So I am a total NOOB when it comes to HTC and might have done something stupid. I just bought a used HTC one and it was bone stock. I decided that I wanted to install a google play edition rom. I did that and the ROM worked great except that I kept losing signal or not getting it at all. I didn't realize that I was supposed to make a BACK up in TWRP. I am trying to get the device back to stock and have tried flashing a zip file via fastboot only for it to fail.
I am not really sure what to do. I didnt realize it was this complicated to get back to stock. I had a GALAXY S3 before and just had to flash stock image via ODIN.
If anyone can HELP, that would be APPRECIATED.

I flashed the appropriate GURU reset package and it seems to have worked to getting me back to stock but I still can't obtain a signal.
There is a bell radio floating around for 1.55 hboot 3.x based device. Flash that in custom recovery

Thanks, I just did that but still NO GO. I am starting to think that maybe this is a stolen phone and is barred from the network.

That RUU will not work. There is no RUU for your cid. Are you looking to return to stock 02 UK? Just download revone push it to your device and s off again. Restore a nandroid backup (if you don't have one I can give you a link), install stock recovery and then reset tamper flag, lock bootloader and then OTA to 2.24.206.1 then s on

No my phone has an asian variant. So what do I need to do? Do I need to have my CID to have 11111 so that the RUU will work? I don't also know how to do Nandroid back up.
Thank you for your reply steve!
Hello
This is my first post on this forum. I followed guide here to do the following:
1. Unlock the bootloader using htcdev site
2. Install TWRP
3. Rooted the phone
I want to go back to stock now, not that I need it, I just want to be sure if this can be done completely. By completely I mean no tampered flag, no unlocked flag and OTA updates, stock rom and recovery.
What procedure should I follow for this? I read many threads, but it seems I cannot find a stock RUU for my phone.

I also need to go to stock ROM. I only installed custom recovery which overwrite some data because after this some HTC apps like flashlight, calculator are missing. If I only install stock recovery then will all system apps will be restored and I can say I am complete stock?

No. I have a lot of trouble using Sideload in TWRP anyway. It may be my computer, but I've not been successful so far. If fastboot works, I would recommend doing an RUU. Here is a link to a thread here that I've used in similar circumstances: [Bad Boyz RUU. Should get you going. You will need to redo everything, but your phone will work again.

I would suggest getting S-OFF is you plan on messing with your phone at all. It's not too difficult or time consuming and takes some fear of bricking your phone away.
beautiful, worked like a charm, will keep that handy from now on, much thanks for the help
I recently flashed ARHD and now I am experiencing really slow data speeds. It still says 4G butit's running at like edge speeds... My apn settings are right.. any ideas?? I need this fixed bytomorrow I'm going out of town.
In the dialer, type *#*#4636#*#* then go to phone information scroll down a bit until you see a drop down right above turn cell radio off and make sure that you have the proper settings selected.

What should it be set on for AT&T? I've tried a couple and nothing changed
I have mine set to GSM/WCDMA/LTE I'm on AT&T as well. Did you flash any firmware or radios in addition to the rom?

I switched to that and same result.. and no I just flashed the Rom
What were you running before arhd? I'm using the same and haven't had any issues with data speeds varying across roms.
What were your speeds before? And what were you getting and currently getting as far as lte, 4g etc. If you know what your average signal strength was compared to it now. All of that could help figure out what's going on
I was running skydragon.. and I'm getting the same signal but it's really slow... And I was also running 8.2 now I'm running the ARHD stock kit Kat one with sense 6 and same thing is going on.. if I wiped my whole device and flashed the Rom again would it fix this?
When you switched did you do a full wipe?

I think I wiped caches and stuff but I don't think I wiped internal sd and data.
You don't really have to wipe internal storage. I would wipe everything else and reinstall to see if that helps.
Okay so I should wipe my data?
I would yes
---------- Post added at 06:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:54 PM ----------
The only other thing you could try aside from full wiping would be to reflash the current radio you have to see if that helps

I think I am in a similar boat as the first poster. HTC ONE M7 Tmobile, trying to get MMS working on ATT after Lollipop update. I rooted, unlocked bootloader and installed TWRP and then ARHD, lollipop version. Worked GREAT! But my work provider checks for Root, so I disabled SuperUser app and it still detected root. I then (like an idiot apparently) relocked the bootloader and now I'm stuck, TWRP won't load when I go to recovery. My phone is showing hboot 1.61.0000, S-on.
Typing "fastboot getvar" doesn't work, it just shows me the available commands...

http://d-h.st/oNE Here you go, download the OTA, open it, its jsut a zip file, inside you will see firmware.zip, open that too using something like winRAR or 7zip, and take out recovery.img, thats your stock recovery, flash it the same way you flashed twrp.
for the future, everything for the dual sim is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2617159

yours is completely different, you should start a new thread really, but your problem is you locked the bootloader with a custom recovery installed, and now you cant unlock it cos the unlock token requires stock recovery, as your s-on and locked you cant flash anything, only way you can fix it is to find the stock firmware for 7.18.531.2 and flash that in RUU mode, it will put stock recovery back on your phone.
I think HTC site has the full stock t-mobile RUU which will return you to full unrooted stock
EDIT: yes they do, download is at the bottom of the page, follow the manual update instructions: http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-t-mobile/news/
trying it now. THANKS!

It goes through the start up and then says my battery is less than 30% charged. Only problem is that it is fully charged. 4.2v according to the readout. Weird... It was on the charger all night as well, so of course it's fully charged. Not sure what to do now.

You still think a new thread would help?

yes probably, not sure what the issue is there, maybe try a factory reset first, something isnt reporting properly.
selecting factory reset literally just reboots the phone. It's borked.

http://d-h.st/oNE Here you go, download the OTA, open it, its jsut a zip file, inside you will see firmware.zip, open that too using something like winRAR or 7zip, and take out recovery.img, thats your stock recovery, flash it the same way you flashed twrp.
