Hiya guys, i am trying to put my Lumia 625 into USB/ Debuggin mode i cant seem to find out how? Any ideas pls
Yeah, its in the Nokia On Device Diagnostic Tool, that's only available for all PreProduction Nokias... It works on any WP8 Lumia once we find an InteropUnlock.
Thals1992 Thanks for the info & reply!!
Ive found a video which explained what you are telling me but mine doesnt respond like he's on the video does? mine just tells me the model and lifetime info and color? ive been into Settings and still nothing?

Yours is not a preproduction device.
DaviUnic What does that mean pls? OH ive just tried to create another thread about another issue and i cant? the site wont let me? what can i do?
Preproduction devices are prototypes, test and developer devices, they're not sold in stores or otherwise available to the public. And you don't have one. What you have is a production device, and those are usually tied down to the max, hence the whole unlocking effort here. So there's really nothing you can do at this point, at least until a proper unlock is achieved for Nokia devices. Of course, if you have any knowledge about this, feel free to enlighten us all.
"DaviUnic" Once again thanks for explaining that! i will just give the phone away its no good to me i bought it out of the paper & was told its unlocked but the polish guy i bough it from didnt answer his phone his GF did and she said he's moved back to poland so she told me she cant help me anymore? & as the phone is locked to another network and ive got a contract with a differant one its of no use to me so thats £120 down the drain Many thanks

Hold on, if it's SIM locked there may be possibilities of unlocking it. You can try dialing the following code: ##7820. That should show you simlock status and you can also unlock with code from there. If dialing the code doesn't work, you may need to use Native Toast Launcher. Now I don't know much about simlocks and stuff, so someone else will probably be of more help than me.
"DaviUnic" Thanks for that i was within 30 mins of giving it away? so many thanks!!! Ive inputed the code and its come up as "Locked Sim" i appreciate its a newish phone so i really dont know what else to do with it? HOLDON? ive just realised ive got a prog that ive used in the past since typing this text it unlocks phone its given me a code that looks like this:
Model: Nokia (DCT4 ) (Gen)
IMEI: 35**********121
Network: 2********
#pw+195 *** *** 337 670+1#
#pw+142 854 *** *** 250+2#
#pw+108 *** *** 660 742+3#
#pw+799 *** **** 750 706+4#
#pw+729 400 *** *** 206+5#
#pw+409 *** *** 767 723+6#
#pw+183 464 010 *** ***+7#
This is the unlock code i think but i dont know how to input it on the phone dialer as its got letters? Would this unlock it do you think cause the prog states these are the unlock codes?? Cheers
I don't think that's the right code/whatever for a SIM unlock. Should really be just one long number that you enter in that unlock screen, or when you insert an unsupported SIM and the phone asks you to unlock.
Carriers usually offer unlock codes to those who ask (they surely won't beg you to unlock your phone), so I'd contact the carrier that the phone is locked to for unlocking options.
"DaviUnic" Sorry i didnt get a notification that u had replied? Well what i think is that one of the lines of code is the unlock code? if i knew how to input letters as well as numbers on the dailpad i might have a chance of finding out? Thanks again for your replies!! ::good:

The unlock page only allows numbers, so if there's letters in there, then it's definetly not an unlock code. As I said, contact the carrier in question to ask them about unlocking options. In best case, you'll have to tell them your IMEI and they'll come back to you with an unlock code.
oh ok i understand now many thanks mate!! your a star!

Thanks a ton for this - it was surprisingly hard to find out where I could enter a SIM unlock code on my Lumia 635 without having a different SIM. Worked great!

Hi
a quick question. I just bought one of these xdas from ebay. However when I got it the phone appears to be locked. When I insert a sim it saya 'network is lock please insert unlock code'. I am not sure what the problem is but am worried have been sold a stolen phone that has been barred.
The seller is not being helpful and I really would like to just keep the phone. My question is- if it has been barred is there a way to unbar it? I know it is possible to unlock xda phones by flashing new roms & changing the radio etc as i have followed the instructions on here before, but just wondering if anyone could offer any technical advice on my problem. It will be a lot of hassle to get a refund as seller is not at all responsive so any help would be appreciated please.
watch the wiki !
thear is a unlocker.
just put it on the device and start it.
Thanks- will clarify
Hi thanks for the quick response! I will go read the wiki now. I guess I should phrase my question better though- what i mean is, if the phone has been barred/ blocked on the network etc will unlocking it with the unlocking tool be of any use? Thanks in advance.
the unlocking tool will remmove all network lock from ur phone.so ur phone can access any network.

