stock launcher
Better Keyboard

Calendar
Camera
Clock
Contacts
Email
FM Radio
Gallery
Home Selector
Market (doesn't work)
SlideMe instead of market
Media Player
Messaging
Phone
Root Explorer
SIM Toolkit
Task Manager
Voice Recorder
Settings.
Install from recovery only.
1. Copy "flyboyovyick" folder to your sdcard>clockworkmod>backup

Ok cool. I'm excited
I wonder why do you think your ROM is better than Quarx's because if it wasn't you wouldn't make it?
Tell us more about the improvements..

Then what is the purpose of making it?
Will it have style improvements? Or any improvements at all comparing to the official ones?

The purpose of making it is to create a clean rom for people that might not want everything customised. eg. having a blank cardboard box. You can do anything with it.
A simple rom for simple people.
The improvements will be that it might be a bit faster and a bit more space.
i will in the future be creating a rom that is customized
Make it root, take away everything except the essentials, use launcherpro as the default launcher and your done!

Good luck to you bud, hope it will be soon because would be good to see how it performs over stock and other modified Roms.
And just a little note to everyone moaning about this already. if you don't like what he is doing then you know what to do. don't download it then you won't have lost anything will you. he is doing this in his own time with no funding so maybe not should grateful. why don't you create your own Rom and then we can moan about it!!!!

Thanks. I have started work now so it might be done in the next few days, if everything goes to plan!
When you got a bit of time mate could do with some help on the kernal update from modaco. can't seem to update it from recovery.

Although you are correct in some way, that wasn't a very smart question. Not everyone likes one same launcher right? But does that mean every dev and android phone manufacturer should put about ten different launchers in their ROMS to suit everyone's needs? Ah, ok!

Just what it says, flash this from custom recovery, and it will deodex your phone, and the font files are included for any theme designers.

If you already have a rom, it's probably deodexed...it enables themes to be used on the phone.

unless you have the original rom, rooted it and installed custom recovery.
@ts
can explain what the update.zip actually does? ill look into it myself but probably when i have more time.
Too bad doesn't work
Just out of interest are any of the active members of this forum considering creating a custom rom for the 2X?
Hopefully, because this is a crappy system you get out of the box. To many running apps that takes to much ram and slows down the system. To many pre-installed apps. So i'm really looking forward to a custom ROM. Does any one know how custom ROMS are made?
Well i hope lots of Devs get this phone as it is quite the powerhouse! Man i wish i knew how to make custom ROMs! there should be a dummys guide!! haha but yeah ive heard Paul O'Brien at Modoco is thinking of getting one.... now thats what you call support

How do i disable them?
SuperOneClick v1.7 worked fine, so my phone is now rooted
U can delete the apps. (Backups)
Or just rename them change ****.apk to ****.bak for example. Dont know if this will restore on reboot.
Maybe someone else can answer to this. Perm or temproot?

You can use rootexplorer to remove or move apk from /system/app. Preloaded fsecure is slowing down the phone, just delete it.
To make custom rom we need clockwork mod recovery on 2X
I have used z4root, and installed Titanium Backup. Is there any danger to uninstalling apps that are pre-installed?

It all worked fine. And i have made backups. As soon a good stable rom is out i'm done using this from lg. If i download a new home launcher, will the old one still use any resourses other than space?

No, you can disable lg home launcher from “home selector“ in the main menu. i have ADWlauncher instead of lg launcher and i don't see lg launcher anymore in system processes

What do you mean by "home selector" in the main menu? I don't have my x2 yet, so I suppose it's something special by LG? I don't know this setting from my HTC.

make sure you are installing Miui v5 themes
OR
Post link of the themes.. i will try and tell you the solution...
There is a work around in the forums for bypassing the theme requirements. Search it up. It will null their stupid rules on it.

I am trying to install the iron man theme from the forum. It is a v5 theme only.
Tried with other themes also, not being able to install.
Sorry, I am not allowed to post external links here yet.

it is causing a lot of problems..
anyways, I do not want to root my 3 day old phone yet
Go to local tab
Press menu
Select import from sd card
Select the theme file
Done!
Note that the themes may give authentication error but somehow it got fixed on my mi3 after 1 week (try wipe cache of all and wipe data of themes selector)
In order to use third party themes we have to register as a developer/theme designer. For that we need to upload our ID's copy as well.
Whenever I tried authentication failure is appearing.
Removed
hii I got verification code now what should be done where to fill d code
As the thread title suggest, its yet another stock ROM for Nexus 5.

Tips and Tricks:
- install Naptime by Francisco from Playstore. One of the best app to be ever released IMO.
- Install xda edition BatteryStats app to monitor your device.
- If your device is not going to Deep Sleep state(Stock issue with latest Play Services) then install Disable Service app from Playstore and go to Google Services Framework and check SystemUpdateService. You might have to do this after every reboot.
- sometimes after reboot(continuously rebooting...like when I try to customize my layers theme and I have to reboot every time just to apply or delete) , when you open PlayStore, It says background data disabled although its not. Just removed PlayStore from recent apps and re-open PlayStore. It should work fine now.
updated.
Only Stock for now.

Hi,
Any chances for an odex, non-rooted build of Android N, when Google uploads the source code to AOSP?
I'd pay for this.
Yes, there is a chance. Rom with Gapps, no root and odex'll be released to continue stocklike feeling for N5 as i can predict

Are you going to do it?
No, me not, too slow internet connection to download AOSP but i know, that someone'll do it like on N4 with M release
Been living with stock Google OTAs for almost 5 years now, it's a real good feeling.
You'll need to unlock bootloader for new release For me, stock google images are good, but not too good for daily use

Yeah, I'm aware of that. Pity, wish Google kept supporting it. Receiving OTAs is effortless and convenient.
I will be uploading stock flashable zip till Google supports it.
I want to know if people are interested in modified stock too.

Stock flashable zip sounds great.
Will I need to flash Gapps too? Or does it come embeded already?
I suppose I will not be able to sideload it through stock recovery, right?

Maybe you could do like Cyanogen, a stock AOSP zip, and the user flashes the Gapps of choice?
I like the "stock" Gapps myself. Nexus-esque experience.
Yes continue to debloat, and leave gapps to the individual preference. Thank you for your work.
