Z1s usb flap came off. - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, my Z1s usb flap cover came off and I was wondering where I can buy the replacement part for it? I found these but they're for Z1. Is it compatible for Z1s?
http://www.witrigs.com/oem-usb-data...rs-replacement-parts-for-sony-xperia-z1-black

They should be the same but maybe if you ask the store where you bought it it will be better and for the same price pheraps they will replace it for you.

Mine came off too while removing it from the case it got snagged and broke off ? Fortunately I was able to pop it back in but it hangs differently now.

I don't have a case on. I guess I will look for another on ebay or something.
It's way better than having to open the flap all the time for connectivity and charging. Makes the flap less weak.

I bought one from ebay (I think it was 15$ - not adapter but whole charger) and it's best investment for my Z1 (except Nillkin tempered glass- awesome thing also)

Unfortunately I noticed last night, that I just lost the cover on my Z1s somewhere yesterday. It's under a month old too. I am hoping it might have fell off at work, didn't see it around the house. Otherwise I need to find a replacement, don't really want to send it in to be repaired and be without it for a while.

So it's confirmed by witrigs that the Z1 and Z1s covers/flaps are not interchangable. Looks as if the little divet for opening them with your nail is in the middle for the Z1s vs the Z1 which has them on the edges. However I'm wondering if the inside oval section that seals against the phone is the same length/size then it should be possible to use a dremel and make the Z1 flap fit the Z1s. Anyone? No one sells Z1s flaps yet

How long did it take you to receive it?
My flap just broke off tonight, I plan to call Sony in the morning to order a replacement.. Just trying to see how long of a wait I'm looking at. My phone looks ugly on that side now, ugh.
Lesson learned, once Sony confirms they're sending me a replacement flap I plan to order the official Sony charging doc for the Z1 (everyone I've heard talking about it says it does indeed fit the Z1s) from their site.

This is my experience, but yours may vary:
I called on Friday 2/28 in the evening. I got an order confirmation email on the following Monday 3/3. Looking at tracking info, the package wasn't shipped till 3/11, from Laredo, TX, United States, by 2 day, and I received it on 3/13. So it did take about a week and a half.
Hope the info helps.

No, I only got one email from them, about the order, the one i quoted. I got general follow up emails later, concerning my request with info, but nothing else specifically about the order. Just have to wait for it to arrive. I didn't get any update with UPS Tracking number, that would have been nice.

Thanks, here's hoping mine is a little quicker.

Unfortunately the back cover for the Nexus S is not available for purchase at this time nor is there an estimated date of when it will be in stock. Please feel free to contact us at a later time as inventory may change to include your model’s battery cover.

My Xperia T arrived with a problem :(

Hey all,
Just got an Xperia T today from Vodafone UK. Initial impressions are good, feels really nice in hand, not feeling like it will topple from my hand if I don't support it from the top. Sadly, mine arrived with a build problem along the bottom right. The top and bottom halves are not attached correctly, leaving a few mm gap and a bulge on the bottom half of the phone.

I can imagine that hard cases will not clip onto the phone without problems. Have to wait til Tuesday to get another!
Coming from a Galaxy S3 which has stopped working entirely, totally dead out of the blue, so this isn't the best return to Sony for me
I hope, you will be fine with your next T.
And I really hope, that this is not going to happen to me.
I imagine its a one off, looks it anyway.
Kinda annoying as my S3 stopped working last Saturday so its been a week without a phone as is! I can't get attached to this one as I'll lose everything on it and have to configure again when new one comes!
Initial impressions are good, much prefer stock Sony to HTC and Samsung, but would be hoping for some Paranoid Android down the line

Htc First Screen

Well my girlfriend just dropped her HTC First that she got less than a month ago on our linoleum floor and the screen completely spider-webbed. And when I say "completely" I mean the ENTIRE screen. The "gorilla glass" they supposedly put on this phone is more like fine China. It didn't even land on the actual screen....
Anyway, are there any replacement screens out for this thing yet? I know it just came out and my question will most likely fall on deaf ears but figured I would give it a go. Also a disassembly guide would be beneficial as well.
Thanks in advance

dude first of all gorilla glass only protects against scrachs not falls and not yet for the screen there ain't any around so be more careful with ur newly purchased phones
2 feet onto some soft linoleum should cause this type of damage I'm sorry. I've dropped my HTC one x onto the corner of a vice at work directly onto the screen and nothing happened. And also, the so called "insurance that we have said it would be 199$ to fix it and HTC gave me a quote of 150$ to fix it. Nice to know everyone stands behind the quality of some products.....
How about you tell my girlfriend to be more careful with her newly purchased phone? Wont really help too much at this point.

