[Q] x8 problem with installation of minicm10

hello there guys , i have one sony ericsson xperia x8 and i wear the ginger dx rom . i had some problems and i decide to put the minicm10 . i installed it but before the mobile open , it stucked at the sony ericsson logo . I cant turn it on or put it at cwm ,
please i need your help because my wife will kill me.
se logo? it means you're on stock kernel. the rom requires a custom kernel for it to work. use pcc to repair your phone.
Sent from my rooted tomato using tapatalk
ok but my phone didnt start so the pcc doesnt start too , the phone stucks at the sony ericsson logo before it opens. any ideas for the pcc?
edit* when i connect the phone to the pcc , at the beggining the pcc recognize the phone but after 2-3 sec the phone disconnects.

install pcc.
download flashtool.
download x8/w8 stock rom.
install drivers in flashtool's /drivers folder.
run flashtool and follow the instructions.
you'll be back on stock rom without root access.

[Q] SIM-card(s) not readable

I've got a more or less big problem. My Xperia SP cannot recognize, that my SIM-card is inserted. If I turn it on it doesn't ask for the PIN and furthermore I can't receive or send SMS's, I can't receive calls or call somebody and I haven't got mobile data. I tried to insert my SIM-card in another sony phone and it didn't work. I also put another working SIM-card in my phone and it also couldn't recognize it. I think (I'm actually sure) it's caused by the non-functional phone apk, but maybe also the SIM-card is broken.
What shall I do? I have a TWRP backup, but I'm not 100% sure, whether it is from before or after. What is a less- or non-risky possibility to replace the phone.apkor is there a better method to repair the phone?
edit: I found out, if my phone is turned on and I remove the SIM-card, it realizes it, and reboots.
Please help me!
???
Sorry, but why is my post ticked with a hook??? The problem isn't solved yet!
Get a new sim card.. This will fix most simcard issues

First of All thanks for your reply. But I already took another SIM-card (which on Xperia L works fine) and put it into my device but there were the same problems. Yesterday I downloaded the SemcPhone.apk file, pushed it to /system/app and changed permissions to rw-r--r-- and rebooted. Then it asked for the PIN but after unlocking I got a bunch of Force closes and they didn't stop.. Even after rebooting again I had the problem, so I deleted the apk file again. But it's now the same like I described there above :/
Reflash ROM.. You have phone.apk problems aswell so this should fix it
Okay.. And the stock ROM, is this the "Deodexed stock ROM" (777MB) from android development or the "normal" stock ROM (odexed) (12.0.A.2.245) also from android development section?
No, to prevent any issues just open Sony Update Service (can be downloaded from the Sony website) and "restore" your phone..
So go back to full stock
Okay cool thank you I'll try it

The last version of Sony Update Service misses the XSP.
I have contacted Sony Mobile to point this out. Untill we recieve a new update you need to use the PC Companion to restore your phone or you need to use Flashtool

Okay, then I'll do that
:/
I tried it with PC Companion but when it had to start repairing and it booted the phone into flashmode (I think so, because the LED was green) and then PC Companion said: "The phone contains modified software, which cannot be updated" and below "Error 2003" ..
I tried it 2 times and both the same :/
My phone has unlocked bootloader, is rooted, and has the DoomKernel, no custom rom.

Well that is unfortunate. You need to relock bootloader and reflash with flashtool.
You cannot use Sony software with unlocked bootloader
Sent from my C5303 using Tapatalk
Oh! That's actually bad. But then I first have to flash back the stock kernel, then relock bootloader, repair with PC Companion and eventually unlock Bootloader again if necessary for me, right? Just for being sure.
Yes correct you need stock kernel then lock bootloader, then re flash/repair phone
Sent from my C5303 using Tapatalk
Ok good. Now the last question: from where can I get the right stock kernel? I found a post from DoomLoRD, where he wrote, that you have to flash stock kernel.sin and no FTF kernel but I couldn't find a stock kernel.sin and in another post from alivanov79, alivanov79 posted a link to an FTF kernel. So Do you know which one is the right one?

