Hi Guys,
I just had the idea that we can create a Thread where we can put all the Apps that work for Android on the X1.
Here are good working ones:
-Facebook
-MP3 Music Download
-Retro Clock Widget
-Unblock me (unbelievable good running)
-Wifi Tester
Not working Apps:
-Angry Birds
will update this list continuous so that everyone have a overview and is not wasting his time downloading things that dont work.
Please post your experiences.
There was already an idea for that but original author gone, so there was nothing out of it.
Instead of one post, we could use better organized thing like google spreadsheets.
VIEWING LINK: https://spreadsheets.google.com/lv?...rue&sortcolid=-1&sortasc=true&rowsperpage=250
EDITING LINK: https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc...zNyQWVXMDRpWUpZYUtVTmc&hl=en&authkey=CJ7tmYgO
(I have granted access to anyone with editing link. Please don't screw up the file).
There are 3 "grades" of apps:
Perfect - app work as it suposed to. Full speed.
Playable/Usable - app is not working perfectly, but good enough to be usable/playable.
Uplayable/Unusable - app is not working good enough to be usable.
Guy, you can stop sending me emails for access. I set that everyone can edit the list. Just don't broke it please.
Try that link for editing

Hey I just released a branched version of Droid Reader specifically for Honeycomb tablets. It's still in the development phase, but I thought I'd go ahead and throw what I have out on the market so people can get to it. Let me know if you have any problems or suggestions.
You will need to relaunch the application after you authenticate the first time (or hit back on the authentication browser window).
I'm hoping to eventually merge this back in with the actual Droid Reader project, but I have to get ahold of the project owners first. If they end up releasing a tablet edition I'll probably just pull this app.

Only thing is it gets really laggy.

Trying it out right now, so far it looks good, does it have G Reader support or is it like Pulse where you add the RSS feeds to your local storage? I will find out for myself.

Hate to double post, but I have some things to say about it:
When you read an article it doesn't mark it as read
Going back to list of feeds is little misleading, I would assume pressing back would go back, but you have to press that button? Weird
Widget, I know this is in beta, just a suggestion
So far it's surprisingly smooth and stable, had one crash but that's cause I had Tapatalk and Sumarai 2 open in the background. At least I think that's why. Keep up the great work, and I love this so much it got rid of Google Reader( Google didn't even make a Google Reader app for Honeycomb? What the hell?)
Thanks!
Edit:
Embed video crashes the app, just wanted to add that

Great app, thanks !

When you are on the list of RSS feeds you select one and then it takes you to that feed, I would assume to go back to the list all you would have to do is tap the back button, but that does nothing just flip through the articles you have seen, I thought that the back button would take you back to the RS feed list view.
Edit: would like to see a change log on app store please?

Hi, it works good now, but greatest addition will be to support offline cache. And not only RSS cache, but cache external link content. I want read news even when Im not connected and in RSS there are only few sentences, and I must open browser to read all and it is discomfort and with lack of internet connection (eg in train) impossible.
Thanks

Is there anything really useful with this new Market? I'm not really interested in letting apps auto-update, and that seems to be the big groundbreaking change here.
Not to be a pessimist, but just trying to decide whether to try it.

Thx for checking, was curious on that rumor. Anyways, I have the latest market as well but I had a cache script in place prior the market update that fixed that error on all 3.x.x markets. Some of its other features are,
1- Receiving and sending SMS and email
2- Emoji support

4- Addressbook search
Demo: youtu.be/Bvlk3_4MOvA
You can download the app at play.google.com/apps/testing/com.idelan.drexteemessenger
We will appreciate it if you try it and submit your feedback at bit.ly/1iN8QOQ or post it here.
Note: if you can't download it, wait a few minutes and try again. Sometimes it takes a while for Google Play Store to add a new user.
the scroll with the round watch is hard, any chance you can swipe to close the keyboard?
edit: very nice app by the way
Hi zoot600,
> the scroll with the round watch is hard,
Do you mean scrolling the address book or the inbox?
> any chance you can swipe to close the keyboard?
If you mean closing the app, you can do it by swiping from Left to Right anywhere on the screen, other than on the keyboard.
The swiping gesture on the keyboard is used to correct fat-finger errors as shown on this part of the demo:

Hi Dan,
We are sorry it keeps crashing. Thank you very much for letting us know. We will look into it. Does it crash when your are performing any particular action or does it crash when it is running in the background? Thanks!
It crashed both when texting on my phone (Verizon galaxy note 3 with jasminerom 6.1 Marshmallow) and on LG g watch r in background.
I'll keep monitoring if there is a new version to try.