very carefully lol theres a video for the htc one xl that shows how to separate them but there is a disclaimer not to do it if you are not a pro. You can try and see if a repair store will do it for you if you bring them the parts or wait till they sell them in one piece.

Hey,
I'm happy to be a new HTC First broken screen owner now.
But since the glass is partially crumbling, wouldn't it be easier to separate it from the LCD ? Anybody has successfully repair his First ?
(For the little story, it was one of the first time I ever drop a phone in my life -_-)

S4 Active(i9295 and i537) Replacement Parts Page

Please help me keep track of replacement parts for this phone. So far I have found:
LCD + Digitizer
OEM Battery Samsung
OEM Battery from eTrade(cheaper)
2A OEM Charger
Rear Housing Sapphire
Rear Housing Grey
Back Camera Module
Flex cable with SIM holder and wireless charging pins
Flex cable with charging port and mic
How to take it apart
Do this at your own risk, remember that you have 1 year warranty, you should first try getting samsung or AT&T to replace.
Would be great if a replacement back was available. I contacted Samsung and they said one is not available and do not have an ETA when it will be.

Only one way to find out
If you can get a replacement housing and a s4 camera sensor and then mod them together... I would use some type of sealant and put it around the edge of the sensor and take a drop of water and see if it gets past the housing. Of course do this before putting your system board in the housing... Just as a test. Not sure if it is worth it to you but if we could successfully mod the S4 camera on the active and keep water proof I think most active users will do it. It appears that samsung thought about using the 13 mp sensor but changed their minds because of supply demands.
If I had some extra money I would give it a shot. But my wife would get mad for me tossing out around 30-50 bucks for just a chance of a working mod. any unmarried people out there willing to try?

man... to be honest... I completely understand your felling and frustration... even a small imperfection like this can make me crazy too. In my case I always inspect the screen looking for dead pixels (I usually install dead pixels app from the store)... and I have returned many phones because of this. (Including Note 3) In other words... like you mentioned... is your money, and if you are not 100% happy... return it... better live a week or 2 without the Note 4 than a year or more with the problem in your mind every single day...

(Including Note 3) In other words... like you mentioned... is your money, and if you are not 100% happy... return it... better live a week or 2 without the Note 4 than a year or more with the problem in your mind every single day...

So you have the same issue too? Ya if I didn't spend so much on this, I wouldn't make such a big fuzz.

I just checked mine and the earpiece doesn't have this defect. It would bother me also.

Just checked my white note 4. The speaker on mine is fine. I'd return it if I were you.
It looks like assembly problem. It appears that your speakers grill sits on top of foam gasket (this would be a reason why it springs back).

That sucks and I still don't get why online and their stores are separate. One thing I liked about AT&T is being able to return to store even if I ordered online.

Thanks guys. Glad to know it's not on all of them. I don't mind waiting a few days for a replacement. I'm on the phone with them now. But ya, I also hate that I have call if I bought online. And if I buy at a store, it has to be the same type store, meaning if I bought at a corporate store, I have to go another corporate store.
UPDATE: Ok they had to reorder me a new phone (black). It wasn't out of stock so they are going to ship it to me overnight at no charge and will get it on Wednesday. As usual, they are charging me for the new one and will refund the charges on the 1st phone when they receive it back.

Beautiful. So you get a second phone before I even get my first? Sounds good.
They need to make orders upgradeable mid shipment.

I guess I got lucky the 2nd time around.
Not quite sure how UPS works but with FedEx ground it cannot be changed either once it ships. If it was express then they can switch between next day, 2nd and 3 days.

Got my replacement today and I'm happy to report that it doesn't have the same issue. And is perfectly flushed against the glass.
