[Q] Malware infestation - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

For the last couple days every time I unlock my phone I am greeted with "Obamacare has begun - Get quotes".
How do I find out which program is doing that and how do I get rid of it.
Stock ROM (not rooted).
Default Samsung Launcher.
Lookout found nothing.

maybe try lookout not sure????

Sounds like aware. There are as in the play store that will find what app is causing it.

Which program will tell me which app is doing that?
I want to make sure I can get rid of it and leave a scathing 0 star review and report it to google.

Look up Airpush Finder.

Airpush Detector found 6 apps. 2 with Applovin' (Raging Thunder 2...) and 4 with Airpush (Police Scanner and others).
I hope that once I uninstall all those rogue programs I won't have this problem any more.
Thank you very much.

I suggest rooting and installing FDroid. Google will help you there. After that, look for an app in FDroid called Adaway.

Here is the link for adaway. You could also try malwarebytes

I didn't link to an external source as I trust FDroid...

Just to give my opinion : if you know what you do and are sure about what you install, no need.
But in other cases it can be useful : I installed Avast! on my mom's phone (Galaxy Ace) and it doesn't slow her phone nor sucks more battery life. Like that I'm sure she's not going to make any mistake and also it offers the possibility to install an anti-theft part.
So you and only you know in which case you are.

"Okay Google" Moto X-Style

Would love to be able to do this with the HTC One.
Found this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2398146)
...but it appears to have disappeared, and no APK yet.
Anybody have a lead on how we might go about this or if it's even feasible? (or if it's already been done and my search skills have failed me?)
Probably would be cool

The Dev has a G+ feed for it, he doesn't know why Google removed it from the market yet. But its pretty easy to install amazon app store and install it.

When I load an app from playstore it takes to me what seems like a long time for small files even when connected to wifi. Cleared data thinking it would help but didnt. Turned on my OG Note and apps loaded from playstore very quick.

Just switched to beast mode a couple days ago..and now I'm rooted and strapping. The question is, Can I restore all my apps with Tibu after I flash a rom? I ask because of the whole new room slot deal. O and is there a volume skip track option yet..like via a module? Thanks for any replies

I think Wanam Xposed has options for using the volume buttons for track skipping. Root is required for it.

It Works. I foolishly forgot to set the application. My old Phones just kind of worked. Still in Wanam set the option to yes in the sounds option. The use pbmc to set the buttons and applications.

If you have root, titanium backup is the best way to remove it in my opinion. That's how I got mine removed after backup of all the system apps with sd fix of course to save your backup on your sd card.

If you got root and titanium backup, look for the pink gear (app manager or system manager) in titanium backup and remove it after backup of course.
