Hi all,
Purchased the watch couple days ago, yesterday was my first day to really put it through it's paces. Everything seems copacetic except for the WiFi syncing. I've got cloud sync turned on in the Wear app, and WiFi on the watch is set to "Automatic". I verified the watch is indeed connected to a valid WiFi network, with no exclamation points, etc., and I turn off BT on my phone (but keep it's data connection on.) I then try sending a text from the watch, no luck - "Try again from your phone." fail message. I send myself a text from my wife's phone to my phone, the phone registers it, but the watch doesn't. I go into Keep and delete a note on the phone, the watch still shows it. It's not until they reconnect via BT that everything syncs again. Oh, and I tried it on three different WiFi networks (2 at work, 1 at home), no success.
Here's the only thing that I can think of being different. The very first time I turned WiFi off on the watch, there's was a small Yes/No splash screen that came up saying something to the effect of "turning this off will prevent you from syncing"... I THINK. Honestly I can't recall what it said precisely (I was too excited playing with the watch), but the multiple times I've toggled WiFi since then, I have not seen that message again. Anyone know what message I'm talking about? Of course since it hasn't come up again I'm convinced it's the reason WiFi syncing isn't working now. I even factory reset the watch and cleared the data on my Wear app, hoping to get that message back. (It could be completely unrelated, it's just bugging me that ever since I chose "Yes I'm sure", syncing has not worked.)
Thanks in advance for any ideas/suggestions.

Did you ever figure this out?
I have the LG WATCH R with the Urbane rom and have the same issue. It shows connect to Wifi just fine but if I am away from the phone, I cannot send anything...just like when I have no connection.
I think the pop up you mentioned just had a option to prevent the warning from coming up again but should not affect the option to disable and enable the cloud sync.
Nope, afraid not. I posted it to the Google Android wear forums and a couple of "experts" replied to me with suggestions that did not help (factory reset, mainly.)

Yep that has been my "solutions" too so far. I am not sure how the Cloud Sync works do you? It is linked to your Google account? If so, I have 3 email accounts..could that create an issue? I am basically looking for anything right now
Here's what I did find out: my daily driver phone is a Moto X 2nd gen running Lollipop. I factory reset an old Samsung S4 and set it up with a Google account I'd just created. I then factory reset the watch and paired it to that phone. Wouldn't you know, the WiFi notifications worked!
I then factory reset the S4 again, this time using my main Google account to set it up. Factory reset the watch again also. After pairing them, the WiFi notifications did NOT work!
So, I can only conclude the issue is caused by how I have my main Google account configured, although right now I've gone through all the settings twice and verified that I have all of my sharing settings (like location) enabled. Argh.

Well my LG Watch R is now able to work with Wifi for real but only at home. Not sure what I did...I just deleted my accounts from Settings and added them back.
At work, though even when it shows connected, I do not receive any info from the Phone which is very lame since it was at work where I could really use it.

I have 3 google accounts so I actually deleted only two that are not my primary. Then I went to the Sync options and made sure all was checked.
Then also for the Location I removed any other devices that are showing under my account that are not my Phone (tablet and older phones) but not sure which one of those did the trick.

Huh, okay, I'll give those a try. Thanks.
I did open a ticket with Android Wear Support and was told they were going to escalate the issue and I'd be contacted in 48 hours. That was Sunday. I just asked for an update and they replied that they have no solution ATM and no time frame to provide one. Heh! Oh well.
Hey guys I recently purchased a used SM-T580 Galaxy Tab off of Amazon and the device came with and FRP lock that I can't seem to figure out how to bypass. I've been on YouTube for the last few days just trying nummerous different methods like the SideSync, OTG, Odin, and Realtek method just to name a few, however none of them are compatible with this tablet. It's very frustrating because I need this tablet working in order to take notes in my college classes. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks.

