I've just flashed completely back to stock and downloaded the I9000BOJV9 firmware from sam mobile. But now I was wondering if there is an available root for this firmware?
Thanks in advance.

Don't need CWM.
Search and download Odin 1.85, open it. Load .tar.md5 file in PDA box. Put your SGS in download mode and connect it. Wait for yellow COM box. Press Start.
flashed the firmware and now it says mobile network not available what did i do wrong????

If you have some problem with JV8 (Claro Puerto Rico branded) use JV6 (International version). Try with full reset >> *2767*3855#
Check that you have a i9000T
That did it Your the best!!!!!!!!!!!

Will either of these allow one to unlock their phone? I have a I9000T from Guatemala that I want to use with Movistar here in Nicaragua.
UPDATE: These do not unlock unlock the phone. To do that one needs to get Root, the Galaxy S Unlock app, and the 3 button fix to replace Claro's funky bootloaders.
Hi all guys! I'm new to this phone
I have i8190L (Latin) variant of the s3 mini, Android 4.1.1, the CHE csc code (Chilean Entel network provider firmware), and I want to install the latest 4.1.2 firmware for my country generic firmware (CHO csc code).
But for being sure, it's recommended to do an efs folder backup, and I have to be rooted for doing that. But the only way to get root is to flash another pre-rooted firmware, and that process can screw up my efs folder anyway.
What can I do? I don't want to f*** up my phone
Thx in advance, and sorry for my English

EDIT: Already rooted with a method which is not necessary to flash some pre-rooted firmware.
Hey guys,
Looking for a bit of help with unrooting my S4 Active and pretty much reverting it back to out of the box if it is possible.
I got my Active rooted about a year ago. I did it without much knowledge on how rooting and install custom firmware works, but amazingly I somehow got it done. But now I've have got to the point where I no longer need it rooted or running custom firmware and would like to return it to an out of the box state like when I first bought it.
Here is a bit of information about my device:
Model: GT-I9295
Version: 4.2.2
BB: XXAMF7
I'm not really sure on how I rooted it in the first place as it has been a while, but I do remember using ODIN and possible CWM, if that makes any difference. I'm looking to revert it back to 4.2.2 official so I can use the OTA update feature to keep my phone up to date and so on.
If anyone is able to help me, or point me in the direction of a good tutorial on unrooting and installing official firmware that would be great.
Thanks

Hi
One of the safiest way to unroot you device is to back up your phone then flash a stock firmware 4.2.2 or 4.4.2 available on sammobile.com and flash it with odin. You will automatically go back to stock firmware and it will be same as it was out of the box.

Thank you for the help.
I managed to find a stock 4.2.2 firmware on sammobile.com for my phone and country, but it seems like samsung haven't pushed out a 4.4.2 version for Australia yet.
There is a 4.4.2 version for New Zealand though, which is basically just next door to Australia. So I found that quite odd.
Do you know if there is anyway to flash an official 4.4.2 firmware to an Australian device?
Thanks again.

The country on the firmware doesn't mind because even you choose let say netherland versions it will work find as example for me I flashed singapire version on my s4 active while I'm in Mauritius and it work fine... you may choose any of it to install

It doesn't matter which country firmware do you get. The country is there only for OTA updates. So if you flash a Netherlands stock ROM then you will get the next OTA update when Netherlands gets it. Otherwise other country.
Just flash the stock ROM with odin on your phone and it will be unrooted, removed the custom recovery and all back to stock.
Good day to you.
download the stock firmware from sammobile for your variant
use odin 3.13 or higher to flash the ROM.
extract the firmware from sammobile
take the AP and CSC files from the stock firmware and put them in ODIN
put phone in download mode and press START to make it flash
phone will reboot and be stock (lock bootloader or flash custom up param to hide bootloader unlocked message)
