Custom Boot Animation - Moto X Q&A

I have a custom text I added in Moto maker. I want to know is there a tool available where I can change it to a different string?

Any chance of enabling app2sd in custom roms?

Exactly the subject states. Will we be able to enable app2sd that Motorola stripped from the stock rom?

Change animations

I tried to change the anumations with a ROM toolbox but it didn't work. Does anyone know if this is possible on our device?

Custom Boot Animations

So now that we can flash splash screens to our phones has anyone tried putting any custom boot animations on as well or made any? Is it as easy as just replacing the boot animation zip like older devices?

[BootLogo & BootAnimation] Motorola Google Edition

Based on the bootanimation.zip from the HTC One Google Edition system dump, resized down to 720p and changed the Google for Motorola. Boot Logo and Boot Animation can be flashed from CWM, please mount /system first. Enjoy!

Nope that's not it. The bootlogo is just Motorola in italic like the letters about the screen but below the front cam. The boot animation is like the Google Play Edition HTC One/S4, except it shows Motorola instead of Google and it goes into the four colors

Hi, I would like to know if you are having problems with this boot animation or the moto x one. If you get freeze with this one please attach a logcat in order to check for any problems. Thanks.

Awesome animation, looks like they put a little effort into it....

[RESOLVED] Build.prop

So I was messing with my build.prop file and I didn't make a backup because I thought I knew what I was doing (I know I should have made one) is there a spot where I can get the factory one?

You could most likely extract it from the sbf file. I'm not completely stock or I'd upload mine for you.

I am assuming that is in the firmware so I downloaded it and extracted it but I couldn't find it
