Try to put a correct ROM zip with the name PG32IMG.zip on your SD card and then boot into bootloader(Power + Vol Down), it'll should pick up the zip from sd card and update it.
Follow the onscreen instructions to update.
ummmm sryry but when i look for a stock rom australia it is always in the form of an exe not a zip can you plz link me to a zip rom

You simply need to extract the Rom.zip from the RUU exe.

When you run the RUU.exe, it will uncompress the exe and you will find the ROM.zip file in the %TEMP% directory, which may or may not be the roaming directory you searched in. I would also check the Local and LocalLow folders. Also, you need to keep the RUU.exe screen opened while you are searching the directories because when you exit the program it will clean up the %TEMP% directory.
You could attempt to flash CWM back on your phone by using the PG32IMG.zip file and see if HBOOT will pick it up. If that is successful, then you can flash a ROM and you should be good to go.

You need to flash the boot.img of the rom that you're restoring first before restoring. Also, what were you trying to do that cause the phone getting stuck at the white screen?

How do i flash the boot.img? I was returning to the stock rooted rom on my phonethrough a restore and my phone just got stuck at the white screen. SO, i just freaked out and relocked my bootloader, then tried to have it flash the original PH39IMG zip and now my phone wont load that zip. It says its doing it then goes back to the main menu in HBOOT.

fastboot flash boot.img
But before that your first sentence proves that you've haven't done enough reading before you attempted this. Reunlock the bootloader...read this guide how to do it (read it several times before you attempt). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1416836
If you have any questions after reading several times, please ask them in that thread.

Thank you. I tried doing all of that and my phone is still stuck a the HTC White screen. I did everything up to the flashing the VIVID_CWM_ROOT_VER2 zip and it is still stuck at the white HTC BOOT screen.
By any chance is your bootloader unlocked?

1. Make sure to have the zip of CWM on the root of your sdcard
2. Have the phone off
3. Power into HBOOT (power + vol down)
4. Select recovery
5. Flash the zip of CWM
Hey. I tried doing that and my phone is still stuck at the HTC white bootup screen.

Yeah your phone should do that because you didn't flash the boot.img when restoring the stock rom. Get a rom that you want to use and follow the instructions on how to flash the boot and then flashing the rom thru CWM
what do you mean boot.img? I have a rom that i want to use HoliRaider v 1.6. Should i just flash that rom through CWM?
read step three of the superuser guide
Thank you so much!! I have a question about that. How do I "Extract the boot.img out of the kernel file you want and put it in the same directory as your fastboot.exe/fastboot executable"? How do I put it in the same directory as my fastboot.exe/fastboot executable?
HoliRaider has a separate kernel file to d/l

Thank you so much!!!! YOu are a lifesaver!!!!!!! I got my phone to turn back on after doing that!! THANK YOU!!!!!
I am sorry if there has already been a question posted on this, if so please direct me in the right way.
I have the HTC Developer Edition and am currently on Software 1.29.1540.3 and my phone has issued me the update (hurray! I need to fix the dam home and back buttons! so annoying...anyway) When I try to do the update (1.29.1540.16), my phone loads me into my custom recovery (ClockworkMod Recovery v6.0.3.1) which then issues begin! Forever is stuck in Run Bug_fix tool. WHY?! WHY?!?!?!?!
I have provided pictures of the steps that my phone goes through so if you can tell me anything about it, please do so thank you!

looks like you are with custome recovery, you need to flash STOCK Recovery for Dev edition and after that you will be able to install OTA.
Here is the link for stock recovery :

Update issue-unable to mount internal sdcard
Hi,
I tried to perform the software update using CWM V6.0.3.0 sadly what I got is "invalid command argument" and "can't mount internal sd card" !!! Please help!
@mikeg818 : you need to flash recovery in Fastboot Mode
@sampagna : you cannot update if you have custom recovery. So first flash stock recovery in fastboot and then do the update ( provided you are on stock ROM)

@x017in: Sorry for the naive question. I still have a lot to learn about android. I have rooted my phone to put down CWM. Now I know that I am having custom recovery, but I am not sure if I am having custom ROM or stock ROM. Custom ROM refers to s.th like Cyanogenmod, right?
Yep. That's what custom Rom means.. so now you need to put back the recovery that came stock with the phone. Only then will the OTA update work

How to flash stcok recovery?
Hey guys, I'm new to android so I was wondering how to flash stock recovery (steps, guide)? and what does it do? Those pictures show exactly what's happening to me.
By the way I bought the htc one developer edition, it was supposed to be new but it came with CWM. So It wont let me install software OTA.
Hey guys so I was changing my roms the same way Ive been doing it since forever but this time for some reason no matter what rom I flash the phone wont boot into the rom. It wont even reach the bootanimation. It will reach the splash screen and stay there or reboot back into recovery. Is my phone bricked? All help is welcome.

4Ext Recovery
HTC Incredible S

What ROM did you attempt to flash?
Did the ROM's author have ay specific instructions about flashing and did you follow them?
Did you attempt to flash a stock RUU/ROM?

When I flash a ROM I don't get to the boot animation I'm stuck on the HTC splash screen. Also when I flash the ROM and do a backup with 4ext usually the backup file name is date.ROM name but 4ext can't recognize the ROM name it says unknown. Is it not flashing properly?

I would recommend running the proper RUU from here, which should reset your phone to it's original config. From there, if you want to root again, follow the same steps, just use an unsecure boot image for your phone. You could download a zip of your stock, extract it, and flash it manually. Hope this helps.

If there isn't one there isn't one, don't try flashing a file for another phone as you'll end up with a brick!
