I guys, it is about two months that my phone keeps rebooting randomatically (sometime also 5 times in a row). I tought that it was something
Relater with a custom rom. So I flashed one of the stock jb through odin but still the phone keeps rebooting.
What else can I try?
Thanks in advance.
Is Your device old? Maybe the battery is damaged already? I had such an issue with my xperia x10.

Hi, thanks for your answer. Actually I changed it a month ago. I also checked for damages to the emmc. The eMMC check app does not freeze but under BrickBug it shows "Yes insance chip". Could be this the cause?

I kind of still think it's battery.
Is it an original battery for samsung and do You still have the old one?
If You have the old one try using this one (if it isn't that broken yet).
I would test it with other battery.
Can somebody borrow You such a battery for a test?

You were absolutely right. Was battery's fault..

Why on earth would you want to do such a thing? I shudder at the thought.
It might not be firmware related... when I was getting random rebooted like that it got worse and worse regardless of the rom used until I finally sent it in and discovered it was the motherboard. Maybe your issue is similar.

No ROM will solve your restarts, if you ran a clean stock ROM and it also had them. It's most probably a HW problem in your phone.
"Overly enthusiastic" MIUI followers tend to push it in every possible thread as the solution for all problems, without even understanding the problem. It's not.
If your Nexus One is under warranty then the best option is to stop playing around with ROMs and send it in for repair.

HTC will still repair faults for you but it will be at a price. It might be worth phoning their service dept and having a chat.
What makes you think it's not under warranty anyway? I thought HTC gave the N1 with a 2 year warranty?

I would at least try. I bought a N1 off of ebay and the camera stopped functioning altogether after about a month.
I called them, they said that they do warranty's based on the device number, not the based on the original owner.
Also, the bootloader was unlocked. They never said anything.
thanks for info i will try

Hello Friends,
Nowadays, I am facing a weird problem. Everytime when i was using my phone for a while, screen flickers and phone shutdown. When starting the phone, it says battery discharged or 1%, needs to recharge again and it happen in every 2-3 hours.
Also, i tried different roms thinking might be problem with the ROMs (i tried STOCK as well other ROMS). I also tried to calliberate the battery with different paid and free application but no luck.
Could you please suggest is my battery dead or some tweaks needs to be done?
Early help is really appreciated.
Thanks.

It is almost 1 year.
Need a new battery mate, this is normal around this time, I've had mine since November 2011 and it had the same thing happen. Have just ordered a new stock.
A lot of people started suffering with this after 10 months so you've done quite well to get 12 out of it.

No after a forced restart its fine again looks like the GPU just crashed out.
any ideas on the cause?
GPU on its way out ?
No idea not a heavy GPU user. No restart since Jb update so I'm putting it down to that.

I am no expert but the same happened to me once every 1 or 2 days in a SGS3 that i had for 10 days almost because it totally stopped working so i bought this phone. I was told that this matrix happens because of an error of some kind and so the AMOLED displays this... I dont know it is true but this is what i know

I have been phoned by Movistar (cell provider) in Argentina, saying that the issue was factory related to that particular SGS3. They apologized for that but didn't give me the reason why the AMOLED behaved like that. Just for curiosity I am going to talk to someone that knows about this in the next days in Movistar Tech Service.
I've tried several different firmwares. Belgian, Italian, CE, etc. I've done factory rewipes, I've gotten root, I've removed root. Whatever I do, the phone is possessed. It randomly turns off completely or it reboots. Sometimes when using the internet, sometimes when trying to open the lockscreen, sometimes when I simply touch the screen! Anybody having the same problems? Any solutions?
Maybe it's hardware problem? Does it happens on 4.1?

Nope. 4.1 was perfect!
Try to remove your SD card.
If it doesn't work, then try to format internal storage.
If it doesn't work, then make a factory reset and install your app one by one, because there could be one that gives issues with the new system.
Let us know..

I did that. Which of your 15 phones is it? I went with Pure-X Blaster for my V. It is pretty similar to 4.3. It's 4.22.
I am a bit surprised. People usually would not have such a tolerance, that was only known for a fruit religion.
Downgraded to 4.1.2 which used to be rock solid...now getting random reboots and shutdowns!

Do you have your bootloader unlocked?
The power control function of the battery is dead on your device.
The reason I asked if you had tried 4.1 since is for me upgrading to 141 last year I had the same issue and so did a lot of others. The T is very prone to this failure, it can happen thorough everyday use but more commonly appears to happen post major update.
Very simple to rectify, if under warranty Sony will replace as they did with me, if no warranty you need to buy a new battery and replace it(plenty of guides on youtube.)

Setting to 3G only solved random reboot on my xv.
It seems that switching from 2g to 3g is the root cause.

Already tried that. I think Wobba-Lee was correct. Somehow the update can fry the battery sensor.
I've had this happen before and found the SIM card had moved slightly. Removing it and refitting it solved the issue.

I had the same random reboot issue with my Xperia V, it only happened when on battery power power, when on charge it worked flawlessly. I Ordered a new battery and has worked ever since.

hi guys, I have some problems with my phone/battery i'm using rimmer's aosp atm but it is surely not rom related btw (I've already done some troubleshooting myself!)
well the phone (xperia T) started suddenly to shut down itself randomly. i did many tests (i was afraid about the phone sdcards at the beginning), then i noticed that if i keep the wall charger connected the phone never shuts down, so i think i have a died battery? do you agree?
only solution take it to the service centre?
thanks in advance!!
May I ask, how old is your phone?
less than 1 year old: i bought it exactly 9 months ago ;(

hmmm possible, but I'd expect 2 years shelf life. Well who knows how long it was laying on the shelf.
There were some defect battery reports with reboot symptoms.
Thanks. Yes I remember someone reported that, but here it doesn't reboot, it suddenly shut down. then I reboot, and it shut down almost immediately after the launcher start up. If I reboot with charger plugged in, it stays on...
It seems to happen especially when battery is around 50%, and not happening when battery is fully charged..?!
Well will try soon if that will happen with stock based too, if so I will restore the backup TA, flash a stock FTF and then go to service.. ;(
Thanks again bye!
I have similar problems , does/did your phone shut down if you open the recovery ? , did you fix it ?
phone did shutdown suddenly when it was on, with any rom i tried. but strangely, in recovery it didn't shutdown if i remember right, in fact i could try different roms and don't remember it shutting down while in recovery.
brought it to the service, they replaced the battery, and problem was definitively fixed this way

So we can pretty much conclude that it is the battery
You can also feel it that your battery is getting hotter then normal or if you take it out it you can spin it like spintop
