Spent a while looking for this from somewhere I can trust before finding this post, thanks!
(Also confirmed the Google signature matches the one I found from a copy of 1.1.1 from another source... if anybody was concerned.)
All I did was download from gplay (I already had them) and pulled from data/app

Perhaps I'm being a noob, but have tried installing the apk (which fails) and also tried copying to data/app and just can't get this apk to install!
Check your security settings to make sure you allow installation from unknown sources.

Thank you for posting it. Hope you can keep updating new versions for us outside the US. Thank you.
Thanks. Ordered my Chromecast from Amazon US yesterday so should be here soon
Once this is installed, will it pull updates from Google Play or will we need to hunt down a new version each time?
Edit: worked it out for myself, it will NOT auto-update...
This app is only needed for initial set up of your Chromecast. You won't need to use it at all afterwards.

I thought you did when you use it on another network? I had to when I took mine into the office to demo for a friend.
Yes my bad, you need to use the app again when changing network.

Was going to attempt this but wanted to see if the process is the same as the Note 2? Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2305243
Also what editor should I be using to edit the text of the .kl files?
Thanks!
Get xposed additions app. You'll need the xposed framework first but then you can remap any button.

Here's the extended Power Menu for Moto X Style XT1572 lph23.116-18.
This adds Reboot and Reboot to Recovery options to your Power Menu.
Not sure if it will work on the XT575 but if you try please do a backup first as it replaces framework-res.apk.
You must be on a deodexed rom for this to work.
DOWNLOAD
HERE
INSTALL
Make a backup in case it doesn't work for you
Flash in twrp recovery
Reboot & enjoy
Install apm+ with xposed, it will give more options and choices
APM+ or even gravitybox will gove those options but I guess for those who don't want xposed this isn't too bad
Isn't too bad? The disrespect in this forum is criminal.
Thanks @not-i. This mod is much appreciated. I tried to get this working for myself awhile ago but was unsuccessful. I'll have to check out what you did and compare it to my edits.

Yeah no kidding. Of course xposed had the option. I too was using it but as I am cooking a rom you want it baked in from the first boot.
I had made the mod and noticed no one else has so thought I would share it. Now I'll think twice about sharing my rom if people on this forum are so ungrateful

That's why it's not working. The OP states it will only work on a deodexed rom.
Correct. I'll upload my deodexed XT1572 rom shortly
Thanks

Anybody tried this on XT1575?

Any way to make one that works on Odexed? Stop giving the OP a hard time, this is actually really useful. Good for Enterprises does a check for xposed and will fail to launch if it finds it. So I could really use this, as I can't install xposed.

You could re-odex it via a kitchen I believe.

No joy on the XT1575.. Does not break just does not appear as an extra option via the power off menu

If I supply the framework-res for the 1575, could you mod that one for us? I can't find the android policy.jar though....?
Same, doesn't work on my xt1572 stock 6.0

Hi guys,
I got MM. And I got Xposed installed with all my Xposed apps. It was recommended that I remove Xposed Framework temporarily. If I uninstall it, will all my Xposed apps also be removed or will they stay until I reinstall the Framework again?

No.
They are all separate APK's, so they stay installed.unless you uninstall them yourself. [emoji41]