Hello! I hope you're still alive!
I am facing the same problem, but before I start doing stuff, may I know if your problem has been solved?
My Xperia SP as well on occassion doesn't detected sim card. Sometimes when I need to make phone calls the most, it starts to do it. I am planning to send it for warranty, as I am having another 20 days before the warranty expires.
Surprisingly, many Sony Xperia models users have experience of having a phone that doesn't read SIM cards. Google reveals it all.

Hey,
yeah, I'm still alive
So, the thing is, my problem there had been caused by myself, fiddling around with some root stuff, so it hadn't been my phone's fault.
But what I did is I just flashed another ROM because I didn't see another solution and it really drove me crazy not being able to use the SIM card related functions.
Well, keeping your post in mind I don't think you'd like to flash another ROM (I probably shouldn't have done that, too).
So if you didn't already try to repair your phone with PC Companion, that'd be the first thing, I'd do in your case.
Otherwise I'd send it for warranty as you considered it already.
Yeah, my sister's Xperia L also has that problem and that's really unfortunate.
So I hope, my "advide" could help at least a bit although there may not be plenty of hints, but yeah.
If I shocked you with that essay I'm sorry, too

Lol I don't think ROM flashing is the root problem, as I have been using CM11 for a month (and maybe more). The problem starts appearing lately..
I will flash stock ROM and relock bootloader and then reflash stock via PCC to see if it will fix the problem
Anyway thanks for the reply!
No, that's not even something to be called "essay"....

Zony Z1 C6902 No signal

Hey guys. I got this problem:
One day in the morning the cellphone lost signal and never got it back. As i believed it was a software issue (coz the cellphone was on and suddenly signal dissapeared) i tried to flash a ROM and do a lot of stuff. In Venezuela we have no Sony Center. At the end my cellphone finished with CM11 and no IMEI. If u have any solution for this, I'll be really grateful. Thanks in advance for ur time.
Try wiping all data and flashing a full FTF using flashtool, if that doesnt work, then im afraid u r gonna have to get a new phone:good:
How many roms have you flashed anyway?
Provide some more detailed info about how and when this happened.does the phone detect the sim card?
Does the stock sony rom by any chance go on a reboot loop when starting ,because that happened to me when my old xperia z's baseband died:angel:
Good Luck,I hope you fix your phone quickly

Thanks for writting. It started suddenly, i though it was an update. I've flashed like 4 ROMS (dont remember which ones tho). The cellphone detects SIM Card but cant register to any network. When I installed other ROMS it got on a reboot loop. I also think maybe i have to get a new phone and use this one as a mini tablet. Once again, thanks for leaving an answer

You can restore your phone to stock firmware from below thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/restore-to-stock-original-motorola-t3155774
It's simple, just hold the power button, u will see the Turn Off and Restart buttons.
Tap and hold the Turn Off Button until the message to Restart in Safe Mode appears.
Press OK. The phone will restart in Safe Mode.
After restarting in Safe Mode, uninstall the app that has bugged your phone and restart the phone normally.
That was enough for me, bc I had installed a CM12.1 theme from Google Play and it was incompatible with CM13 Theme Engine, so I got desperate because I was supposed to lost all my data. I started looking on the internet crazily how to enter in Safe Mode on CM until I find it. So I uninstalled the CM12.1 Theme and applied the Defaut CM13 Theme.

The link provided by @pank.dhnd is solid and you can go with it anyday.
but on the other hand you can get it a lil simplified here. Just clean format using options provided. and install with the unlocked option.
it'll make your work way more easier. you can then normally root and flash the twrp image using flashify(optional).
Thank me if i helped using THANKS button.
You are missing Sparsechunk_4 Command.

Xperia SP freezes (completely blocked )

Hello,
I need your help: I've got a Sony Xperia SP. It freezes very frequently and to reboot it, I need to swipe the back cover and push the reset button.
This problem happens very often but randomly.
Even during a call or searching a phone number in my contacts.
I'm in version 4.3 and my Xperia SP's model number is C5303.
Have you got a fix or any solution to solve this issue ?
Thanks !

if you have original stock firmware you can do it via PC Companion , if you cant do it for any reason then do it with flashtool
just download . ftf file ( cca 800 MB) and find some tutorial on youtube if you do it with flashtool , but i can recommend you to install some costum rom becuse there is a lot of benefits you should use becuse XSP have very good specifications
if you have any q just ask and some1 will help
