hi guys, I have some problems with my phone/battery i'm using rimmer's aosp atm but it is surely not rom related btw (I've already done some troubleshooting myself!)
well the phone (xperia T) started suddenly to shut down itself randomly. i did many tests (i was afraid about the phone sdcards at the beginning), then i noticed that if i keep the wall charger connected the phone never shuts down, so i think i have a died battery? do you agree?
only solution take it to the service centre?
thanks in advance!!
May I ask, how old is your phone?
less than 1 year old: i bought it exactly 9 months ago ;(

hmmm possible, but I'd expect 2 years shelf life. Well who knows how long it was laying on the shelf.
There were some defect battery reports with reboot symptoms.
Thanks. Yes I remember someone reported that, but here it doesn't reboot, it suddenly shut down. then I reboot, and it shut down almost immediately after the launcher start up. If I reboot with charger plugged in, it stays on...
It seems to happen especially when battery is around 50%, and not happening when battery is fully charged..?!
Well will try soon if that will happen with stock based too, if so I will restore the backup TA, flash a stock FTF and then go to service.. ;(
Thanks again bye!
I have similar problems , does/did your phone shut down if you open the recovery ? , did you fix it ?
phone did shutdown suddenly when it was on, with any rom i tried. but strangely, in recovery it didn't shutdown if i remember right, in fact i could try different roms and don't remember it shutting down while in recovery.
brought it to the service, they replaced the battery, and problem was definitively fixed this way

So we can pretty much conclude that it is the battery
You can also feel it that your battery is getting hotter then normal or if you take it out it you can spin it like spintop

Hey every1!
I was hoping that my first post here would be something more funny then this... But... you can´t always get what you wan´t.
My problem... My note is completly dead!
I was messing around with editing some pictures i just took on the kids when my phone just frooze... I then held the powerbutton for about 15sec before it died. After that... stonedead!
No matter what i do with it, it´s just black and doesn´t respond to anything.
- Had 20+% battery in it when it frooze, i´ve tried to charge it but no difference.
- Had the battery pulled for 30mins+ , no change.
- Can´t get to recovery mode whatever i do.
- Connected it do the computer, no sound no nuttin.
The phone is/was rooted, running rocketrom V.20 with abyssnote kernel 3.3 when it died.
Haven´t had any issues with it until now.
So... Any ideas on what i should try next? Besides using it as a really expensive paperweight that is
HELP!! =)

Well... Been charging the brick overnight (12+ hours), and still not a single sign of life.
I guess there's nuttin more to it then to return it.
Hopefully they won't notice the root and custom rom and kernel, i meen... It's completly dead so it shouldn't be a problem right?!
If you find, try other battery once.
- Use JIG
Switch off your phone and take out the battery for 15-20 seconds
Install the battery back but DO NOT turn it on
Plug this USB JIG DONGLE into the micro-USB port of the phone
Wait for a few seconds. You should see the Download Mode logo on the screen.
Unplug the module.

I got it back like 5 days ago...
And, it was the main circuit board that had faulted! That ment they couldn´t get the info of it ,or atleast they decided that it would be to much trouble to do so.
So it´s now back and running again... rooted, running RR v22 and franco kernel v6
Didn´t cost me anything
Hopefully it won´t happen again thoo... I can´t be without it anymore! Used my old 3gs when it was on service... goddam hated it!

First and for most I want to congratulate you on having your phone back & fully functional again. I too am in the same situation right now where my phone is hard bricked and can't turn on in any shape or form. I sen't it to a local shop to fix who do Jtag for this phone but say they can't get it to start. I wanted to know when you said "the main circuit board that had faulted" did they replace any parts? or just flash software with JTag again? Any help would be really appreciated.
Did yummy take out the battery and then insert it and den did yu try booting it up????
press thanx if I helped yu sent from sga
That's strange, my battery is inaccurate. When it arrives ate 17% it dies, when I start charging again it starts at 1%, then when arrive at 80% it appears at 100%
Something is really wrong, I dunno why.
I already tried wiping the battery stats (on recovery), but still the same thing.
Any help? Any app to fix it?
Thanks.

Maybe try wiping battery stats in cwm recovery and reflash the rom ur using I had this issue but mine used to die out at 7% or so after I did that haven't seen battery issues since then I'm on miui rom might work for u too. I think it happens if you flash new roms a lot at that time I was experimenting with all kinds of roms then stuck around with miui since I believe its the best
Sorry for my bad use of English;
I got my lg optimus 2x 1 month ago and i noticed a huge battery drain.I was thinking that it will work fine after 6-7 full cycles.I saw a thread in which a guy that after doing a factory reset(he had the same problems as i have) the battery will work normally.
I did that but it didn't work for me. Is this the solution?Did I do it right?Do i have to buy a new battery? I have rooted my phone yesterday so I was thinking is this a software issue? I have lg official 2.3.4 ROM. DO i need another ROM?
please.
Help me guys.
Thank you!!!

I don't leave wifi ,background data or 3g on,if i leave it charged at 100% at the time i got to bed,the next day when i get back from school, without using the phone my battery level is around 40%.
Using a live wallpaper? The factory reset only works because it stops the application/rogue setting from being there.
If you get 'Battery Monitor' you will be able to see what is draining you battery, and any 'wake-locks' or 'partial-wakelocks' that are stopping the phone from going into sleep mode.
look at the battery usage indicator and post a screenshot of it. Maybe the problem can be isolated.

Yes that's why I did a general test drive for two weeks on my phone before starting flashing and rooting and what not. Unfortunately our friend here has already flashed CM7 on it.
Unless he's able to restore stock software I'm affraid he won't be covered by warranty...
If he uses NVFlash he will be able to get it back to stock
Its easy to put back stock firmware if he knows wchich one he had, btw usually there is one backup on your sd card, check for it.

Good day everyone
As of a month ago, my phone began to restart randomly, but this was about once a week. After some time, the phone just went into a boot loop.
The phone works if charging, but when removed from the charger, the phone simply turns off immediately and goes into a bootloop and the battery charge goes to about 2%. I have tried repairing with Sony Ericsson PC Companion, but no luck!
Has anyone encountered the same problem or knows how to assist me ? This would be greatly appreciated ! Thank You

Had the phone probably over a year now. The battery would have the same age, i never changed it. Would it be a battery problem if the phone is trying to restart all the time ? Wouldn't it just turn off ?

Try PCC with a nice guide. just Google it!

I kind of still think it's battery.
Is it an original battery for samsung and do You still have the old one?
If You have the old one try using this one (if it isn't that broken yet).
I would test it with other battery.
Can somebody borrow You such a battery for a test?