No. If the IMEI has been blocked on your providers network, the only one who can get it working is said provider.
However, your description of the problem is a sim locked phone. Once you run the unlocker, you should be fine.
I just bought a used 3 month old AT&T Tilt for $300 and I have tried to unlock it with no luck. Can somebody please tell me what I am doing wrong.
This is what I got:
AT&T Tilt with Win 6.1, No other changes made to the phone that I'm aware of.
I downloaded "Kaiser-Simunlocker" from this site and followed the directions to the "T".
It all goes just as the instructions say until it is supposed to display the unlock code on my computer. The Window that is supposed to show me the unlock code won't stay open. It opens and instantly disappears... It doesn't stay open even a second so I can't read it.....
I'm not sure what is wrong or what I am doing wrong so I'm hoping (Praying) somebody here can walk me through this.
I would greatly appreciate any assistance somebody can offer.....
Thank you!
Jess
The best thing you can do is call AT&T at this number..... (888) 892-9760 Tell them that you bought it used & you'd like the Subsidy Unlock Code for the phone. They're gonna ask you for the IMEI #. Dial *#06# before you call them & write that number down. That'll get you a really good start.

I appreciate the reply however I already tried to get the code from AT&T....
They wouldn't give it to me. I had a hell of a time just getting to talk to somebody because I don't have an AT&T account.
I never could get mine to work because im on vista but you need to open a comand promt, it should be in Start/Program/accessorys if im not mistaking, i am assuming your on step 2 I would try typing something like "C:\Users\Joshua\Desktop\kaiser-simunlocker\step2\kaiser-simunlocker.exe" yours wont be quite like that since your probly using Windows XP but you get the idea
I just got it unlocked..... I found a newer unlocker on here and it did the trick...thanks guys!
got root on the G1 already ,possible unlock the G1 without unlock code
anyone working on it ?
I think there are 3 possible ways:
1:find the unlock flag then rewrite
2:find the IMEI code and change it to a IMEI code that has already got the unlock code
3:find the unlock algorithm
hack the baseband
Did you figure out something? I got my T-Mobile G1 bought off eBay in the brand new packaging with a SIM card. Probably someone stole it from BestBuy or Futureshop, whatever, but I generally don't care where it came from bradn new that cheap
But now NO ONE can provide me with an UNLOCK code for it
I tried several different unlock sites, including the most famous one mentioned here, but no one can actually calculate an unlock code based on my IMEI.
I tried some solutions like Gevey 3G / TurboSIM for G1, but eventually the phone with a "proxy" SIM sort of "sees" my SIM card, but still unable to register to the network.
I was wondering if any cable unlock solution was found for the G1 already.
I got the phone rooted with the latest baseband and with the latest self-made build off the android repository, but cannot figure out how to unSIMlock it now..
find someone with t-mobile, have them activate the phone on their line, then use a site or hopefully they have been with t-mo long enough to add international calling, tell them you require the phone unlocked to use a euro sim and your set
disclaimer: in theory
all of the above except adding a stolen phone to t-mo actually work [might still work, not like your responsible for ebay origins] and t-mo's great customer service will unlock it for you immediately if your account qualifies for international calling,
Call T-Mobile
call Jenny-Craig

Sounds crazy, not sure at all if it's been mentioned before but try www.htcunlock.com
They claim to be able to get any code for almost any htc phone including the G1, you can also buy codes in bulk to lower the cost, and its paid through paypal, so its kinda secure
Just my thoughts anyway
Oh and if you are unlocked but have no network, try setting up the APNs in wireless settings
Be prepared to wait several days for an unlock code from tmobile.

