Is it possible to connect Android via MHL adapter to a PS3?
I know it sounds useless when we can just connect to our TVs.
My issue is this.
I have a sound bar because I like it loud.
Have my PS3 connected through HDMI to TV and composite audio out to sound bar.
I want to have my Android playing through sound bar.
The only way I see it possible is through the PS3.
Is it possible?
Found a work around unless I can figure this out.
Connected audio to sound bar via BT.

This is just mind-numbingly confusing. Doesn't the PS3 have a built in music player you could use (I can't remember, mine hasn't been on since i got my PS4)? If not then Bluetooth sounds like your only option. Are you trying to get game sound and music at the same time? If so this is not possible.
No. I am streaming video from my device through MHL and the volume through my TV wasn't loud enough for my liking.
The only way to do what I want was video through MHL and audio through BT.
Works pretty well honestly.
Still prefer going through PS3 but I don't know if it's possible.

Hi all,
is there a way to be able to switch the EQ on and off regardless of having headphones plugged in.
i can use my tvout to connect to my TV and also my surround sound player.
i would like to be able to switch the EQ on when i have my phone connected to the tv out.
( it says 'eq can only be used with headphones')
i am assuming that the EQ on could poss damage the speakers if not using headphones hence why it isnt allowed but i wouldnt be using it without going through something e.g car or tv. ( it works fine thru my car audio)
thanks all.

bump, cheers.
you can use a player like nitrogen which has a built in equilizer or you can play with basic equalizer settings in advance confg tools.
I have no clue if one can run it without the headphones though i really doubt if that can happen..
Hi!
I have a B7610 Windows Mobile.
Sometimes it annoys me that I have to pull out my phone to change the song.
I had (still have) a PSP and it has a nice remote attached to the cable and I can change songs with it.
Is there such a device that could allow me to change songs in my Windows Mobile?
I use currently S2P, but could change it if there is a better player (for this remote control feature).
I have noticed that there is only 3 data types in the only input - headphone jack, so don't think it will be possible to add the remote there, so I think the only solution will be with Bluetooth. Also I always wanted wireless headphones...
Btw, it would be really nice if the bluetooth device would be just a device with a headphones jack, because I like my current headphones.
But my priority is to get this remote control feature!
i have a sony MW600, it alows me to change songs, and have a standard 3.5mm jack so you could still use your preferred headphones. downside is that the screen indication does not display songnames and i dont know why.

I hear that the best quality is from AKG and Senhizer. they make studio monitor headphones as well so they know how to create good product)
Here is my set-up:
A Vivo LTV42FHDN 42” Full HD TV (2x HDMI inputs, 1x RCA stereo audio output, few other audio and video input connectors, and a set of really crappy built-in speakers)
A Logitech 2.1 Speaker system connected to TV's RCA audio output
An old DELL XPS M1330 notebook running Windows 7 hooked up to the TV via one HDMI port
A new Chromecast I’m trying to setup connected to the other HDMI port.
When I watch TV and switch to the HDMI input of the PC I get audio through both the TV’s crappy built in speakers as well as the much better sounding Logitech Speakers. However, when I switch to the Chromecast I only hear audio through TV’s built-in speakers. I have connected other PCs and tablets through HDMI before and from what I recall, sound always came out external speakers.
Is there any reason for the PC and Chromecast to behave differently when connected via HDMI ? I tried both HDMI ports, went through TV's audio settings (which only has very few settings like bass, treble, and some sound profiles), but couldn't get the chromecast to output audio through external speakers.
Does this mean Chromecast doesn’t support somesort of an HDMI specification/standard my old PC does, therefore the TV can't split and reroute the audio ? Is there any way to get around this without buying new hardware ? Other than audio, rest of it works great ! For me spending $50 or so extra on additional hardware really defeats the purpose of buying a Chromecast, because for that price I could've bought a DLNA enabled media player.
Any help appreciated. Thanks.
I'm not sure about your LG, but my Sony correctly re-routes audio from Chromecast to SPDIF (optical) output connected to AVR, so the Chromecast isn't a problem. I'm not sure about analog RCA output though.
Just go through your TV settings again. There must be an option burried somewhere in menus.

