I think the whole floating chat head thing was a gimmick. It had very little function value. Multiwindow is where we need development

+1. I found the floating windows thing intriguing but the overall user experience of Halo just frustrated me for the most part. I'm not sure I'd use multi-window much on my Nexus 5 but my Nexus 7 is crying out for a well-designed, stable answer to it.

Yeah its not like the notification bar is ever far away anyway.
I do use multiwindow on my "5". Mainly when I want to copy and paste from one thing to another (XDA perhaps?)
good.
HALO was terrible. too much of a gimmick. very little functional improvement
I was a fan of halo loved it in full screen games etc ..
Hopefully they have something up their sleeves .. I got a feeling they do

Well damn, here it is on the Nexus 5 Paranoid Android thread, where they got the link from. At least look at the link on the site I posted before commenting, or hell search the PA thread. I think a PA Dev knows if it's happening or not, and since that's who posted it, well.... it's kind of true. Here's your link.

I tried to get into Halo once. Didnt find it useful because, like someone else said, the notification drawer wasnt far away. It was useful if you had the statusbar hidden but thats it. And I don't like the statusbar hidden. Hopefully whatever they come up with next will be better.

Yeah I checked out the link on the website. I actually posted the same one up in the PA thread an hour before yours lol. Just don't see the need to make a thread in general regarding a rom that's in the development forum. Plus it's better since the PA devs can actually respond since they don't monitor general cause it gets constantly cluttered with questions and pointless threads.

I stumbled across this ROM in a Trinity thread and decided to give it a try. After a couple days use with no issues I thought I would see how many others are having success with this ROM. I wonder why it doesn't get the visibility or attention of some of the others that stay near the top of discussion? It's very fast and stable for me without a custom kernel, anyone have in experience with rasbeanjellly long term? I wonder how many other ROMs are out there that are really good but garner small followings compared to the "favorites"?
Its because the rom does not have its own dedicated thread. Rascarlo prefers to kep it in the trinity thread. It is a great rom.

and theres this review of rasbean jelly http://gearburn.com/2012/10/rascarlo-custom-nexus-rom-review/
I like having the 2 threads in one. It makes it simple to keep up with what's going on.
Click XDA app
Click DER Kernel thread
Read a page or 2
DL if need be
IMO - As long as you've caught up to the recent state of things in the thread, the system works perfectly. The fact that there isn't too much traffic (not necessarily a bad thing) makes it nice and manageable.

I voted on Cyanogen. It has tweaks, but not as many as say PA or AOKP so in theory it shuold be less code to merge.

Right, but they take obnoxiously long to release anything since they always want it to be as bug free as possible. I'd say they will be 3rd or 4th. AOKP or Paranoid will do it first. My money is on AOKP or Slimbean.

I agree...I'd rather wait a week or 2 for a more complete ROM. Like I've mentioned in another post 4.3 is solid so far, just missing some tweaks here and there. I think PA will be the first major release.

..
However more than likely it will be one of these built from everyone else's work Roms to put out a 4.3 release that's half baked .. Kills me how much attention people give others for "building" a ROM buy butchering real devs work..
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I hope pa, but it depends more on other apps working with 4.3. Like touchcontrol etc. I was supposed to keep this phone close to stock when I got it some weeks ago, but pie and dpi settings convinced me.
PA is merging with 4.3 as we speak. Probably see a build today or tomorrow

The image that is credited to XDA is the feature image of the Android with working tools only. This framework has not been posted anywhere other than to the small private beta group. Once the developer is happy that enough progress has been made I understand that the next step will be a public beta and that will probably be posted on XDA.
Xposed is awful and the time to port it to Lollipop is pathetic. It's about time something new came out.
