hello i have a friend with a samsung galaxy s3 mini, who is trying to flash PACrom from maclaw studio, he currently has cm11 which flashed fine using cwm recovery, he recently tried a few other roms such as aokp, paranoid etc but they all end up in boot loop just the boot animation nothing else sometimes freezes or goes on forever, when he flashed PACrom it got to downloading apps and then restarts itself and goes into bootloop.
i dont fully understand flashing for s3 mini as i have a htc desire s and roms flash differently.
we tried flashing it through odin which still did nothing and we flashed twrp recovery which is recommended by maclaw still no success it seems that cm11 is the only rom that will work. please can anybody help because its annoying for him and he really want PACrom because he likes from what it looks like on my phone.
thanks.

Hello first of all...
i think that you should use MaclawStudio’s TWRP Recovery so you can flash any roms produced by maclaw..then you can follow the steps to install the rom in this page http://maclaw.pl/installation-guide-golden/
its a pretty easy and usefull guide..try it and give feedback..
and btw i switched from cm11 to carbon and i suggest a full factory rest and clean install..

Upgrade your recovery. Use RZ Recovery or CWM 5.0.2.8.
BTW, you should wait atleast 5-10 minutes in Android screen.
I waited for almost 15 mins..3-4 times after flashing rom. I'll try now upgrading recovery..

I had a same problem with 10.1.
Here is the solution:
first of all you need to boot in CWM and wipe all that is possible (cash, partition and dalvic cash),
then install your previous rom AND CM10 gapps !!! Because the boot loop is a result of missing right version of GAPPS for
Cm10.1 or Cm10 !!!
Then you just reboot system and you are ready.
That did work an my SGT P1000.
But I later tried one more time to install Cm10.1 Nightly ROM with right GAPPS for CM10.1 and it worked flawlessly.
I hope it helps !
Hello xda
I know there quite a few posts out there with people detailing their phones rebooting randomly but my phone just hit a new level of weird.
My i9000 reboots randomly into cwm recovery menu for no good reason (I know there is another thread about this but that instance is on the Nexus S and the thread has basically died). This started occurring shortly after I flashed slim ROM 4.2.2 build 5 (came from CM10.1 nightlies). Flashing the rom again and updating it to build 6 has done nothing to alleviate the issue.
I'm using the Semaphore kernel with no OC or changed settings, and having recently bought a new battery, I'm really not sure where to start looking for the problem.
If anyone can give me some tips it'd be greatly appreciate, thanks in advance.

hi
randomly i will got this problem if i m flashing backward. like from 4.2.2 - 4.2.1, or 4.1.x to 4.0.x. or repeatedly changing between kernel (i always do this to modified ROM to suits my settings n need) its probably due to changing partition in system or kernel clash (even i did all wipe) in internalsd.
Sorry to say. it will come worst sometimes if u ignore da problem or keep flashing ROM to avoid it. 'Luckily' about 2 hour ago my sgs just did. Constantly booting to recovery n its juz bootloop between kernel splashscreen n sgs white splashscreen after it.3 combo button will not working for recovery n only download mode accessible.
no more method for me . Juz flashing back to stock firmware JVU +CF-ROOT with odin was da answers
but if u dont familiar with odin.seek guide here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2149455
but use it as ur last method!
clashing between titan.....no! kernel maybe da reason.do some wiping before changing kernel or ROM. n format system if necessary before flashing!

Reboots into CMW with Slim Bean 4.3 and Semaphore
Hi guys, any news on the subject? Exactly the same thing happening to me. I did a clean installation of Slim 4.3, after using CM10 and everything seems to be working perfectly except it reboots into CWM every 1-2h!!! I haven't changed any configuration and didn't mess with the kernel that came with the ROM, which is Semaphore... Is it a kernel issue? Should I try to flash the latest version?

I run into the same problem with my current update of my I9000 to CM 10.2.1 and the Semaphore Kernel 3.3.0 (JB).
Any ideas on this issue from the pros?
I realized that it was happening to me only when I was loosing the network coverage, like being in the underground or roaming or things like that... I don't know if it happens to everyone but in my case it's definitely this. If there is no network available my phone will boot into recovery after a while. If the signal is OK, it doesn't happen. Maybe it has something to do with the modem?!

