Was going to attempt this but wanted to see if the process is the same as the Note 2? Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2305243
Also what editor should I be using to edit the text of the .kl files?
Thanks!
Get xposed additions app. You'll need the xposed framework first but then you can remap any button.

If there is please forward me the appropriate links.

which ROM are you using?
I am using OmniROM 4.4.2. I hacked the build.prop to disable the hardware keys and I am using an app called softkeyZ to change the icons.

are you using Dalvik or ART?
Xposed framework does not work on ART and you will face reboots; so switch to Dalvik (if using ART) for using Xposed framework
Dalvik

Download Keyguard.apk
***For 4.4.4***
https://www.dropbox.com/s/2q20w747ttt1mjm/Keyguard.apk
***for 4.4***
https://www.dropbox.com/s/htnm3fvnlffxm33/Keyguard.apk(4.4)
Navigate to system/priv-app. Rename the current Keyguard.apk to Keyguard.apk.bak (rename the apk only, not the odex)
Copy the new Keyguard.apk to system/priv-app
Change permissions to rw-r-r
Reboot
Profit!

Going to install on my Mini now. Thanks for the great work, OP!
EDIT: Anyway you could try giving us the colors Motorola lock ring? I seem to remember it from an Xposed module for the X. Ended up conflicting with another mod and had to be removed. Thanks in advance!

Good idea. I'm sorry to say that I don't plan on doing that. If I change my mind do you have a specific color?

One of the Xposed modules has a moto lock ring with multiple colors. I'll try and track it down and post a screen.

Maybe the Keyguard.apk is different for the mini. If you send me a copy of your original I can make one for you.
Just to be sure you followed directions to a t? Including setting the permissions correctly?

If you have to use Xposed on your S5mini - you got the problem: S-Health don't work with Installed Xposed
For fix this problem you need go to \system and change in buil.prop key ro.securestorage.support=true to ro.securestorage.support=false and reboot device. thats it.
Outstanding .... Worked like a charm. Many thanks for the tip.
can someone upload the working versions please:
S Health_3.0.0.082.apk
HealthService_0.6.015.apk

Yep, the G icon appears to be related to the 1.40 ROM, and independent of the Radio ROM version.
I think digging through the register to find the key that shows the icon might be useful...

Yeah that did it! First change the build prop than clear data of health sensor and s-health, install xposed framework reboot. I did, just to be on the safe side, clear data of those 2 apps again.
Now it works!

you can possibly uploading both files?
I have them deleted without to make a backup.
Here's the extended Power Menu for Moto X Style XT1572 lph23.116-18.
This adds Reboot and Reboot to Recovery options to your Power Menu.
Not sure if it will work on the XT575 but if you try please do a backup first as it replaces framework-res.apk.
You must be on a deodexed rom for this to work.

Make a backup in case it doesn't work for you
Flash in twrp recovery
Reboot & enjoy
Install apm+ with xposed, it will give more options and choices
APM+ or even gravitybox will gove those options but I guess for those who don't want xposed this isn't too bad
Isn't too bad? The disrespect in this forum is criminal.
Thanks @not-i. This mod is much appreciated. I tried to get this working for myself awhile ago but was unsuccessful. I'll have to check out what you did and compare it to my edits.

Yeah no kidding. Of course xposed had the option. I too was using it but as I am cooking a rom you want it baked in from the first boot.
I had made the mod and noticed no one else has so thought I would share it. Now I'll think twice about sharing my rom if people on this forum are so ungrateful

Any way to make one that works on Odexed? Stop giving the OP a hard time, this is actually really useful. Good for Enterprises does a check for xposed and will fail to launch if it finds it. So I could really use this, as I can't install xposed.
