stock AT&T MotoX not locking after timeout. - Moto X Q&A

Two week old device, running 4.4 build number 13.11.1q2.x-69-3
Daydream is turned off, timeout is set to 30 sec (but have tried 15 and 60 without change)
The screen will dim at that time but remain unlocked and on.. it first started when charging but now happens nearly daily. Restarting will fix it for a couple minutes. Any ideas? ? Should I warranty the device?

Bump
Anyone? This is stock launcher, no widgets as close to out of the box as possible really..
I tried Battery Stats+ but with KitKat requires Xposed so that isnt an option..

Troubles OTA Update 4.19.401.11

Hi guys.
I am a french guy with an european One with the Soft version 4.19.401.11.
I have 2 issues since this update:
- with the date & time set on automatic, my One is in late. In firt, it was few minutes (7 or 9). Now, it's in late of 31 min.
I have to disable the automatic time and set it manualy.
- the screen timeout doesn't work someting (maybe there is a link with my time issue). Sometimes, the sreen stays "on" and I have to shut it off myself.
For exemple, when I charge the phone and I remove the power adapter, my screen stay "on" and if I don't take care, it use my battery.
I made 3 or 4 reset and the trouble is still here.
Anyone have a solution please?
Thanks a lot.

Use an app like GSAM battery monitor to find out if you have any wakelocks. I sometimes have a similar problem with the screen staying on if I hav my phone on auto-standby, Maybe try another setting
Thanks yoda1998, I'll try this app.

[Q] Can't set screen timeout on any rom

So far I have tried Chroma, Benzo, Slim LP, CM12, Euphoria and maybe couple of more. But same problem with all roms. Due to some reason I cannot fix screen timeout values to my desired ones. I go to settings and set e.g 30 secs or one minute, after I exit the setting and come back to see, it's either set to 30 mins, or 220 secs or 2 mins, Or the value are blank. but it doesn't work as these values too, it just stays on. Have used few timeout apps from play store but didn't work . I have included the screen shots. Is there any way I can override the value manually.? Or any work around? Please.
Screen timeout works fine for me on chroma. And worked fine when I ran benzo
UPDATE : I used toolkit to install stock and then flashed custom rom again (after unlocking the bootloader and installing recovery). That fixed my issue.
Thanks anyways

[Question] EuphoriaOS 1.1 Freezing/Restarting/UI Unresponsive

Hi. I tried to post in the EuphoriaOS thread, but I don't have enough posts to say something in the development section.
My Nexus 6 is currently using the latest official EuphoriaOS 1.1 and everything has been great up until about a month ago.
This happens sporadically. My phone will start to freeze in the middle of doing anything.
Ex1. I'm listening to Spotify and my music will freeze every 10 seconds or so. Instead of being like a normal skip, it picks up exactly where it left off.
Ex2. I push the power button to wake my phone, but nothing happens for ~3 seconds. Pushing it again will bring up my lockscreen, but my lockscreen is totally unresponsive, so I can't unlock my phone. I can use the power button to turn the screen back off. Then I will wake it again like normal, and It unlocks just fine.
Ex3. My UI in general becomes sluggish and at times completely unresponsive.
Ex4. My phone will just restart randomly. It has done it numerous times each in different applications. I haven't been able to pinpoint a cause.
I enjoy using Euphoria and do not want to update to any Marshmallow ROMs because I have everything the way I like it. My battery is great and Marshmallow currently doesn't have Xposed.
I haven't really installed anything new since before these issues started. They just happened out of the blue.
This stuff happens maybe every couple days at totally random times.
Could anyone help me in trying to fix the issues I'm having?

Moto G6 notifications during sleep

Got my moto g6 amazon exclusive model a few days ago. I started to notice while the phone was just sitting on my desk and gone to sleep / doze? my notifications were not coming through (around 5-10 mins after screen off). Any notifications within that time would be fine. After that if I had any new notifications, I would get them all in one go after I turned the screen on or moved my phone with moto display. (I turned off the motion sensor feature)
Just trying to get an understanding of whats going on. I have played around with some settings and currently seem to have got it back to normal by setting all my important apps (gmail/whatsapp/twitter...) to not be battery optimised. I also found some notification setting elsewhere that gave the default launcher permissions. I used nova launcher so I gave that permission too just in case, but I think the main fix was battery optimisation.
Just find it odd that I have never had to go into battery optimisation before on my previous phones (nexus 4, wileyfox swift) and notifications have come through fine after long periods of time in sleep mode.
Anyone able to suggest something else that may be causing this, or I could try. I wouldnt have noticed this problem if it wasnt for being at my PC and seeing new emails/fb messages coming in and not getting notification on my phone after the phone had gone into sleep.
-------------
As of typing this I recieved an email that also did not notify on my phone. Only when I picked up the phone I got it instantly. Battery optimisation for apps may not have worked.
Hi,
Could you solve this issue? If so, how?
Thanks.
I had the same issue a few weeks ago after playing around and disabling apps/services I didn't think i needed . I had to re-enable the "Moto" app, go into "Moto Display" and enable "Peek Dsiplay". That fixed notifications coming through the locked screen for me.

Display sleep/timeout

I've had my P20 pro for a couple of weeks now and for the most part I'm enjoying it. I particularly love the great battery life. But one thing that's driving me crazy is that don't like a screen that shuts itself off quickly so I always keep my phones set to the highest timeout time and turn it off manually when I want to (I use a flip cover app). My old phone allowed me to set it to 30 minutes and this one allows 10 minutes which is still fine.
But it won't stay. I set it to the 10 minute maximum and it's good for a little while, maybe a few hours, and somehow it reverts itself back to one minute again which i notice when my screen goes off quickly and I have to go back in and change it. I NEVER had to change this on my old phone (Moto X Play which I used for three years) unless I just finished a major Android version update. But on this one I'm doing it multiple times/day and it's driving me crazy enough that I'm actually considering getting rid of it.
Is there any possible way to force it to leave my settings alone??
I appreciate any suggestions.