The tab is compatible with odin, i would recommend flashing twrp, and installing a frp bypass zip, they exist but i don't know where one is, either that or find someone willing to send you a activated twrp backup, you can get to download via home + power + volume down and recovery via home + power + vol up(releasing vol up after samsung shown on the screen)

Also you can try flashing a firmware update in odin from SamMobile
flashing would not help to remove frp there are some other things into that

Thats why a recommended installing a frp bypass zip through twrp first, much more likely to work.

I was having the same problem, but i figured it out last night. Without OTG cable, Odin, SideSync, Realtek, or a PC. I'd been messing with it for 3 days, so Im not 100% sure of what everything said and i'm definitely not going to relock it to try an duplicate it, but if you've been all over youtube then you've seen methods that require a wifi connection, (I found it easiest to use my phone's wifi hotspot) you disconnect your hotspot or unplug your router immediately when it says checking for software update, which appears after clicking accept on the privacy policy. (Again it's easier to just turn off the hotspot than to unplug your router" When done correctly it souls say "couldn't sign in" and then the next screen will either ask you to set up time and date or it asks you to add a name to the tablet (can't remember which is first) then asks to set up a screen lock passcode or pattern (set up either one), after doing all this 100 times I noticed it asked me if i wanted to set up a IMAP/POP3 account to use within the Gmail app (which I'd been skipping) but for some reason it didn't give me this option every time. You have to be connected to the internet for the next part so if you haven't already go ahead and turn your hotspot back on or router and add any email address other than a Gmail (I used my yahoo account) then follow through with the setup into it takes you back to the very first screen you see when you turned on the tablet. Now just turn the tablet screen off and back on (just the screen, do not power down the tablet) put in your lockscreen password and now In the top right corner there should be a little yellow icon which lets you switch users (if you see this, you've got it beat) now create a new user signing into your Gmail and Samsung accounts (if you don't have one, create a new account) once you're done with that it will take you to the home screen, pull down the notification bar and go into settings (notice since you're on an added user you can't factory reset the device) find "Users", and then switch back to the owner profile, it then tells you that you still need to set up the tablet to continue. Once i clicked okay it now let me pull down the notification bar to access settings, but this time you're on the owners account so you can factory reset it, go to "Back up and Reset" and then go ahead and factory reset it again. If done correctly the FRP will no longer be on the tablet. I know this probably sounds extremely complex so if you have any questions feel free to message me and Ill give you my email and phone number and ill help walk you through it
You are a life saver!

Hi,
I've been a lurker on this forum for over 3 years.. I never got round to signing up.
I've just created account, with the purpose of telling you how grateful I am, I have been looking for a solution all night.
Nothing, literally NOTHING! worked, but your solution worked with no issues, I even had my old apps restored.
I spent HOURS reading through countless posts, watching youtube videos.. trying everything..
I must admit, your post was a little complicated, I ended up giving up 2 or 3 times to try other things, but eventually went back to it, read everything super carefully, and it worked perfectly!
Thank you so much!!!
Mike.

Wow, it's pretty awesome to see someone else was able to use my crazy instructions and come out successful. I spent almost two days doing the same thing. I can't even count how many forums I read, videos i watched or methods I tried. I was driving myself crazy (and everyone around me) i was beginning to think it was impossible on this device. I have been using xda for many years and I'm thankful for all the knowledge I've gained from this forum so when I was able to beat it i felt I was obligated to pay it forward.
I wish I had the time to create a video explaining how to do it, I'm sure it would make a lot more sense that way.
Anyway I'm so glad I was able to help

T580XAR1APG1 and if it's not working try resetting it again through recovery mode and start from scratch. I played with it for what seemed like an eternity before I even paid any attention to the prompt to set up IMAP/POP so I'm not certain how many times.. You might be skipping a step or you may not be getting the timing right when you disconnect the Wi-Fi connection. Try it a few more times and if you can't get any further message me and I'll see if I can walk you through it

THANK YOU!!!!!!! in large shouty caps.
I screwed up my Samsung Tab E the other day, saw your workaround yesterday, and after a few tries I am in my tablet again this morning. I don't use it for much as I have other computers, but I do use it for a few things and having it rendered useless was a pretty big pill to swallow. I still need to make the new account the primary user, or get back in to the original account, but I'm going to leave that for right now. I'm just happy as HECK that i bypassed that gmail thing and got in. Wish I'd found your post right off the bat, but mostly just happy I found it at ALL. Many thanks!!!!!!!

