after downgrade you can also use CWM to flashing anything you like. Flashing XperimenT 1.7.1 is the best way after you root your device.

[Q] Docomo Xperia A (Japanese ZR) Root?

Hi all,
Does anyone have seen and/or know a way to root the Docomo xperia A (Japanese ZR) or if the Z/ZL method work on it?
I've been looking for a few days and can't find anything yet.
I know it has a locked bootloader so it's only about rooting and getting rid of Docomo's bloatware.
Any information will be appreciated.
Thanks.
Give this a try:

Thank you Beni8978, i have seen this one, and used it for the Z that was my cel before the A but even with the hardware being pretty much the same as the Z i´m kind of scared to try it, i´ll wait a little bit more to see if something more specific shows up.
Thank you!

Thank you seewant,
this looks promising, i don´t read Japanese but i´ll try to translate and study the procedure and see if get comfortable enough to try.
Once again, thank you very much.
I have my Xperia A SO-04E rooted with the method for Xperia UL SOL22.
There is more easier way to get root without flashing the ftf of Z though
Thank you!

Just install Towelroot.apk , reboot and then install supersu
There are tons of rooting thread in this forum and you can easily root your phone step by step.
You haven't mentioned what which version you are currently on.
If you are in the latest 4.4.2 Stock Kitkat 10.5.A.0.230. try this.http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/general/to-root-t2783863

If you want to install vanilla android you have to unlock your bootloader. I suggest you to use the search function and read all the threads about what that means.

Hey, i did a lot of search and then only posted here.
Are you talking about http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/general/tutorial-root-sony-xperia-z-easy-c6603-t2652152 ??
It is written on this WARNING: Only works with firmwares under 4.3!
So i was looking for something which matches my device config.
Thanks for your reply. Please let me know if there is any other link

Don't search. Browse.
Now you are in Xperia ZR General.
Go up one level and then down to Xperia ZR Development or Original Development sections.
Go through various posts. It is there in one of the top few posts.
I am on Tapatalk now so do not have the patience to do it for you.
