Downloading... looking forward to trying this.
Got it installed. Couldn't get data or wifi to work. Kept getting FCs on some background apps.
Not functional enough for me. Looking forward to some updates to come. Wish I had more time to do some work on this myself.

Getting closer. At least it boots as far as boot animation. All I need is a twrp nandroid of booting system, and I could of had this, as my Chinese friends say, last year.

Not for Sprint Galaxy S4!!!!
Do not install this on a Sprint Galaxy S4!!!
I made a mistake by trying to do a mod to make my Sprint S4 able to write to the SD card, and ended up having to re-flash Kit-Kat. This installed Kit-Kat NAE, but not English, and certainly not for Sprint variant. This if for international I9505 (or something like that).
Look in the Android Development forum for a the stock rooted Sprint Galaxy S4 NAE 4.4.2 Kit-Kat. I just installed that one with success.

Because I flashed this. It installed, and it wasn't in English in initial setup. Was in German, or Dutch, or some other European language. I was able to choose English setup though. Got it going, made my way to Settings, About Phone, and said model I9505. Modem didn't work, so no wifi or phone signal. Plus no Sprint boot logo, and the Samsung boot logo had a little music jingle with it, Sprint does not.
working data and WiFi
Tried installing this ROM with no success to any type of data. Looked into unknownforces stock rooted ROM from the android development forum.
1. Clean to install new ROM using Philz 6.0.8.9(what I used) said any can be used
2. Even of you have already flashed new modern do it again now
A. Power completely off
B. Go into download mode
C. Odin new NAE modem(auto reboot and freset unchecked)
D. After Pass reboot into recovery
3. Clean wipe for new install
4. Install unknown forces ROM
5. Reboot and enjoy data working and WiFi working
PS. I did install the ROM wrong before and got unknown baseband. Did these steps and nae is there

It appears that the package is broken. For the time being I have no way of remaking it. I hopefully soon will be able to make it again.
The other day I managed to get my hands on a UK ATRIX that was still running the official 2.3.4 rom (T-Mobile I think) so I stuck ROM Factory on it and made a fruitcake of it for your enjoyment.
As always with custom ROMs I am not responsible for anything you do to your device, you don't have to flash this if you don't want to!.
Also this is the first time I have used Rom Factory to do anything and I am completely unable to test it as the phone I made it from has an locked bootloader (does this matter?) so again flash with caution.

Yup. It is exactly that. It has no unique features other than the fact that it is the stock UK ROM that went missing at the same time as all of the file sharing websites in the form of a fruitcake.
Has anyone tried it to see if it works? I still have to phone (locked bootloader & It's not mine) I made it from (though not for much longer) and can have another go!
Thanks, I'll try it when I get back home.

Tried this yesterday. Had CM7 latest nightly running. Did a full wipe and clean install. But unfortunately, it kept booting into CM7 (not the one I had before flashing). I anyways tried logging into my Google account and the setup wizard force closed every time I tried. Had to revert to my previous setup
Not sure if I did anything wrong, I know the usual drill of installing custom ROMs.
Did anyone else give a try?

Very odd issue... Is it because the device I made it from has a locked bootloader? You say that the rom didn't flash (or did but not properly) what did the install script in CWM say?
Sorry I don't have the device any longer so I won't be able to do anything with re making the fruitcake :crying: as I have had to give it back.
PS I have sent you a PM with the original rom link in it, may be that the one on the mirror is corrupted.

The script said that the flash was successful. Also it said that I should not forget to wipe cache and data, which I did anyways. No errors in the install script.
Not sure if the zip had the original ROM, coz it was booting into CM7, which is obviously not what you are trying to do. I did a full wipe, 3 times, so I guess there is no possibility for it to boot into my previous installation of CM7 nightly.
I saw your PM. Thanks. I will try today if I get some time off work and let you know.

Hello. thanks for sharing the stock rooted rom for 4.2.2

One question, with this little modified rom, will i have OTA updates?
Thanks!
Will this be able to downgrade my baseband from MFP to MFD?
You can downgrade your baseband by going to our Discussion Guide thread I have it listed in the guide and links section

As I promised, here's a baseband package for 4.2.2:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/dtgrcyv9ux8g4u8/modem_422.tar.md5
In theory you can downgrade to 4.2.2 and then flash this to get the proper baseband. After that you should be able to take the 4.3 OTA.