Hey guys,
There are a lot of posts up on XDA with the Pixel XL's feature port for the Nexus 6P. But it gets convenient when everything's under one hood. Also not all are technically sound and well versed with flashing ZIPs, wiping the caches and so on. We need it simple! The common language that we all understand is that of apps.
I've come up with a Nexus 6P-exclusive app that puts everything together and makes it convenient for everyone to get all the features of Google Pixel XL with just a button click.
CREDITS:
gerad_f for his quick update! Please view his thread here.
PREREQUISITES:
1. Google Nexus 6P
2. Root Access with SuperSu installed
3. Android 7.1.1
4. Build N4F26J only (make note, otherwise your device will brick)
5. TWRP installed
NOTES:
1. This app doesn't have a roll-back-to-stock feature, though I'm working on it. In the meanwhile if you want to roll back, simply flash the stock 7.1.1. OTA ZIP which you can fetch from here.
2. There are a few features missed out in the package from Pixel XL though I'm working on porting them too. Read below to know more.
3. The in-app download as of now is about 161 MB so make sure you have enough data / internet before proceeding.
BUGS:
1. A weird one in Google Camera app that the HDR icon randomly disappears. (P.S. same camera version from stock) It requires a workaround which will be updated soon. Though, it isn't a bug with the camera. Just that the HDR icon inside the camera app doesn't show up!
2. In case your wallpaper app crashes, just follow,
i. Open any File Manager (preferably get Root Explorer from Play Store)_
ii. Grant it SuperSu access
iii. Head over to /system/app/Wallpapers-wallpaper/
iv. Just tap the Wallpapers-wallpaper.apk and install it
v. Now try setting a wallpaper to set it.
WHAT'S THERE:
1. Pixel Navigation Bar icons + animation
2. Pixel Live Data Wallpapers + Pixel Live Earth Wallpapers
3. Pixel Launcher
4. Blue Theme
5. Google Assistant
6. Pixel Round Icons
7. Fingerprint Notification Gestures
8. Cherry Picks Store that makes it convenient to select custom MODs and install them!
WHAT'S NOT THERE:
A full roll-back to stock.
DOWNLOADS:
Though the APK has been attached along, kindly take the efforts to download it from the Play Store (links given ahead) and also comment up there; that would be a great motivation for me.
PLAY STORE LINK:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.theincredibleinsider.thegeekylad.nexel6p
Thanks and cheers!

I do want to ask though, every single time I unlock my 6P I get a little toast notification that says an app "has been granted Superuser permissions", I can't tell what the purpose of the app actually is. I even denied superuser for it and everything continued working just fine.
So can you just explain what all is in this?

Pixel Swipe is the app that requires SuperSu access everytime you unlock the phone and that's the app that enables fingerprint gestures for pulling down the notification bar!
The notification bar can be pulled down with a tap on the fingerprint sensor and a press and hold for a subsequent pull up. This is similar to the swipe down and swipe up feature on the Pixel XL. Kindly grant it manual SuperSu permissions for this add-on - it's quite cool, only that system reprioritizes background apps and at times it may not really seem to work at first. At such times, either wait for the system to resume the fingerprint service or manually just tap the Pixel Swipe app in the launcher - it doesn't have a user interface. The tap just starts the service and you're done. Tap the sensor to check its working!

Awesome! Great explanation, thank you. I just updated to DP2 and manually flashed your mods to no avail. Had to reflash the DP2 system image because I was stuck in a bootloop.
I have to say I agree with the previous comment as well that it would be great to essentially have an Aroma-style installer for all your mods. For example, I'm only interested in the launcher, nav bar with animation and the blue system them.
You've really done a great job getting all of this put together. Cheers!

Just heard the news up here regarding the 7.1 NPF26F Developer Preview 2 OTA roll-out for the 2015 Nexus couple. My college's WiFi service is down till 4am after which I can grab hold of the 1.3 gig download.

This is great! Thanks! Also, if you need any assistance with anything just DM me and I'd be happy to help out. I've got decent internet speeds. Also, I remember working on something for the Marshmallow preview back when it had betas for the N6 and we used torrents to share the files back and forth rather than uploading each revision.
In your torrent client, just go to File > Create Torrent and locate the file. Then all you have to do it upload the torrent file rather than the entire file. The more people using it, the better the download speeds. It really saved us quite a bit of time.
Thanks!

Wow that's great news senior! That would have been the perfect strategy with the help of torrents. It wouldn't be required in the current scenario, as I'll fetch it off their servers in exactly an hour and a half when my college WiFi would resume.
