Xperia With Facebook Not Working - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone else having issues getting this app to sync/work. I don't mean the regular Facebook app, I'm referring to Xperia With Facebook which is under the accounts to sync section. I can get Xperia with Twitter to work but not Fb, the popup comes up, I click okay, and it goes away but doesn't add it. This sucks because it doesn't let me see FB photos under my albums and doesn't sync fb with my calendar either. Is there a fix for this???

Maybe the latest version give problems like Youtube, try older version or uninstall updates.

Someone at the Sony support forums posted the fix. Install FB messenger then try the Xperia with Facebook thing and it works. I tried it and all is good now.

Indeed, it worked! How stupid are these people to not test the software without the facebook apps installed? God...

Android Music Beta

Alright I know you guys are going to be more help and faster than Google contacting me so here it is.
So I got invited to the music beta for google. I have uploaded my songs and am all signed in all that jazz. But the problem is that under the music beta i dont have a "options" choice under soft menu button. I am running CM7 on a galaxy s captivate btw. I have installed, unintalled, and reinstalled couple times with restarts included. No bueno. I have even replaced the music.apk in system/app with no luck still. Users that have been successfull have said as soon as you start the app you will be asked to link with your google acc. I didnt get that option. I dont have the sync music option either under android settings. And i cant sign in manually cause it doesnt even display a options menu choice! Thanks guys!

You try to wipe its data from manage app. Reboot then restart app? Turn on auto sync for a minute?

I had that same problem. Couldn't get it to sync, and then it just started to work one day. Didn't do anything to it.

Wakelocks

I dunno what app is doing it. Though Facebook and Google services are the top two drainers.
Annoying.. Gsam doesn't help me figure out which app I need to delete.

why the hell would he do that? factory reset would be an absolute last resort.... and i have no idea why the hell you think installing apex would help him?
OP do you have google now enabled?
first thing i would do is disable data and disconnect wifi - make sure it is an app trying to fetch data that is causing the problem, if that turns out to be the case then simply stop all apps from syncing automatically and reenable a few at a time until you capture the problem one.
check out whether your GPS is being used too - google now would use your location and fetch data a lot, my money is on it.

fair enough... but you can be 99.99% sure that it is something you have installed that is causing it.

Playstore not working

Hi! all. My playstore is not working. When i launch playstore, it doesn't load anything just the dark grey background with the message "No Connection RETRY". When i click retry, the screen just flash white quickly & return to the same screen. I tried to randomly search for an app but nothing comes out. I noticed that the option "My Apps" is also missing. Any idea how to fix this?
is it rooted?

Make sure when you launch it you have fully working data connection or wifi.
If it doesn't work, settings> apps >all> Google play store and clear cache and data. And try again.

Uninstall the the play store updates? Or try finding a play store apk and go from there? If not
Then do a full wipe and repair with Sony update service. So odd that only this app is having issues.

Download it from PlayStation website, i did that, and install it by transfering APK file to your phone, than run it.
Of course, before that delete existing app.

A new play store apk was uploaded some where in one of the xda forums two weeks ago. Head over there and see if you can get that one installed. May fix the problem.

Did you disable background data for it? It might complain if that is turned off.
Are you from Belgium?
anyone can offer some help? i had to repair the firmware & install everything all over again to get it to work. Now another xperia Z is having the same issue.

How?! I'm having this very problem right now

YouTube forceclose.

So this is a somewhat frustrating issue where I cannot watch YouTube videos over any kind of mobile data, only on WiFi, otherwise it force closes when the video is loading. I have tried many different things including reinstalling my Rom. (Ecliptic.). No dice. I can't figure out if it's an app problem or a Rom problem and if there's a fix.

You are not the only one with that problem, I posted in here yesterday about the same thing and I've read on other forums that others are having that same problem and it only seems to affect Sprint HTC ONEs