You need to make sure your boot stack and radios are appropriate for the rom you want to flash. The G2 ROM scene is a bit fractured, since CM11 and a good chunk of derivative ROMs are still based on the 12B (4.2) OTA, but some devs are now working with the 24A (4.4) OTA.
If you can get into the bootloader/fastboot, you may be able to flash the appropriate boot stack and recovery from there, if you know what you're doing. The "cleaner" route would be to use TOT or KDZ to get back to stock, and start from scratch.

If you can't get into recovery, and only download mode, I'd probably go ahead and return to complete stock. The nice thing about this phone is it is easily rooted and rommed again if you want to do that. Plus you'll learn a lot in the process. My two cents.
Edit: When you return to stock, take the Ota to 4.4.2, then root.

Hello!
I've successfully rooted my phone, and have signed on with T-Mobile. However, while calling and SMS works fine, MMS and data don't work at all! I've googled around and the consensus seems to be that the Verizon software is the issue.
So, I've downloaded CloudyStock, but am totally ignorant as to how I should proceed. I've looked through the forums over there, but can't find a step by step. Could anyone help me out? I've downloaded FreeGee and QuickBoot if that helps.

Yes, look for the thread containing the AutoRec app recovery installation. It will put twrp 2.7.0.0 on. DO NOT UP-GRADE recovery until 2.7.1.1 is out. Twrp 2.7.1.0 has some really nasty bugs. Thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715496 the easiest way without a computer.

Thank you! I'll download that and see if I can make sense of that other article. It's fairly tech-heavy, I'm a little about it.
Flashing a ROM is easy via recovery. I personally flash any new ROM with an otg usb drive. Once recovery is installed, hit install button then directory/path/to/your/ROM.zip then swipe to flash. Its actually easy, and assuming all your software is correct, should boot right in.

No way is it bricked. For that, you would need cloudys support/thread. I've seen a thread pertaining to that but can't recall the specifics. Your not a bother, but I typically try to stay away from ROMs that have multiple issues mainly because my time is limited for trouble shooting. I found xdabbebs modified stock ROM ideal for a daily driver with Dori's kernel and g2 tweaks the most stable and dependable. I have yet to try cloudys mainly because of the issues of other users. I think your main issue here is having Verizon software on a T-mobel network. Your will probably have to flash t-mob KDZ files in order to correct your problems. I would think a mobile carrier would do this for you when you signed on idk. in the cloudystock OP post, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50630975 his link to basebands your are going from a vs980 to a d802 yes? I flashed the VS980 version on, which I assumed was the correct one...should I try the D802 instead? That might be where I went wrong.
Baseband is 24A-M8974A-AAAANAZM-2.0.20046.
I know this is asking a lot, but if anyone is interested/feels like donating their time, I'd be extremely happy to host a Skype call to figure it out: Skype name is grandpa_faust
I think reading between 2 different forums is getting me messed up. What I had heard was that CloudyStock is "THE BEST" ROM for it, I just want simple functionality from my phone on T-Mobile (with wifi calling and wireless charging, hopefully!) Thank you for being supportive so far, it's a lot to take in!

Hi there grandpa_faust. I was in a similar situation as you in terms of wanting to use your Verizon LG G2 with T-Mobile service. I purchased a Verizon LG G2 yesterday. I rooted and installed recovery but kept it stock. I had planned to use the phone with T-Mobile service. After I entered the correct APN settings the phone would not even connect at H+ speeds. I think it was closer to 2G speed, but I knew that it should connect at a higher speed since my Nexus 5 reached LTE speeds with the same SIM card. I installed CloudyStock 2.2 choosing the Verizon variant in the Aroma installer. With the network mode in Global and with the correct APN settings the phone seems to be connected at LTE speeds. I tested the phone while I was out and about today and the areas where I had LTE with my Nexus 5 were connecting at the same speeds with the LG G2.
Your current baseband is the same one that I have right now. I'm not sure where you are at this point. If you are rooted and have recovery then you are almost there if your goal is to install a custom ROM.
I'm sure there are others on this awesome forum who will chime in as well in case your problems are more involved.
Regards.

