'll need stock recovery to install them.

I have now supercid 11111111 and mid PN0711000
So to make my HTC One like a Europian Version I should change the Cid to HTC__001 and Mid to PN0710000 ???

I'm not 100% on this, but I believe mid does not matter. With the Google edition, people who did not change mid still received ota's. Plus changing the mid is a lot riskier than changing the cid.

Thats why I am asking here id I need to change the MID.
I want this for the European RUU so I will have a Htc One like a 801n expect of the LTE that I will not have because of the radio!

The conversion will work just fine without changing the MID. Its the ota's I'm not sure about.

As I said before, you should because GPe phones get their update with any mid, but there's no way to be certain until an ota comes out.

[Q] OTA by changing CID

Hey guys,
Im from South Africa.
I have an unlocked HTC one 32 gig.The phone is tampered,unlocked,rooted and also s-off with rumrunner.
Its on 4.2.2 with a software number of 2.24.401.8.
What i want to achieve is getting my phone to recieve the OTA update of 4.4 sense for the international version.Because the updates take very long to come to South Africa.
I know i have to do the CID thing.....but i cant find a very good tutorial.
So could you guys please help me and tell me what i should do next to achieve my goal

Now I dont think there is a 4.4 ota for .401 sw. So you need to wait or convert to dev edition. In theory cid HTC__001 and HTC__Y13 receives ota prettey fast for .401 sw
