Yesterday my Atrix hd just went black in the middle of text message. Ive tried to hold down the power button and volume keys. Ive tried to hold down the power button and volume up button and the power button and volume down button. Nothing worked. Tried several different charges and this still didnt work. Finally i watched a video on how to remove the battery and when i did that and plugged the phone back in the green indictor light comes on but nothing else works. I have the cynafox 4.4 rom on the phone. Is this phone fried?? Can something be done???
Your description sound like it's fried (a.k.a. hard bricked). If you can't get it to boot on (even to a black screen), I believe your phone has moved on to a better place. If so, I'm sorry for your loss

Leave it on the charger for a while, it may not have enough charge to boot. Then try the power + v salute..

Hi my HTC one which has Android Revolution 13 installed on it recently ran out of battery and now it won't turn back on. I have tried wall charging and usb charging with 4 different chargers and wires, but the phone still refuses to turn on. There are no orange, green, or red lights on the phone that I can see however when I plug it into my computer the computer plays the sound that something was connected and then plays the sound that it was disconnected. I have also tried every combination of trying to turn the phone on from just the power button, power button and volume down, power button volume up, power button and both volume buttons from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. The phone absolutely just feels dead and the only response I get is from when it is hooked up to the computer and it only makes sounds from the pc the phone is still dead even when connected. HTC Sync does not recognize the phone either. Any ideas?

Try holding down the power and volume down buttons while holding the proximity sensor directly under a bright light
Use search option..theres a ton of same problem like this in this forum..i also face the same problem!!..this thing is like a virus started to effect every H1 user!!

I have tried searching for it but there are not alot of solutions mostly just the same problem. Most of the solutions are just the same hold the power button with the volume buttons.
What comes up in Device Manager when you plug into your PC? If you see QHUSB_DLOAD, you have a brick.
It's not unheard of for a phone to brick if you let the battery go completely dead. The phone is supposed to shut off before then, but if you force the issue, that can kill the battery.
You should be able to get a warranty return.
When i connect mine to pc nothing is detected..:banghead: same goes to the H1..nothing happen..no charging or blinking led..already try the trick power button+vol key..result non.. also try connect n disconnect power cable more than 20 times while holding power button only and power button+vol..still nothing..

I used the USB cable to the computer, and does not work ..
Is completely dead, the only light he shows, is that I quoted above, loading ..
ps: it is rooted
Thx for any help!

I'm not sure but i guess your battery might have drained fully.
Try charging it for a while (10-15 min), you should see the orange color charging indication.
Or if battery is already charged, .. you can try getting into bootloader mode by pressing the "power + volume down + track ball button".
If you get here.. then only something can be done.
your powr button is damage. plug ur mobile with data cable, when u see the charging light, pull out your battery and then again pull in.
you can up new rom
Seems I cannot find any other people asking this question
Basically I have Nook HD+ rooted and CM10.1 and it works great. I have google market on there and the original Nook OS has been sent to the nether region of hell where it belongs. So it's a pretty decent basic android tablet.
But when I let the battery go to zero and it shuts itself down, it seems that it doesn't turn back on so easily.
I'll charge it overnight and then attempt to power it on, but it doesn't do anything. I see the screen backlight come on but no "nook" logo.
So then I try plugging it back in and hold power and the "n" for 10 secs or so. I'll see the screen turn off.. I'll do that a few more times and finally I see the dead battery logo show up..even tho I charged it all night.
So then I let it charge a bit longer and try again with it still plugged in and finally it turns on.
I was just wondering if others saw this and if there was some proper method I should be using to restart it to avoid this.
Yeah, my nook was doing that same thing for a while. Now though, I let the battery die and I can't get the thing to turn on at all. No backlight lights up, no battery charge icon, the thing's led just glows green for 2 secs then flickers to orange and stays orange for a few secs and then the led turns off. No matter how long I hold the power button or the power plus nook button, nothing happens. I hope my tablet isn't dead forever. Anybody else have this problem and find a way of fixing it?

I also forget to charge mine and it got discharged. I charged it for a bit but couldn't power on. When I plugged the power cable it showed orange light. After changing the power socket and repeatedly press power button for like 7 secs it turned on with 28%. I'm Using CM10.2.

Just keep trying.. i noticed my backlight was so dim that i wasn't sure it was on either until i turned off all lights... then after holding power for like 12 secs i saw it go even darker so I know my backlight was on now.. but like you said.. no logo. Just extrem0 said.. you gotta keep playing with it, unplug it, plug it in again, etc.. it's really hokey. I've been sure to keep it charged up since my last post so I am just avoiding the problem. But it is stopping me from recommending a modded nook to my friends and family because the first time this happens they will come crying to me to help them.

