Hey guys :fingers-crossed: I have CM 11 on my S3 mini, and the battery stay only for 1 day and i have to recharge it again
so my question is :
Is it normal to charge S3 mini everyday or it will harm the battery?
Keep in mind that you only have a 1500 mAh battery. It is normal for me.

It's normal, because of less battery capacity it has. If I use it a lot, I recharge it twice a day.

Hey people,
I have an Galaxy S i9000 wich is about 2-3 years old.
Since a year my battery is draining a little fast, but since a month its sick and frustrating because it last -+3 hours when using whatsapp/music 70% of the time (7 hours with less use).
Thats not nice, and I thought my battery could getting weaker becaue my phone is almost 3 years old*.
ROM: Cyanogenmod 10, 4.1.2
Kernel: Semaphore 2.5, I9000XXJVT
I don't think it's just the rom, Android 4.0 was draining also (but still better battery life in comparisation with 4.1.2...)
Now my question is, do you think purchase a new battery for the I9000 will solve this problem?

It seems that the problem is the battery itself, i would try to replace it
Had the same case as you (even same rom and kernel) and i changed the battery... now it's a lot better with almost 24hrs of battery use between one charge to another

It's possible your battery has degraded but you can install the Better Battery Stats app to get a better idea of what is eating so much battery.
Thank you, I will purchase a new battery soon. One more question, are the smartphone batteries (SKU: 59974) from DealExtreme good? I mean, this is from a Chinese wholesale site (made in China) so I'm not sure about good battery performance.
After upgrading to jelly bean my battery life was very very poor, had to charge twice a day, and could loose up to 20 % in 2 hours normal usage, searched high and wide for a fix,tried everything until I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012452, worked perfectly, phone has been running normal usage for 12 hrs now and still have 75 % battery, very impressed , might even be better than what I was getting with ics.

So After using my stock battery for 3 years, I thought it was high time and should be buying a battery.....
My Analysis :-
On Stock Rom, it is perfect and I use Battery Extender Kernel andgives me about 4 days of medium usage
On Cm7 Roms it gives me abt 2 days with medium usage
I dint try on Cm9 and Cm10.1 but I hope that it wud be lower that CM7
I bought it at RS 500 from Samsung Retail Store and it is stock 1350 MaH battery and I am really Happy with it

Is there any "working" battery for the ace out there with more than 1350mah? My battery lasts 1-2 minutes with screen on,I think it's pretty damaged xD

I took a battery 2100 MaH, on ebay. I don't know if it's a real 2100 MaH battery, but, i'm sure that the battery is 2x more long ! I can use my phone during 5-6 days.
It is a pretty old thread, anyway... Samsung is using very good batteries, if you want to go on a budget buy a third party battery, some are a near the same as the samsung only less epensive BUT it will not be of a higher capacity than the original... why ? Because the "energie density" of the Samsung batteries is certainly one of the best on the market. Meaning that a third party company is not able to create, within the same "enveloppe", "sized space" a battery with a higher capacity. That is simple as that. (with the same technology of course).
Of course after many years you can replace an old battery with one that can be of a higher capacity .. cause the technology has evolved. (not always possible)
Battery not last longing.
I bought new original samsung battery 6 months before, but now its not giving me desirable output. It only lasts a whole day only if data is not connected whole time and only few number of calls are made or attended. I am frustated now. Need help.
Try ERD battery. Is good and decent. Its Indian battery and price about 250. Find in Google.

and that was 4 days ago.
the problem is, the battery drains so fast
for example, when the phone is idle, it may use up to 12% in about 7 hours
and if i'm surfing the internet using mobile data (3g)
it may not even remains 2 hours of continuous usage
it also doesn't stay much with display on> about 3.5 hours only
while my friend who ordered with me the same battery
its battery remains much longer than me
could it be the rom i'm using or something else?
i'm on [ROM] Sweet ROM V11 LTA 4.1.2 [October 25th]
Use battery stats plus, free from gplay, to check what drain it and estimated time. Even the ori 2500 battery does better than that.

I'd suggest that you return to stock ROM and make tests to see whether the problem is in the ROM or the battery itself.
Hi, my s3 i9305 is having battery drain.I am using paranoid ROM by @rodman01 it drops from full 100% to 45% in 6 hours on standby with no usage at all! And 50% in 7 hours on stock.
I'm using this device for 1.5 years. So simply I wana ask that is my phone having a bad battery or it is another issue like ROMs etc. What's your s3's battery timing and which ROM you are using?
