Hy all, my X8 was frozen while installing CM 7.1 Stable, then it turned off. When I tried to turn it on it stuck at the SE logo, then freezed. I tried to get into my recovery and recover my phone, but I couldn't. Then i tried to repair it via PC Companion, but it said: ,,Your ip address is not allowed to update or repair brown phone. Please conect to the SEMC network." . Then I tried to flash 2.1 via Flashtool but it said install or reinstall my drivers. I did it, but the error came up again. Now I don't know what should I do to repair my X8. People said I should use SEUS but I couldn't find a working one for X8. If you can help me, please do!
Thanks for reading this thread, ChongWiz.
Sorry for bad english, I'm hungarian.
Install Gordon's Gate drivers inside flashtool's directory. Then try to flash newest original update by pressing back button through flashing. Flashtool should find your device and install smoothly. If you still have problems with drivers install newest PC Companion.

This may sound funny but it is real. Try the same process what you have done in another computer. I had the problem as you in my laptop. When I tried the process on my desktop computer it was like butter and I restored my phone software in just 15 mins.
I cant say the reason or logic behind but it worked.
Just have a try, you may succeed as me.
U can simply go to cybercafe or just work with another computer that all..
cheers
problem:
My friend had accidently deleted his \system folder and due to that, the phone on rebooting was stuck at the sony ericsson logo and would not go any further
solution:
1) charge the phone
2)download SEUS
3)connect usb port to pc.
4)Launch SEUS
5)When asked to plug the phone, plug the USB into the turned off phone(by removing and reinserting battery) and press the <-- and power button together and keep pressed until led turns green
6)the phone will be updated via SEUS

Please my xperia z is bricked and i havnt used for over a week now,
i installed pc companion on my pc, it detected an update for my phone, i accepted the update, my phone powered down to install the update, and it got stuck there, refused coming back on, i have tried contacting sony customer service, they gave me some procedures which i have followed to the letter, i have used the pc companion to repair but it tells me there is no update for my phone or sometimes it would tell me update engine could not update your device (error 100), i have also tried using flashtool as well and it gave error, my phone is down and if i power it on it tells me update failed, make sure the phone is connected to a computer and try again,
i have tried all the repair/update procedures known to me several times, disabled my antivirus and firewall, attached is an error i got while using the flashtool...
the phone was rooted with a locked bootloader...
any solution would be highly appreciated..

Hi guys,
I got an unlocked, rooted Xperia T with CyanogenMod 12 and the Cyanogen recovery on it. Because i could not install any new roms through this recovery I tried some other thing and did something quite stupid: I think i deleted some USB-OTG software from my phone. Now i cannot access recovery anymore, cannot get my phone to factory default and i'm not able to link my phone to my computer, the computer only responds in fastboot. Any suggestions how i could get my phone working properly again.
Thanks!

0) Charge your phone to 100%
1) Use Flashtool instead of Sony Companion.
2) Find and flash any Android 4.3 official firmware (for locked bootloader) eg. from here? Check your device model!
3) If you want to go any further (to AdrianDC Lineage OS 15.1 Oreo or AOSP Oreo or other custom ROM) follow Bootloader Unlocking Procedure by Sony.
Good luck! PS: Read what you write before posting. Clean your post, give appropriate title. This forum is to help, but you need to read on your own.
Hello everybody,
I'm a long time reader of this forum, started my Android experience with HTC Magic and have always been able to root/flash custom ROMs on every phones I had.
I'm now trying to unlock the bootloader for my Xperia 10 (I4113) in order to flash AOSP, but I'm having a few problems:
- I cannot access fastboot, recovery, or flash mode with the instructions on the Sony website (hold volume rocker buttons and plug cable): for fastboot I get the blue LED for a few seconds but then the phone seems to turn off again. Also trying "adb reboot bootloader" or "adb reboot recovery" does not help and the phone reboots in Android
- I have tried to re-flash stock firmware via Xperia Companion app but it gets stuck at downloading the firmware and never progresses (firmware download never really starts from what I can see)
If it can help, when I power on my phone from a powered off state, a triangle icon with screwdriver and wrench pops up for some time before the phone boots: I have learned from past experience with Xperia phones that it means something went wrong applying an OTA and it should be fixable by restoring the firmware via Xperia Companion, which I'm not able to do.
Has anybody had this problem with their Xperia 10 (or another relatively recent Xperia)? Can someone provide further ideas of how I could access fastboot on this phone?
Just leaving a note here as I managed to solve my problem with Xperia Companion and proceed with firmware restore.
I am running Windows 11 and after I disabled Windows firewall completely and ran Xperia Companion as administrator, it was able to download the firmware and proceed with the operation.
I don't believe running the software as administrator might have made much difference, I believe disabling Windows firewall is what did the trick here.
