[MOD] BRAVIA ENGINE FOR CyanogenMod

Hello Folks,
I been search a way to port Bravia engine for CM because it's one of the reason I bought Xperia Arc. I found this thread at HD2 ★⎝⏠⏝⏠⎠★[MOD]BRAVIA tweak for HD2★⎝⏠⏝⏠⎠
The methods seems like works fine for our CM Rom as well. I compared the video with Mobo player and stock player I did notice a difference. As you know BE only works on stock gallery and video player.
You can test it out and see if it works fine.

The next option we are looking for is xLOUD try this MOD it might work... [Mod] XLOUD | For X8 | 100% Work | 21/09/2011 it don't feel much difference though
Note: There is no option under settings for both Bravia and xLOUD / Do it in your own risk and make sure you make a backup of your ROM.
Edit: Apparently tin2404 has taken work from one of our developers. Thanks to zdzihu and DooMLoRD for port this feature.

Oh! I saw this in XDA News. Well the user didn't give proper credit then Well nice work D.

i tried this on my FXP44, but failed to feel the difference. Did someone actually see a difference ?

I try the manual install method but there is no bravia engine on/off option under display setting is this corect? and I didt notice any different...When I type the value in the terminal emulator it says chown: /system/etc/be_movie: read only file system is this corect?

Yes, as stated in the OP.

Bravia Engine, and other Sony features only work on Sony Locked Bootloader phones
Sony Bravia Engine seems to only work on Sony Locked Bootloader Phones, the same happens with Sony TrackID, and Xperia S Walkman "Get Music Info"

Do you mean exactly locked bootloader or just device keys must be present? You know, this is different things..

[Q] Restore Bravia Engine 2 after relocking bootloader

As the title says i would like to know if there is a way to make bravia engine work after relocking bootloader....i made the mistake to unlock the bootloader but now i relocked it and install from scratch the official firmware via Sony update service...everything fine except the bravia engine that isn't working on album photos...

you had to backup your simlock.ta before unlocking the bootloader, so that you could restore it when you are relocked to make bravia engine work again...
SEEMINGLY there is no way to bring it back unless you have YOUR .TA file, unfortunately you can't use anyone's .TA file

There is one way to back it, as some one have get it back on Xperia U, Sola, P etc.

bro I flashed this zip and wow!!!! bravia engine2 is working again!!! i want to remind you that i relocked the bootloader....if you use stock odexed rom you need also to delete credential manager.odex!!!!!! everything is now OK!!!!!

it always worked on videos...it never stopped...but now it is fully working also with album pictures

But i think it is working on ICS, but i need it on JB 4.1.2 Xpeira V LT25i

i tell you that i have 4.1.2 JB firmware, i did that and it is fully working!but you should relock your bootloader to work!..

U need to lock ur BL to make be2 work in album.
In 4.3 jb it will work for both album n movies by same process

i think no more suggestions i can give. for me im so happy that both r working. tested for almost 10 times in 4.3 stock rom

Can someone upload Mobile Bravia engine 1 flashable zip??
I've installed xreality for mobile, It's not working for videos.has anyone else noticed that xreality is not working for videos??

yeps Bro,it doesn't work for video,only for album,cannot find the be1 flashable,still waiting for a solution to make the xreality to work for vids..unfortunately.. still no answer

It does work for me. Why didn't you do a CMW backup before intalling the mod ???

If you are still on locked bootloader, there is a trick to use MBE toggles to turn on X-reality in movie

I'm currently using a custom rom with most z1 apps,only xreality not working.
I've a backup which contains be1, but I don't want to restore cause I'll lose the custom rom...

1.Deodexed stock rom

2.Relocked bootloader

Instruction:
1.Relock your bootloader
2.Flash Stock firmware
3.Relock bootloader again to be sure
4.Root and install cwm
5.Flash Deodexed Zip
6.Flash Be and music info fixes
then reboot tadan

Only in a few custom roms it will work due to framework modifications

No but im somehow pretty this mod will work fine with honami rom

in that rom, this is not bravia engine 2, it's x-reality. do you think it will work?
i want to improve my pic and video apps

First flash the rom n see if its working or not. If not then flash this mod nd it will work fine but u will get be2 n x reality in display. So that u have to remove the be2 code in build prop

I tried in dark_lord rom, but nothing happened. i just copy and set permisson, x-reality works on video but not in album

For me also it worked for only videos in my prev rom but my device has unlocked bl. If want be2 work on both pic n vid then the device MUST be locked bl. So i didnt tested it with relocked bl. Satisfied with be2 workin on unlocked bl.

I had relock my bootloader and tested this, it didn't work on album. But in video, even lock or unlock, it also works. I tried in 2 way, it give me the same result in video. x-reality also work with either lock or unlock bootloader in video. And you don't need to do this proccess to make your BE2 work on unlockbootloader.

ohhh right.. so we need to ask Jyro to xplain how he made it working for pictures......im no more experienced with this
well, its not gonna work with z1 apps. need to edit framework. my rom admin modified the framework 95% .
u should try EXR rom its pretty cooooool for me. deleted all chinese apps n now its charming

yeah, i am concerning how to make it work on pic, not video. When i bought this xv, i was a newbie, so after unlock bootloader, i regret it

That's really sad! I followed sony official unlock method nd so that im damned without knowing its consequences. Should have followed the xda method ;(
As u.hav relocked device u must find out how to make it work for both pic n vid.

Yes, before you unlock bootloader, you should back up your DRM key by using TA partition method. At that time i didn't know about it, that why i regret now
Fortunately, BE2 or X-reality is still working on unlock bootloader

Sorry i'm late i wait for 5 minutes and open if the bravia is working if not then dont lose hope close again capture some pictures then open again the album if it still not working just reboot open again the album capture some image then open again the album then wait for several minutes or reboot i do it many times this day and i regain my bravia engine 2 remember i use stock deodexed rom so that i wouldnt have any problem about framework and apps that the zip have

For the next time, you should put the period and comma to your sentences. I confused when i read you text.
So, you open and close, then open and close again. I think this is not effect the result. Somehow it was regained automatically.
I had tried in stock-based custom rom, there is X-reality instead, but pic apps was not worked with. I just copied and set permission, i didn't flash the deoxded-stock-root zip and BE zip.

Manually move these files n set permissions. Tested for the third time n working 100%.

Bravia Engine 2 for Lollipop?

Hi friends. I need a big help about BE2. I lost the bravia engine for the second time after unlocking the bootloader(the first time,I got my bravia engine back after installing 4.4.4.but for the second time,I forgot to make a backup for TA partition).so,is there anyway to get the bravia engine back in Lollipop? Is there any files that I can flash to get my BE back?BTW I am using stock 5.1.1 with Xposed.Pls give me some suggestions...

DRM Restoration is working with lollipop. Last time i've save my DRM keys was 2-3 months ago, after it i've flashed many custom roms and with package for drm restoration i can have x-reality etc without reverting back to 4.4 for keys. After rom flash you need to flash drm restoration package only.

That's the main problem. I forgot to take a backup of my drm keys.

You've tried to use DRM restoration package after Rom Flash?

yea i use this rom and the xreality engine works and i havent done a drm restoration