I was unlocking the G1 for £3.50 using a site I had access to. I was getting the unlock codes back within an hour too.
PM me if you want your phone done.
No in fact, don't PM me as I don't have the access any more.
The website that can do it is Uniquephones.com

LMFAO...GNR
Hi all, I have a similar experience. We have a G1 here that was never linked to a contract, and T-Mobile refuse to acknowledge its existence. I have tries one unlocking company so far, and they claimed they were unable to get the code. Does this mean I will not be able to get the unlock code for my phone at all?
if its saying that its unable to register on the network then that usually means the sim has been disabled or that the phone has been reported stolen and the IMEI blocked
seems like nobody have a "flash scan" to get our SIMUNLOCK code
Thats the strange thing, it is simply locked to tmobile, a tmobile sim works in the phone, and all is good, but it is locked from other networks (asks for code)
Hello I just bought a LG optmius 2X from fido and i have went out and got an unlock code ( yes i made sure i had the correct iemi number) BUT here is what happend
I went to the dialer typed in 2945#*990# brings the unlock panel so i begin typing my code the first one went quickly and the phone quickly restarted so i thought yay i did it so i threw in a rogers sim but to my suprise nothing happend.. so i tryed again with a bell sim and once again nothing happend so now i was checking the imei number and that matches with the unlock codes so i have no clue what im doing wrong as well i tryed all the other codes that i was sent with no luck as well
what am i to do?
PS When booted up it says NO SIM as well i have NEVER had a accutal fido sim card in the phone as well i have updated to android 2.3 and that effected nothing

If you're not getting replies it's because nobody that has seen this yet knows how to help (me included).
In my case it was quite simple as the companies over here are forced to give the unlock codes, all I did was put a SIM from a company other than what I had (as said on the instructions) and then bring the unlock menu and enter the code.
Don't know if using a different SIM before unlocking is necessary because of the model itself or just the company I was using, it wouldn't hurt trying that way so put another sim first and then bring the unlock panel.
Thank you very much for the reply. I have tryed two other sim cards. both givethe same result now isthere a way to check if the phone is ulocked not buy puting in an new sim? Also the phone has never had a fido sim in it could this cause problems?

The easiest way to check is using a non accepted sim card and getting network. I don't think never have used a fido sim is the issue.
I just want to be sure you're doing the steps right,
1.- Insert a non accepted sim and start the phone, when the phone has loaded you should see the message "locked network/sim" (don't know exactly what it says in english)
2.- Dial the sequence 2945#*990# or 2945#*999# and then input the unlock code, you should get a message saying the request to unlock the phone was successful (again, or something like that) and then the phone will restart
3.- Once it loads again, you should see the name of the network provider and have signal.
Now try again, and tell exactly where it's going different for you to see if someone can help you, if not there's always the option to unlock by software.
Thank you but i get an error when i send the unlock code says networking error of.somthing also is softweare unlocking easy to do?

Hey guys,
Was trying to extract my unlock code from block device mmcblk0p6. I've rooted my phone and have ssh, busybox but when I check that block nothing makes sense. So my question is is that block now encrypted or something ? Or should I be looking elsewhere for UN_lock_code ?
Cheers.

If its anything like the Xperia P then finding that unlock code is like impossible or so i've heard...Contact your carrier maybe? they might unlock it for like £15
True, I have never heard of any free way to sim unlock apart from speaking VERY nicely to your carrier and they are unlikely to do it for free...
Just a heads up, if you took your phone out on contract with O2 (UK) they will give you the unlock code for free, providing you are still in contract.

Yeah, with O2 in the UK it is free of charge. I have requested a SIM unlock code with my previous phone - an arc - which took 3 days for them to respond. With my Xperia T they took a week to respond and I got my unlock code last week.
A word of caution, you only get 5 attempts to enter a wrong unlock code so don't **** around and try random numbers like 0000 or something like that. After that, the phone is SIM locked permanently and you're screwed. With previous phones you could unlock the bootloader, using the SETOOL, which also wipes the simlock but with the Xperia T I dont think you can do the SETOOL thing no more...
Have a look here: http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/SRVS/CGI...ef(User):str(Mobile),CASE=ref(unlockmymobile)
...or go directly here: https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset Unlocking Form
The email you then receive looks like this:
Dear O2 Customer,
Thank you for your email.
The code you require for IMEI No - 123456789012345 is as follows:-
1234567890123456
For Unlatching Sony Ericsson Devices;
- Power on device with a non O2 UK SIM card
- The device shows: "SIM network unlock PIN"
- Enter the unlock code (NCK) for the network lock and press "Unlock"
- Device will pop up a message "Network unlock successful"
Kind Regards