Hi buddy you can try different custom roms for SSG3 mini one of them is Maclaw's CM10.1 you can check out the Dmod Rom too it's on version 6 by now, there are also pacman and AOKP custom roms as well as enox and benz rom, there are some other more roms but these are the most used by people around, (there isn't a paranoid rom until I know and unfortunately there isn't a MIUI rom either ) i'm personally using carmor rom that is based on Dmod rom v6 good luck trying out pal

Install a custom recovery, easiest way to install is by downloading goo.im (TWRP) or rom manager (CWM), just choose either one
then you can flash custom packages in recovery, and you might also want to flash the 3 button mod to enter recovery

already done installing a new custom rom i tried the [ROM][AROMA][DEODEX]DMod v6 its cool.. thanks all
CM10.1 and AOKP are very good but lacking the ability to record videos.. Dmod is my favourite stock based ROM but they're all worth trying.
My first custom ROM on this phone was benzrom, no problems there.
PAC ROM and paranoid android were a bit slow for my liking. Perhaps they're not as suited to this phones speed.
I'm currently using AOKP by maclaw studio and it is my favourite as its very smooth and light, and has good customization.

Video recording currently only working on Oliver's CM10.1, Maclaw is going to port it to their CM10.1, and maybe AOKP later
recently uninstalled the dmodv6 because it makess my phone laggy.. it dont run smooth , dont know why..installed the cm10.1 by oliver its smooth and fast but the problem is everytime i plug the charge it automatically turns on, is there any solution with that? also is there a way to change the menubackground? its always black -_-.
I know a lot of people will curse me for opening this thread but i really need help. I have searched and could not find my query resolved and i have no other choice left except to post here,
So my dad randomly gave me Galaxy Note (Indian version) today. I mean, this phone is 3 years old. Anyway, i have Sony Xperia L and Xperia SP as my daily drivers and flashing Roms, kernels is quite easy on them as i only require flashtool. I have never before used a samsung product. So, i do not have a clue on how to root it and flash CM/AOSP on it.
I searched quite a lot and came upon a rooting guides and Philz kernel but i have no idea what to do.
Any help would be appreciated, all i want to do is flash a custom Rom (CM 10.1, CM11)
Android 4.1.2 sucks on this beast.
Android: 4.1.2
Baseband: N7000DDLS6
Build No.: JZO54K.N7000DDLSC
UPDATE: So i flashed a .zip:- PhilZ-cwm6-XXLT9-ORA-5.11.2-signed and voila, i have root ;
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot
Regards,
Ishaan
Didn't you try the cm installer app?
Anyway once you have Philz kernel installed, you can flash the cm 10.1\10.2 zip from recovery. To flash cm 11 you will need to first install raw r4/5 kernel and then go with cm 11.
I appreciate your reply man
Yes I have his kernel the one I have named in the OP.
So I just need to flash cm10/10.1 from recovery?
No need to unlock bootloader or anything or flash a cm based kernel? :$

So i pretty much messed everything up.
I did as you said and download cyanogenmod installer on both my note and laptop. Everything was going fine and all files were downloaded.
But all of a sudden, CM installer on PC said something like device not found. And on note, there was the CM logo. So i pressed retry but the problem persisted.
So i turned of cm installer, removed battery from device and turned it on. Below the Samsung Galaxy note, there is a yellow triangle and after that the screen goes blank. No samsung or CM bootlogo.
I tried and i am able to get into recovery and download mode. What do i do guys? :'(
Just help me get back to stock and ill be happy.
Thanks in advance
N7000 does not have a lock bootloader at all.

EDIT: So flashed CM10.2 (4.3.1). Finally the phone is working. Flashed it manually through recovery.
Still getting the yellow error icon.
Only 2 things i require now,
How to get back on complete stock firmware? (4.1.2 INDIAN)
AND,
Remove the stupid error?
Thanks a lot Guys :'D

Currently I am on Ultimate Rom v6 with speedmod kernel. The battery life is not impresive.

Since the battery is new then you should be getting at least 4h on screen time.