The PG1 can be downgraded to T580UEU1APF5, then it will work. However, I have to create second user in order to switch to owner account.
A message will pop up which says " To use this tablet, you first have to sign in to an owner's google account in use on this tablet when it was last reset."
Reboot the tablet, it will go straight to owner's account. Remove any Google account before doing the Factory Reset, you're done.
I successfully bypassed FRP on 3 tablets by downgrade from PG1 ( released July 2016 ) to PF5 ( released June 2016 ) . The PL4 ( released Dec 2016) , QC2 ( released Mar 2017 ) will lock the downgrade attempt. This downgrade will work on the SM-T580 with firmware build PG1 or older.
Look at the last 3 characters of your build, the alphabetical order will tell the year and month
PG1
P= 16 or 2016
G= 7 or July
PG1= version 1, released on July 2016.
The PG1 can update to PL4 and use the method that can download Google Account Manager . This app allows to sign in with your own Google Account.
Be aware, each method will work with certain build and model, you should know more than one method to bypass FRP.

PG1
P= 16 or 2016
G= 7 or July

I've downgraded to PF5, done a factory reset and wiped cache. Followed the instructions and unplugged the router just as it finished "checking for updates". This gets me to the point where is says "there is a problem with the Google servers. Try again later." But when I click next, it just loops back to the "agreement" screen. What am I doing wrong?
edit: Or, can you point me to a post with the PL4 Google Account Manager method?

When downgraded to PF5, it should work but you have to use Personal Hotspot to quickly disconnect at the step checking Software Update.
Use your router is too slow for quick disconnect. Try again by using your phone connection, I also have done over hundreds for FRP Bypass by this method.
You only need Personal Hotspot to create first user with PIN, the rest no need internet connection to add second user. When finish the profile of second user, reboot.
Your tablet should boot to the welcome screen with PIN, unlock it then you're ready to do the Factory Reset. The whole process takes less than 10 minutes.
If it's not working, upgrade the firmware to PL4. I have done bypass FRP over hundreds of T580 or P580 by this method, guaranteed working.

This method is not working with Android 7, so don't try. The current Android 7, build QF1 can downgrade to Android 6, build PL4 with ease.

Well i have found a way to baypas all of that, sory for not writing corectly but im learning englisch!
So my method works on latest update and latest android version for sm-t580 that is Nougat 7.0
When you are blocked by google mesage that says that you need last used google mail before reset, go back to scren where you chose wifi network, and click create new, then when keyboard shows up, click on setings sign at botom.
Now you have a samsung keyboard writen i left uper corner, click on that so that you get one step back and now you should see 3 options, the second one should be Google Voice typing, click on that( you should be conected to internet before you get here), now on new menu click on YOUR FEED and activate it, it should show blue screen with some writing, and at bootom you have two options, SIGN IN and NO THANKS.
Select no thanks and it will take you on new scrren with search engine, from there type Samsung Knox apk, it will take you to internet and from there on try to find any latest version and download and install it, set up knox, create account, from knox setings on phone set knox as main usser, than make backup from phone, now login on my.samsungknox DOT com with same login as you created and used on knox on phone, now from website aces your device, and fully reset it, VOILA, after it reboots it will take you trought setup proces like new device but now your FRP google protection is removed.
I have spent 2 days figuring out how to aces and bypas this bu.sit on my device, like its my tablet , i have forgot my mail, so what now i need to depend on google to say whats mine what not, i share my method with you guys so i hope that i can help someone, if i helped im glad, you can clik thx or like what so ewer on this site and thats all.
BYE :highfive:
PS
One small hint, you can first install some custom louncher so it will be faster to doo all this..
