Just reboot to download mode and use ODIN to flash a stock rom and then start over.
When I flashed Null i didn't wipe, i thought about it, but apparently it isn't needed on these guys. Least the flashing directions never say to wipe, when if you are flashing a phone, the OP would always say wipe... I'm sure there is a reason we don't wipe, and you just found it.
Download mode takes me right back to the Samsung screen. Plus having a hard time finding the stock rom for us.

I think you are just not holding the button correct to get download mode.

I essentially should be able to do this with null also but for some reason Odin gives me a failed message when I do. I am working on trying to download that file. It finally booted into download. Thank you.

lol yup. Got the grey one, they tried telling me this color wasn't on sale, but gave it to me anyways!
I like it so far, I tried null rom and yeah while it is cool, i don't see it that much more beneficial than stock.. you can still sideload apps on stock..
I just was playing bejeweled and temple run on there. You can send texts with s voice. There are somethings that I wish you could do, but that requires the internet... I'll just use my phone for that stuff, I can't see the battery being too great!
So I tried it after getting into download mode and downloading the stock rom but no dice. I still get a failed message in Odin. Any other advice?

Exact words in log are as follow:
Odin v3 engine (id:4)..
File analysis.
all threads complete. (succeed 0/ failed 1)
I think the problem is when i wiped the gear it turned off the usb debugging and now there is no way to turn it back on. Any advice?
USB debugging won't matter in download mode... that is more for ADB when it is running normally...
I'm not sure what to tell ya, hope someone else chimes in.
Try restoring to stock with kies firmware upgrade. Then reinstall null.
Or just open up into recovery (twrp)
Wipe everything
adb push null rom over and flash it and then you should be ok...
commands would be:
adb push exactnameofnullrom.zip /sdcard
it will take a minute or two to push the rom over, once it completes just flash it.

Alright guys i have searched and tried and tried. Currently i am on dj11 with kernal version stated as 2.6.32.9 and right below it has [email protected]#3. I am on 2.2
So what ive tried:
-I used heimdall to flash back to stock but as you can see the kernal version says im still rooted although superuser app is not installed. This causes the update to fail
-I tried to use superoneclick method to unroot but it does not work
What i want is to be stock with no root and be able to update. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
FYI i also used all the thread procedures on the forum (gizmo ninja and how to unbrick tab)
Try using this stock unrooted rom. Link below:

Don't know what the problem could be. That has always worked for me. If you go to the "System-- About Device-- System Updates" does it give you the option to update? When I have restocked mine and set up a wireless connection it always tries to download and install the update.

I don't know what to do. If it were me I would go ahead and grab the EC02 update from here: http://www.blackmugmedia.com/Android/GT/Mirror/Roms/CDMA/Recovery to Stock /
Flash that. You will have the latest official release, or you could get the VZW Leaked Gingerbread release from the Developers section. (That is what I am running on my VZW tab).
Maybe if you flashed the EC02 update and then used the going back to stock instructions it would unroot you. I have always unrooted using that rom and directions when I wanted to start fresh from a custom rom that didn't quite work like I wanted it to work.

I will give that a shot. The current gb leak is rooted. I did post asking to see if they (oldmacnut) had the unrooted version. Personally I like the rooted option but I do want to sell the tab and can't sell it rooted unless the person doesn't care. Bedside this issue the tab is fine and working properly.
Thank you so much for all your help. I will keeep you posted on the outcome.

There is a unrooted version of Gingerbread that you can flash with Odin:
http://www.mydroidworld.com/forums/...w-sprint-2-3-4-ef01-rooted-updated8-15-a.html
I haven't used Odin, but if you are familiar with it you might have luck with this. I think you use 7zip to extract and then use the resulting md5 file in the One Package location. You might want to look there and get that file.

I just tried this.
Unzip the .md5 file with 7zip, you will get an error about no proper ending or something. Take your zimage, cache, param, dbdata, factoryfs, recovery.bin and place them in the proper locations in Heimdall. Flash your tab and let it boot up.
You should have a fully functional gingerbread without root.
I just did it on my tab.

Okay so first I downloaded the OPS, Gingerbread firmware and ODIN. Then I installed Kies for drivers, and then I opened ODIN, inserted the OPS and Gingerbread firmware file, started the process.
Somehow when it came to the reboot part, the phone just kept rebooting (screen lights up, turns off, pause, repeats again) and it hasn't worked since.
Then now there's an error with setup connection which presumably has something to do with the drivers, so I reinstalled it but now setup connection keeps occurring...
Okay, now, I tried doing the whole process again... I'm stuck at 'Close serial port and wait until rebooting' as the phone constantly flickers on and off repeatedly with no sign of anything going on.
Somebody please help :/

Yup, 4.31, TASS v1.0 as OPS. S5570DXKPD_S5570OLBKPD for the firmware.
Problem now is I think the flashing works.. but somehow, the phone is somehow corrupt in a way that boot is not possible - nothing's possible except download mode.
I haven't played around with Samsungs, mostly HTCs so this is uncharted territory for me.

Yup, firmware from Sammobile.com. Problem is while installing GB. Will trying to install CWM first at least alleviate some of the problem?
In fact... I can't even boot into the original recovery. All that happens is the phone boots... and goes into an insane loop. Can't do anything else other than that.

Is it normal for the phone to flicker on and off during the flash process, and after the flash process is complete, with ODIN showing PASS?
Okay, so installing a multi package firmware didn't work either. Now what. )': at wit's end here.
It won't flicker.
And when it's done it'll show pass.

