[Q] CM11 and MHL issues - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
I have a C6903, and decided to root it. Before i start I had ver. 14.2.A.1.136, and unlocked the bootloader and got the device rooted.
Then, it seemed like a good idea to install CM11 to get KitKat. Everything was great untill I want to connect it to my Pioneer Appradio, and needed the MHL-function.
After some reading and testing, I have come to that CM11 does not support MHL at the moment, so my questions is:
1. Does anybody know if CM11 is going to support MHL?
2. Is there any other KitKat roms that support MHL?
3. Is there another way to sort this out?
Thanks,

one way to do
I hava the same problem, you could try the wifi display, it works.

MHL is not likely to be supported. It is a proprietary system.

[Q] Mini Bluetooth Keyboard connection problems..help?

Hello everyone!
I am having the hardest time trying to get my Mini Bluetooth keyboard to connect to my Revo.. It pairs, but doesnt connect.
I think I have tried every single free bluetooth app on the android market and nothing has worked.
I read in a few forums that a cyanogenmod might help. But I know that the cyanogenmod 7 is still being developed.
PS: My Revo is rooted.
Any other ideas that might work?
Thanks!!

uhh... well I'm not too sure. I rooted it and then I put the clockworkmod and the decrappifier mod, and also the battery symbol mod on it. The ones from the revolution development forums here on xda.
I tried to use the keyboard before I rooted and also after and it still doesnt work.

otg works properly..mhl should too..I'm still waitin for the cable.....
Can anyone confirm 100% that it works as i know it didnt work in previous version (4.3) of ROM?
Thanks for your replies guys
HDMI
I will give it a try when I get home tonight.
No luck though I have not tried it on any rom before so may be a fault on my end do you just plug it in and the note screen comes up?
I have an mhl adaptor i got for my galaxy nexus. I wkll try it on my note and let you know of it works. Note that you must plug charger into mhl adaptor as usb on phone dooes not output enougb power for mhl.

I just tested my MHL adaptor and it works perfectly fine on Stock 2.3.6 ROM. Can;t test it on an ICS ROM at the moment, but at least I can confirm that the hardware is compatible.
The one I have is this one - http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/bizlink-mhl-adapter-microusb-to-hdmi-tv-out-black-p29839.htm
Half the price of the Genuine Samsung one but works just as well.
Okay i tried the mhl hdmi adapter on the ICS alba rom and it worked I also noticed in the ICS Stunner thread that hdmi was not working yet. So if you want this feature maybe try the Alba Rom

[Q] Downgrade for root?

Hi,
I have a problem with all xperia stock roms with the mediaserver process. It is always running while I listen to music (which is a lot of time) and drains a lot of battery (up to 65%). Though I use poweramp player which is totally independent of the process (own library and decoder). There must be some process to improve soundquality or something like it. On my Desire S on CM11 I don't have the issue this is why I want to move to a custom rom. I'm on 4.3 now (was hoping this would fix the issue) and want to root and full backup with keys for warranty purposes and then move to a custom rom.
Is it right that I have to downgrade first, since there is no root for 4.3 yet? If yes, what ROM? I have a C5303 and don't know what version I had previously. I bought it in Switzerland without SIMlock or any branding. Is there a way I can find out what my previous version was or can I basically just use any generic C5303 version?
Would you recommend 12.0.A.1.284 in order to be able to use DoomLords rootkit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...3#post42701183 ?
It's just that I don't know if I ever was on this version, also regarding warranty...
I know, many questions and I opened a new thread jst for this. I tried to find help in other threads, but didn't. I just reached a point where I don't seem to get further without asking. I tried to be as specific as possible and hope someone can clarify some of them.
Thanks in advance!
Answers to all the questions:
- Mediaserver will always run when media is being played (music/movie) this also happend on my Galaxy S+ with CyanogenMod
- Rooting can be done by downgrading back to 4.1.2 stock 254 is good... (see my how to about flashing), root is with doomlords method
- Version of 4.1.2 doenst matter you can use a Generic one if you want. Some versions have some extra bloatware

If you deactivate some apps/processes like SondFX (and possibly SoundFX) and use a player I think you can listen to music it without mediaserver.
(some more on that: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2116076)
With my desire s it actually already isn't active without deactivating anything. just by using poweramp. I can listen to music 8 hours without using more than 20% battery or so. What I get with my SP is just frustrating since I bought it for the nice battery size-processor relation...
Thank you very much for your reply!
So you could disable soundFX (Dutch Geluidsverbeteringen) and try again?? I've disabled it and altho the music is not as nice as i had it with soundfx it still plays.. I'll perform some extra tests.. This is interesting
flashing .284 wouldn't be a good option?! because then I could use DoomLords flashtool directly without having to do the workaround....
Doesnt matter if you flash 254 and follow the tutorial

The Rom ist stock based, the only problem is:
Connect to TV
TV says: Find Xperia Z1... Connection
30 Seconds later
Xperia Z1 says: Connection disconnected
I have check 20 TV´s with this Xperia Z1.. no chance.
Have anyone a idea? And can i update the ROM to EVO9? (2nd Question)
Try to update it to EVO9, and if it not work again, try to report this to coresponded thread of rom as bug.
I have the same issue on ROMAUR. did you find a fix?