Thanks for your reply, I did go through all the settings on the TV and even read the manual. But couldn't find anything there. Its not a very high-end TV, hence no optical output, all I have is that stereo analogue output.
Few minutes after posting I again connected my new notebook, and a Windows 8 tablet, audio works fine with all of them. But the Chromecast just doesn't work the same way. When I tested I connected all devices to the same HDMI port and didn't change anything on the TV, all I did was plug one in > test > unplug > plug the next one in > test etc.. that's all.. the fact that everything but the Chromecast work has to mean there is something different in Chromecast's HDMI signal.

Try switching the audio output in whatever application you're casting from to Stereo.
If Chromecast is sending multichannel audio, your TV might be smart enough to decode and play it on its speakers, but not smart enough to downmix to the analog output.

Hi,Were you able to resolve this problem? Chromecast works great except for this exact same annoying problem. Also have the same TV. Thanks.
I have an older Sharp AQUOS TV. Model is LC-46SV50U. I just bought the Sharp sound bar model number: HT-SB30D. I have the sound bar connected to the cable box via the optical cable and the tv connected to the sound bar via the analog cable. I have the Chromecast in HDMI 1. When not using the sound bar the chromecast plays fine and sound is heard. When using the cable box and the sound bar the sound is heard. My problem lies when casting content from any platform to the TV I can not get the sound to go over the sound bar. I do not believe my TV can pass the sound signal from Chromecast to the sound bar due to it being several years old. I am thinking a 'ViewHD Premium HDMI to HDMI + Audio (SPDIF + RAC L/R) Audio Extractor | Converter | VHD-H2HSAs' might work but before I drop the next 35-50$ on an audio extractor I was wondering if anyone else had a different workaround to this problem and if not has anyone tried extracting the audio from Chromecast and how did it work? Thanks!
I don't know if this helps but I have my optical going from my tv straight to my sound bar that way any sound coming from the tv goes to the sound bar and I use a Hdmi cable for my tv to cable box and all works well

Unfortunately I do not have an optical out from the TV. I have a 3.5mm audio out jack, a digital audio out jack and a headphone out jack. That is it for the TV. I have the TV hooked to the cable box via HDMI and the cable box to the sound bar via optical. But it is just the Chromecast that I can not get to play sound, no matter what setting I use on the TV.
I see. I think the issue might be the chrome cast signal is only going out the tv speakers because there is no signal from the tv to the sound bar. All your audio signals are coming from the cable box. Your solution should work. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Well for one you shouldn't need the Optical cable from the Cablebox to the soundbar since the Cable box is sending sound to the TV over the HDMI...
Disconnect the Optical for now and just leave the analog connection from the TV to the Bar and the Cable box sound should go to the soundbar via the TV.
Truth is you probably want to use the Digital out on the TV to the soundbar.
So other TV sources other than the CCast and Cable box work through the bar? I'm guessing they don't.
I should remind you that sometimes Optical doesn't have the bandwidth to handle DTS Audio very well.
I believe people use VR along with a Headphone/earphone, as well as they experience the VR through their 5.1 / 7.1 Surround speaker setups, atleast thats what i saw on youtube where people mentioned they get an immersive experience of the VR when you have the music coming from all the directions on their external speakers/soundbars.
So whats required for this. Currently am hooked up on a 7.1 channel home theater setup, Denon 4311CI AVR, HTPC (Home theater Personal computer) Chromecast, appleTV.. is this possible? Whats required?
Never mind i was able to figure this out.

You can also use bluetooth. My 5.1 theater system is kinda old with no bluetooth but I have a Bluetooth stereo adapter that works great plugged into my front external audio input jack.
Chromecast
if you turn on screen casting with chrome cast before plugging in your phone to the headset it will send audio to the tv. Its not perfect by any means and the video freezes right away but its a simple way to have more immersive sound.
