Hello guys, I am very new to Android and want to get this sorted ASAP.
Having prior experience with jailbreaking on IOS, I decided I'd root my Razr I running 4.1.2, this process went very well, but I made a bad mistake and forgot to create any sort of backup for Stock JB 4.1.2 I am now deeply regretting this due to the fact on some ROMS my mobile data does not work and on PI-llama my phone seems to crash rather a lot.
Basically, could someone help me revert to Stock Motorola Razr I GB 4.1.2 software, without any sort of backup. Any help would be greatly appreciated, step by step would be very nice though. Thank you for your time
Here you go:
RAZR i XT890 Firmwares SuperThread (Jelly Bean)
You will need RSD Lite to flash the firmware.
You can also download firmware from here - But make sure it is 4.1.2, as 4.0.4 will most likely brick your device.

Just search the forum for RAMAD and then download a stock firmware for your region, also Odin. How-to-flash guide is on his thread.

Downgrading/Changing jellybean firmware on Galaxy SII
Hello All,
I have galaxy SII (made in korea ShW-M250s). I recently upgraded it to 4.1.2 jelly bean. But I encountered few problems like it does'nt support chinese language. I want to change the firmware specialized for China. but using Odin, it completes the process successfully but firmware turns out to be unchanged. Even I tried flashing the old 2.3.6 firmware again, but same result. this isn't helping at all. so I am finally hoping for you guys to help me out.
would be a great favour
if I can somehow make my phone support chinese it would be ok though.
thanks
Badar

Hi
Optimus rookie time. I have tried to understand from the faq but no one has answered this specifically that I can see. I'm in Australia, I have got an O4X from Kogan. It has arrived and has lots of Asian menu's, I have no idea if Taiwan, China or Singapore perhaps so far. It has lots of apps with 'hama' in the names if that helps. This is what is listed in about phone:
Software version: LG-P880-V10d-OCT-16-2012
Build number: IML74K
Baseband version: L6260_MODEM_SIC_02.1216.01
Kernal: 2.6.39.4
I would like to try JB, I get some people hate it, some say it is ok. If not, back to ICS or CM. Which JB firmware do I go for, the euro version or must I get the right regional version for my phone?? If so, can anyone tell what is is or is all that is important is v10d?
Thanks for any advice
Hi. I also got my 4X from Kogan, so I've been through the issues you've mentioned.
First thing I did was update to 4.1.2. I didn't spend any time with ICS, so I can't comment on differences - I WANTED JB and that was that! :cyclops: To update to 4.1.2, I used the LG update software – info about this procedure is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069723
To check which version of the LG software to use, I used this URL: http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=
You need to put your IMEI (from Settings / About phone / Phone identity) in the url after "?esn=", and it returns the URL of the software you should download to update your phone. That told me to use the Taiwan version - I don't know if others (eg Europe) are compatible with our hardware - would be interested to hear!
2nd step was to root the phone (as an Aussie, you need to ignore the obvious sexual joke in that phrase!) – I used the instructions at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2180688 with some help from the better English at http://www.lg-phones.org/how-to-root-lg-optimus-4x-hd-android-4-1-jelly-bean.html [NB – the comment below this points out some errors].
The next step was to install Titanium Backup and use it to remove all the non-English apps. I had no problems with that step, so whatever they are, they're not critical.
G'day, nice one. Will look into links later. Appreciate the reply
Thinking about this a bit more, if you only want to flash the "official" (Taiwan, in your case) updated firmware for your phone, you can use the LG Update tool "as is". The instructions in my earlier post can be used to flash other versions and a lot of people seem to be using the Euro 20A. I'm out of my depth here though, so hopefully someone else can confirm:
Can any version (ie any country) firmware be flashed onto any 4x?
Ok, all done. Running jelly bean fine. Think it better than ics, using iodak kernel. Thanks for help. If anyone comes across this thread, when flashing to jb using kdz, the 100‰ battery is essential before flashing

Which version (country) did you use?
Taiwan as lg link suggested to. Running fine, not sure why so many knock it!
I've never flashed any rom on any of my android devices. I just bought the new Xperia Z from Bell Canada and found out that it is still on 4.1
No updates from the career for more than 6 months.
So I'm thinking of doing this - please help me
use this Rom from XDA http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2336874
Use the flashtool described in this thread and do an update of 4.2 with default settings of the flashtool.
Hopefully it works just like that..if not, i'll download the bell rom (4.1) from xda and do the same with the flashtool to get back to where i'm now
Is this a good idea? i'm not sure loading the 4.2 will do something to the baseband and kernel that will stop me from reflashing it back to 4.1 if things go wrong.
any advise would be appreciated.

Hello guys, i will explain the story in order, sorry for my bad Grammar.
first i have the official GTI9070 but i forgot the baseband (GB)
then i accept software update that appear in notification bar, my baseband become I9070DXLK2 (GB)
and i see there's CM11 out that can make kit kat running in I9070.
but it requires root to install CMW / TWRP..
so hard to find root zip for DXLK2, and then i found one full ROM rooted then flash it with odin.
my baseband still I9070 (GB) but rooted (binary counter++)
after that i flash TWRP with odin too.
then i try flashing CM11 with TWRP.
it success, but no mobile network.
i search at this forum and someone say "no mobile network happen because flashing from GB (2.3.x) directly to KK (4.4.x)"
he said first update from GB to official samsung JB.
the problem, there's no official samsung JB update for my country/region (DXLK2)
my question, if i flash the official samsung JB update from other region.. let say it italy.. will my baseband change?
if it changed, what's the problem and whats the negative impact? what should i do better?
thx in advance.
PS: my device is Samsung Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070 (Indonesian)

You don't have any negative impact if you flash any stock JB firmware, only with your warranty if you still have one.
Please, follow this guide from point A (JELLYBEANIZATION): [GUIDE] From stock GB to Custom JB (Noob-friendly)
After you updgraded to JB, ask/read some tutorials linked here: [{INDEX of GUIDES/TUTORIALS}] Galaxy S Advance [GT-I9070].
Be sure when you proceed to do something OR ASK before, NOT AFTER you doing something wrong.

Or maybe removed. Try on samsung-updates.com or sammobile.com
In Canada, have XXLK2 (Africa?). Want JB, use UK version?
I bought my unlocked I9070 almost 2 years ago and am thinking about upgrading to Android 4.1.2 (JB).
On samsung-updates there appear to be lots of JB versions for different regions.
Can I just select the one for Britain (XXLQE)? Is there anything I need to check re: compatibility?

Yes you can flash any stock firmware for I9070. Be sure you don't flash firmware for I9070P.

Flashing worked...once I found a .zip file

I had a lot of trouble trying to get the samsung-updates.com download to work (used the free one, which either didn't start most of the time or died during download). Eventually, I took the filename (for Britain) and Googled it, and found a download site that let me download it (required 3 hours).
Armed with the .zip file and ODLIN, it worked like a charm. All my installed apps and data survived, which surprised me. I thought this would be a vanilla install.