I also have this problem on my Nook HD+. I don't think there is a solution for it, so I'm going for a warranty.
However, before you go for a warranty; flash the stock ROM back on. You're probably think how do I do this with no battery? Well, once your Nook boots up, your tablet will not charge at all. So, we need to charge your Nook whilst it's powered off. Again, how do I go about this? Well, turn on your Nook charger from the wall socket, but do not plug it into your Nook yet. Now, hold the power button on your Nook (ensure that your have no battery at all, and that your Nook does nothing when you hold the power button). Whilst holding the power button on your Nook, plug in your charger. It should turn green, then turn orange. It should stay like this for a while.
Give it a couple of hours, and it should charge up to around ~60% (you may be lucky if it charges more). With that much battery, put the Stock ROM back on and go for a warranty. Don't rely on this method for too long, as with time it will also stop charging with this method. At the moment, it will not charge when the Nook is turned on. Go for a warranty whilst you still can.
All the best.
P.S. Flashing Stock ROM here (step 6) thanks to leapinlar: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2062613
I hate making new threads but I just had to:
Okay so first my problem:is that the phone is dead. I used it till it drained and now it refuses to start. The red light comes on but battery does not seem to charge fast enough and once it acquires the minimal charge, it spontaneously reboots and wastes that battery. Then I am back to square one. This keeps on happening. It has become really annoying.
I have read many threads. Actually I spent the last two hours or so trying various things. So if someone can tell me a solution, it would be great!
Any help is appreciated because I am helpless right now.
The first thing to do/try is to charge it for at least 24hs without touching it, just let it charge. Then try to turn it on.

I tried. It charges a little and it turns itself on and burns out the charge. But I fixed it! After a lot of time!
Thank you for your interest. I will hit thanks later since I am on my limit.

I've got this exact problem and I've tried all the 'fixes' google has to offer and none work. When I plug it in to charge no light comes on the only way to get it to charge is to hold VOL UP while pressing the Power button. You then have to hold the power button down to keep the charging light lit. However, once it has enough juice to boot it does just that (because the power button is held I guess) It boots all the way into Android and then shuts down because it does not have enough power (and isn't detecting the USB power).
How did you fix yours?
EDIT: FYI My Xperia T has not been rooted and is running the latest official firmware 4.3.

OK I've tried that and it's still not charging (no red light). The battery is definitely flat as I get no lights at all when pressing the power button without it being connected to power. I can only get the power light to come on by holding the power button. It's been sat here connected to the charger for 2 hours. Going to try the rubber band trick again (holding the power button down).
2 hours charging is definitely not long enough. Just let it charge for 24 hours and don't mess with it in the mean time.

OK I got the usual power up and instant power down because of low power. However I've banded the power button and the Vol Up buttons and it appears to be accepting charge without starting the phone. I'm going to leave it charge overnight hopefully it wont continuously boot cycle... Balls as I wrote this it had been charging for the longest time yet (about 40 mins) still not enough to get ti to boot android without instantly shutting down

It did charge for 24Hours no change, so then I tried (as advised elsewhere) to charge it again this time I waited 2 hours expecting the red light to come on but nothing...
The advice was charge for 24hours - no light shows as the battery is now discharging. The battery was totally flat this afternoon (no blinking lights when pressing power). Then disconnect the power and try and charge it, it should now show it's charging but it never did, maybe I should have waited longer.

OK the final 'fix' I found while googling this was to take the back off and disconnect the battery. This seems to have worked immediately my phone showed a red light and then booted up showing the battery charging symbol on screen - a welcome sight!
My nexus 6 doesn't turn on. This has never happened, but the green LED suddenly turned on when I plug in my phone. When I press the power button, nothing happens. When I hold the power button, the led goes away and doesn't turn on. Any suggestions?

3 finger salute? Plug it into your computer?
If the battery is on its last legs, and fully drained, it can exhibit this behavior.
Plug the phone into a low power port like a computer usb port but not the fast charger that came with the phone. Leave it plugged in for 1-2 hours. Unplug the cable then plug it back on again. If the battery charge animation displays, then you are good to plug it into a regular fast charger.
There are times that you need to leave it plugged in for an hour, then disconnect the cable, long press the power button and it might reboot. In that case, charge it fully before attempting to use it.