Okay, I tried to root it using a pre-rooted rom, N7000DXLC2 and some md5 and tar file that came along with it, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly, my actual baseband is LR1 and the kernel is LR2.
At first, after attempting to root it, I kinda of did it successfully, I reached the green android alien place, but there's alot of pop up saying that this progress ended (something like that, couldn't remember.)
So I decided, to find and download my actual baseband's stock rom and try to use Odin to flash it, it succeeded, but the problem is, my screen is staying black this time, But I know that my phone is still working, just that the screen is not displaying anything..
Are you able to get into download mode?
When you tried to flash the rooted ROM in ODIN was it a 3 part file or a single file?
Did you setup ODIN correctly as per instructions on this site?

Read it carefully and do it at your own risk if you decide to flash it.
I don't think it'll work.. I'm already back on my actual baseband, its just the problem with the screen, its black and it won't display anything. My phone is still working.

Are you on a complete STOCK setup? or custom kernel?
This is very odd - sounds like possible hardware fault if your phone is working but no screen - You definitely flashed the correct ROM yeah? I would still give a try to reflashing the STOCK GB via PC Odin..
Question - When you goto Download Mode - Do you see the Android Guy? If so there's something wrong with your flashed ROM and not a screen fault so a re-flash should resolve that..
+1, Definitely not a screen problem if you are able to go in download mode & see the green guy.
Just try to reflash via PC odin a GB ROM.

@OP, I think what messed up your phone is you inadvertently flash either a wrong kernel..(a kernel meant for GB but your already on ICS or the other way around as well)

After that, my phone just stays black.. but I could actually go to download mode... so what I did? Flashed it back to GB stock and work my way from there...
Hope that helps something bud

You will get the KNOX bootloader if you flash this.
YOU CANNOT UNDO THIS, ITS PERMANENT. FLASHING ANYTHING UNOFFICIAL AFTER FLASHING THIS TAR WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY
Just the NG2 FULL stock tar.
Do NOT rename the tar file. Even though it may be convenient to do so, Odin may fail the md5 check for no reason.
(L720VPUFNG2_L720SPTFNG2_L720VPUFNG2_HOME.tar.md5)
This is NOT ROOTED. Its the original TAR file for people who need an Emergency Recovery for their phones, and dont want to wait hours for it to download from slow file hosts.
Mediafire
Instructions:
1. Download and Extract tar above and download Odin
2. Put phone into download mode (power off, then power button + Volume Down, then volume up when prompted)
3. Open Odin (right click > open as administrator)
4. Load stock tar into the PDA slot
5. Start flashing
6. Grab some popcorn because it will take a while
7. Profit

Thanks for putting this on a speedy host. I just downloaded it tonight in under half an hour at my daughter's house, and she doesn't have a particularly fast internet connection.
A quick question - does this file leave your programs intact? Sometimes I like a total wipe (except for my SD card), and start fresh.
Thanks again

Try flashing the ng2 kernel after the install. Thru custom recovery.

That's odd.
I have installed this NG2 tar file with Odin on 2 different phones and WiFi works perfect on both..

Thanks for the reply. I did try one more time and this time I went back in recovery and did the two wipes, went back in to download, opened odin3 3.09 via administrator and removed the auto reboot check. after it finished i manually rebooted and wifi worked.

Now I have another problem. I am no longer with sprint and my phone is unlocked from sprint. I have been using the GOLDENEYE rom on Walmart Family Mobile and all was warning well except for sometimes not connecting calls so I thought i go back to stock with this rom. Problem now is I can make calls with the Walmart sim card, put in the APN settings but i am unable to remove the Hands Free Activation nagging.. Is there anyway to make it go away?

Have you tried to pull down the notification bar with two fingers > long press on Hands Free icon to see if something is turned on to make it show up on notification bar? If turned on, shut it off. Hopefully it is that simple. If not that simple, I have no clue how to make it stop. Maybe someone else does.
I haven't heard of anyone having that problem.
Yeah, I tried everything, it's part of the rom I think, nothing worked to make it go away..
I just went back to goldeneye rom, all working perfect again. Thanks.
I just flashed this rom through odin and it didn't wipe any of my programs, isn't is supposed to?

Nope. it doesn't wipe data unless stated by the OP that it does. It only restores any apps deleted, or reverses any mods made. Example if you are running Aosp and Odin back to stock. You will get bootloop. After Odin always go to stock recovery and do a factory reset to have a clean install.

Wifi didn't work for me on this rom, coming from a custom mf9 rom. So I odin mf9 bootloader package, and then flashed stock mf9 odexed rooted rom, then odin the mf9 kernel. And did NG2 upgrade through Kies. Now Wi-Fi finally works for me but it's impossible to root. But at least now I got everything working, when I get off of work I can flash the OP version of NG2 cuz at least I could root that 1.
Okay guys, I just got a brand new tmobile note 4. Tried rooting it but something went wrong...
Didnt make a backup either so hopefully you guys can help me.
I installed twrp successfully...but after installing supersu...kept getting the boot loop.
Decided to give up rooting and go back to stock.
Downloaded the latest 5.0.1 stock firmware for my phone but after running it through odin, it keeps failing.
I don't know what to do.
I didn't hard brick it since i can still boot into download mode and twrp recovery. But i already wiped system so i don't have any OS on it now.
Should i just chance it and try and send it back to tmobile for a replacement?
Any feedback would be much appreciated!

I just realized that i've been downloading the wrong firmware for my phone. i have the same model number as you. i just did a search and found a firmware for our phone model but it takes 3 hours to download. I will update in the morning when it's done downloading.
Since i can't post outside links yet, just google "SM-N910T3" and look for the firmware in the results, that's how i found it.
I have downloaded a firmware that I want to use it for my galaxy s5 with unknown baseband, and I will try it I hope it will work
