Does Sense 4.4.2 KitKat work on hboot 1.55? - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone,
Bought ONE a few days ago and unlocked bootloader, installed recovery and rooted the stock rom yesterday. However, for some reason cant S-OFF :/ I am on hboot 1.55. Can I install the latest sense ROMs based on 4.4.2? I have a stock nandroid of 3.62 base to return to it in order to to receive the OTA updates. Once I upgrade the base, is there any way to return to stock for S ON devices to receive the OTA update to update the firmware? Thanks.

yes you can flash(install) 4.4.2 ROMs with unlocked bootloader with S-ON
you can try S-OFF with your 3.62 base backup or you can try ARHD 31 to achieve S-OFF, rumrunner's or firewater's

[Q] trying to get the 4.2.2 ota

hi there,
I'm on stock rooted 4.2.1 with cwm recovery and trying to get the 4.2.2 ota.
It can't be updated cause I don't have the stock recovery.
I have seen failed recovery reboots cause of the wrong cid of the stock recovery, so i guess flashing the stock recovery is not an option?
My cid is HTC_E11, and for as far as i know there is not an RUU for this one.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance:good:

There is a nandroid backup for the HTC__E11 (Dutch) CID here http://bugsylawson.com/files/file/1864-m7-cwm-nandroid-backup-cid-htc-e11-12940112/ on this site http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207874. Why don`t you flash the 4.2.2 stock rom by Mike1986 which is easily rooted or another custom rom like Viper or Android Revolution. Make sure to get S-Off before you update to 4.2.2 in case of warranty you had to revert to full stock, link S-Off http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314582.

So that nandroid is 4.2.2, and 4.2.2 can't be S-Off (yet)?
This gives me doubts whether or not I should update it. I want to be able to revert to 100% stock just in case i need to.
but hey look at this > (dutch article from tweakers.net) http://tweakers.net/nieuws/90336/htc-gaf-klanten-onterecht-geen-garantie-na-unlocken-bootloader.html

If you do S-Off on 4.1.2 it will stay S-Off even after the update to 4.2.2. You will always be able to revert to 4.1.2 with a RUU.

[Q] Instalation old rom to get update with new firmware. I will brick my phone?

CID: htc_032
Can I download old 4.2.2 stock rom from mike1986 or nandroidbackup, stock recovery, install it. Then get update to new 4.3 rom and my firmware get update? Maybe I will brick my phone or get only rom update?
I want have newest update and back to stock. With S-off I will instal old RUU and them i will instal update but i have hboot 1.54 and i dont know what to do.
Thanks

RUU question

Ok, I originally was on the stock 4.3 rom that I received by OTA. I ran this for a while without root.
I finally rooted and flashed ARHD 31...therefore my rom was updated to the new sense 5.5, but my firmware was still based on 4.3 with sense 5.0
I didn't make a nandroid (dumb mistake)...I am looking to gain s-off so I can update my firmware.
I am wondering the safest way to do this...do I need to RUU back to 4.3, and if I do that, do I have to lock the bootloader back prior to RUUing? or after?
Also, is there a RUU posted for 4.3 att sense 5?
Any help would be appreciated...in the end all I am trying to accomplish is achieve s-off.
thanks

You could use http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu-zip-m7_ul_jb43_sense50_mr_cingular_us_3-17-502-3-decrypted-zip/
or
http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu_m7_...3_10-38j-1157-04_release_334235_signed_2-exe/
You need to be locked/relocked before flashing the ruu.

1st you're at 1.44 hboot so before update software update hboot to 1.54 then move further
2 search stock Rom reset Or nandroid backup for your software version you can apply that in TWRP but OTA never be applied in TWRP

Help with updating form 4.06.651.4 to Lollipop

I am running 4.06.651.4 and I want to update to the latest stock firmware (Lollipop). I was wondering how I can do this and without using a RUU or OTA. I would like to keep the option to be able to downgrade back to 4.06.651.4. I have updated before and been able to go back. I have an unlocked bootloader and Supersu. I am unable to get s-off.
Thanks
