[Q] Best ROM for 4.4.2 - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
After updating my HTC to 4.4.2 i've noticed that the battery life is worse than it was on 4.3! Do you guys know which rom is good for battery life?!

Whats the best threads are not aloud here
but since you ask, I've always had outstanding battery life with InsertCoin and ARHD. keep in mind it takes about 3 days for the rom to settle in and the true battery life to shine

Thread closed. Had you searched you would know why.

I think insertcoin has the best battery life. Ive tried 42one DKone and DkOne Zed Bad Boyz and others and the latest ViperOne. i just woke up and disconnected the phone from charging and its full ofc. After 2 to 3 mins reading sms i lost 3% already. Just bought the phone
3 days ago. Reverted back to insertcoin although the gsm signal always stay 4 out of 6 bars all the time

Renovate sleeps at a little less than 1% per hour, and is hands down the best sprint rom out there.

I have tried most, but Rennovate has the best battery life thus far. May try Revolution this weekend.
Ive been on elegancia for a while and the battery will definitely get me through a day as well as insert coin. I might look into renovate since these comments all seem to be in favor.
I've tried nearly all the ROMs in the first few pages and have found the d3rp ones to have the best battery life for me. I really like the features of InsertCoin, but it drained my battery pretty quickly.

No "what's the best ROM ____" threads please.
We close 'em all, just have to flash 'em all and find out.
Also, please ask all questions in the Q&A forum.

How is the battery life on the custom roms

Hey everyone, I know "best rom" threads aren't allowed but that isn't what I'm trying to ask. I don't care which is better overall. I just want to know how their battery life stacks up (not against each other but how they are in general). I am currently running CM11 and I really miss Sense for some reason. So I am thinking of switching back but I want to make sure my battery life doesn't suffer because of it. So are the Sense custom roms for the HTC One (m7 GSM) good with battery life? I tried ViperOne once and it barely lasted 12 hours. Thanks in advance.

as you said comparison are not allowed, you could check that thread here
I dont want ro ever say one rom ia better than another. As a programmer I have a great reapect for the people and teams that put these out.
Thus said; in my last 5 or so years of owning one android device or another I've always found better resposiveness and battery life using a custom rom over the stock softwares.

Guessing this should be in the Q&A section, so someone should close this out when they have a moment.
I haven't found a ROM yet I couldn't get through the day with. I run XDABBEB which does well and PA Beta's were good too. 5.0 Alpha's are too glitchy right now for me to try for long enough to assess.
Welcome to the forum, for future reference as stated in the sticky at the top of this section...

Battery life has been decent with Plain-Andy, don't know how much screen on time I can get though, most of my battery goes to streaming music all day to my bluetooth headphones. I make it through a work day and the evening without issue, if I lay off the music it's obviously even better.
I've tried a lot of Roms and Cloudy G3 2.1 has been tops for me.

Hmm,Cloudy has got a nice battery life, but i dont really like the design....
stock rom itself is really good. You should be able to get at least 5 hours screen on time with your usage.

Firmware-ROM recommendations?

Hi all you guys,
I'm really happy with my new blue HTC one m7. I just bought it from best buy locked for AT&T and I myself converted it to deved and sim-unlock it.... pretty cool all that...
Now I'm in a little trouble... battery life suck so much that I'm starting to think that I did something wrong... do you guys had some similar experience when converting an AT&T one?. Could it be that there are other better roms for battery life performance?
thanks for all your help guys,

I have a converted dev ed an not experiencing battery issue.
There is a battery stat thread in the general sub-forum, maybe you could compare your results and see if its normal or not. Its hard to tell if your battery life is affected by some app/kernel draining it or if its really a faulty one. Check what apps are draining the battery.

what happened to the SOT / battery tips thread!?

This was an incredibly useful resource, with loads of tips on improving battery life but it's gone Anyone got any ideas where?
I'm not very happy with my battery life at the moment, and i'm considering rooting to save battery through some of the root options. Do you think it's worth rooting now, I see there are a few new kernels available, or should I wait for a custom rom to become available.
I've not had a phone before where custom roms aren't available but I see nothing yet for Mi9.
Grateful for your advice.
Cheers

Unfortunately the xda member who created that thread has since left, presumably taking it with them!
I would like to see a guide for a better SOT
I've only just rooted to get L Speed working but it's been on my last three devices with the Battery profile. Between that, Greenify and a quick screen timeout you should be looking at well over a day between charges. Invariably, the screen is always the biggest culprit, also consider auto brightness turned off with a low constant brightness too..
I'll start measuring my SOT now I'm on a stable rooted ROM..