Ok, Emmitt! SO, data settings had defaulted to MetroPCS, now that I changed it to TMobile IPv6 the data works fine! However, the error message from before (android.process.acore, contacts) are still there and I can't use the phone or contacts. Should I just switch to a different ROM? Skype is still open for any takers
The solution:
Settings –> Applications –> Manage Applications –> All (button on the top that lets you see all applications) –> scroll down to “Contacts Storage” –> Click on “Clear Data” Then restart

That worked fine, but the same fix did NOT work for the messaging. I've got 2 out of 3! Thank you all for your knowledge, I hope we can get this last bit in.

did you do a full wipe in recovery prior to flashing the zip? Most installer scripts do this but if it's not done (otherwise known as a dirty flash) might be fragmented software causing conflicts.

I thought I had, I can re-wipe and reinstall if that helps! I definitely did prior to installing the recovery app.

Just try wiping dalvik and cache in advanced wipe of twrp. Should fix, if not do a factory reset via twrp this will erase all apps and data

Factory reset did it! Sometimes I still get a message "SIM detected, switching to global mode" or the network goes out entirely for 2-3min, but overall the phone, data and sms work just fine!
I'm going to try and figure out wifi calling, then I'll be golden. Thank you all so so much for your comments and support, I wish I could throw gold at you! Cheers.

The new problem is, I flashed a D801 kernel by accident and now it's in bootloop. I can sometimes get it to recognise the drivers and I can consistently get into download mode, but neither KDZ or TOT pushing has worked. :/

Can you get into recovery? Power vol- button combo? If so just flash correct kernel version n good to go. It will tell you factory hard reset but it won't. That's part of the Loki patch work around. Power 3 times then recovery menu will pop up.
Bought this note 4 off craigslist. Girl said she bought it from rent center.
I factory restores it and it doesn't have any logo boot. No tmobile stuff loaded. I checked to see if it's rooted but no....about settings says it's tmobile version model. I'm still on 4.4 using the phone on att. Does it have to be tied to tmobile to get update 5.0?

these steps are for owners that have Note 4 sold by tmobile. Understand it will work with my note 4 sold by rent a center BUT i don't want the tmobile boot up annimation or the tmobile apps. Right now it just boot up samsung only, then there are also no tmobile apps. I want to keep it that way with having 5.0
note: i rooted in the pass but im not up to date with most of this stuff like >>>>>>STOCK ODIN N910TUVU1COD6 -> CF-ROOT -> TWRP RECOVERY -> FIX -> Done!
^^^ i didnt understand that.
my note 4 about settings are:
4.4.4
baseband:N910TUVU1ANIH
KERNEL: 3.10.0-279035

If you follow those steps you will have the stock Tmobile software rooted and custom recovery installed. From there you can flash whatever you want there are tons of good ROMs to check out that have full features.

Why not flash a stock debloated rom?
Like this one.

Or flash kk or lp and then debloat using titanium.

question..... i just updated using Kies. it installed android 5.0.1. when it boot up it has the Tmobile logo and tmobile apps....... so from here do i need to just oneClick root the device, then remove the tmobile bootup Zip file somewhere?
also how to get rid of the tmobile apps?
You root this way.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2903733
You use titanium backup once rooted to get rid of the tmobile bloatware.
You can see me freezing Google bloatware in this pic
People sure have replaced the tmobile boot up thing.
I'll look for you, but try searching with key words like boot animation.
Easiest way is to flash a custom rom, where the dev has already done it for you.

Or like everyone else said quite a few times, just flash a custom rom. Easier than doing what you're thinking of. If you don't know how to freeze apps and change splash screens already, then there's a chance you could screw something up (freeze or uninstall something you weren't supposed to) and have to start all over.

Your probably not going to find the rent a center rom they flash it to the phone themselves or tmobile does for them or samsung but tgey dont release it via sammobile like all tge carrier roms.. I backed up my rom from rentacenter in case i ever needed it. But i wanted their software off my phone asap. Im sure tge put their shut off mechanism in their software and who knows what else. You can load tmobile lollipop and after rooted can get rid of all the tmobike stuff or you can flash something custom already debloated. Otherwise if you want the rent a center rom tgen you need to keep it from the beginning and root that software. As far as i kno rentacenter is not putting lollipop on any note 4
OK that's what I needed to know. So since there isn't a rac rom I will just use titanium to delete the tmobile apps, if it isn't a simple process I'll just find a stock tmobile rom that removed the apps......thing is I don't like going in and messing with basebands, kernel and other stuff that could make your phone not connect to certain towers. That's why I prefer stock rom

Just flash the one they posted in the link and walk away. You will have no issues whatsoever. It's debloated and completely stock rooted!!!
