Black flicker, no kernel logo & rom logo - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
Sorry my bad english.
My X8 rooted, bootloadered
I used a lot of ROMs and Kernels, but i had screen cut and black screen, but the touch screen worked because the phone vibrated, when dissolved in.
Since I restarted my phone, the phone just blinks but no picture no sound.
Display is certainly good, because I changed, but it had no pictures.
What could be wrong with the hardware or software? Fixable?
Thank you in advance for your response.
Best Regards,
Lacc86

I'm not sure i understood correctly.
Your phone vibrates when you try to turn it on? Does the led flash red? Try to charge the battery for a few minutes to see if anything changes. Tell us what happens.
Also, do you know what happened before this? Did you flash a zip? Edited somehing? More details can help.

yeah like cascabel said..
tell the detail of your problem dude
did u try to unlocked bootloader
or
flash the wrong kernel / rom ???

try to reflash kernel

Galaxy Note-Can't see screen but touching works. Help

Hi guys, My galaxy note isn't working properly.
I can't see anything on the screen. (Black screen) but touch works.
I can still see the lights on menu and back button. Phone itself works fine. I called the phone and slide pick up even though I can't see the screen, I can talk.
So basically screen has stop show images.
Any idea what it is?
What did you do?
Honestly I didn't do anything. I left my phone in my bag then couple of hours later it stopped working. Works fine in the morning.
Can you elaborate your Note's configuration? Which ROM, kernel, etc?

Phone is rooted, Running rocket ROM. Been running rocket ROM for almost 1 month. I didn't do anything before this happen.
and fyi, when I boot up the phone, still can't see anything, even with recovery mode.
Probably an SOD. Have you tried rebooting? Which kernel do you use?

I've tried rebooting, taking out battery and restart, tried going to recovery mode, anything I could think of.
I'm not sure about kernel. I can't check. But it's the kernel the comes with Rocket ROM.

And after anything you could think of the screen doesn't show anything?
Sorry mate, seems that your hardware is faulty and you need to send it back for repair.

When I rebooted my phone, I can still hear my unopened text messages notification sound. Buttons and touch are responsive.
and phone is rooted, doesn't that void the warranty?
this has happened to me a couple of times..
it happens randomly after trying to come out of sleep...the phone works fine after a reboot..
i wonder what this problem is??
thankfully it only happens once in a blue moon...
I'm on stock rom unrooted...

Do you have custom binary counter increment and/or yellow triangle?
Well if you can't see anything on the screen, they won't either, provided it is a hardware malfunction.
I bought this phone on eBay, and it's overseas seller. Do I contact Samsung or the seller?
You should contact the party responsible for the warranty of your product.
Well, if they find out that you are on custom ROM they could deny warranty.
Since it looks like your screen went off, PC odin should still work, unconditionally.
So just boot up the phone in download mode (vol down+ menu+ power), connect to PC odin and flash stock firmware relevant to your country and you are good to go.

Hey this does not mean that your screen works, sorry for my misleading reply.
That is just to be sure that you get the warranty.
still doesn't work. Gonna have to send it for warranty i guess...
and could this be like a loose plug/connector inside a phone?

[Q][Solved] Screen not turning on. Is it bricked?

I installed Evervolv-Perdo-2.2.0a2 ROM on my nexus one (before that I had earlier versions), but I had a red-glowing trackball issue which was worrying me so I decided to go back to stock android to see if it fixes my problem. The first thing I did was to uninstall blackrose, so the original bootloader could be restored. After I did that, I copied PASSIMG.zip file onto sdcard, rebooted and seconds after it stated to mess with my phone, the screen went off. I have no idea what happened, but I expect the worst
Now the screen won't turn on. Orange LED lights up when phone is connected to the charger, it vibrates when I hold down the power button, but the screen is always black, no sign of life. Can I bring my awesome phone back to life? Or is it dead? Please help me.

Thank you for your answer.
No, it does not work. It seems like the android does boot up however because trackball is glowing red, but it stops when I hit the power button (lock) and glows again when I push the power button one more time (unlock).

I just googled, and the only solution is to send it back to google/htc. Or just buy a new one! You permanently bricked it. This is from the wiki:
There are several thread, especially one that contains an instruction on howto downgrade the HBOOT version.
Many users are not aware of the difference between an AMOLED and a SLCD Nexus device. The EPF30 ROM, is a special ROM, containing an image that WILL BRICK Nexus One devices that are of the SLCD generation!
The MICROP will be downgraded from 0c15 to 0b15, resulting in an irrecoverable flash, that will let the trackball light up in red, the only solution is to send it back to factory and let them fix it.
A lot of problems people are running into, is when they follow a downgrade instruction made by Nexus One owners, that have an AMOLED device and upgraded to boot version 0.35 by accident.
I have access to fastboot. Won't it help?

Did you not read my post? It is unrepairable. You downgraded the display driver. There is no update anywhere. You cannot recover it. IT IS BROKEN FOREVER! I'm sorry but there is no recovery from this.
I was able to flash PASSIMG_Passion_Vodafone_Generic_2.15.151.5_R_FRF91_release_signed via fastboot so no, it is not broken forever. The only problem I have now is screen not working in the bootloader/recovery and while loading the system, but after android is loaded it works just like it used to. Anyone knows how to fix this?
If you check the PASSIMG that got you screwed (I guess you didn't read the red letters of warning in Wiki), and find what image is the microp that got downgraded, you might be able to ask a fellow SLCD N1 owner to dump the image for you (assuming that microp is either a partition or contained on partition).
If microp is contained in HBOOT - just flash a newer HBOOT. Look for Gingerbread PASSIMG.
Flashing newer HBOOT worked indeed. Thank you.

Screen sometimes Doesnt come on

Hello, Sometimes when i turn off my screen on my Incredible s or even let it go out on its own, When i try to turn the screen back on with the power button the back light is lit but there is no image on the screen, I can still answer an incoming call , the touchscreen still works while this has happened, and it seems the only way to get the screen to come back on is to put the phone on charge for 10 or more minutes, even restarting the phone doesn't help. I have a rooted phone with s-off and stock firmware. How can i fix this?
can anyone help?

Try a different ROM if required. Check the development section for ROM's.
Probably that might either solve or you will get an idea if that's something to do with the ROM.

Tried flashing a custom rom, the problem is still there, going to take the phone apart and see if i can see any obvious problems there, anyone got any suggestions or anything to look for inside the phone?
May be this is a ROM issue, or you have forgotten to clear cashe / dalvik cashe?
Try to install different ROM for ex: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2519414
Change your ROM on more current

Dial *#*#7378423#*#* and go to service test menu.
There u'll find "proximity switch" option... Test it,if it is working.
One more thing u can do is flashing stock firmware...

weird issue with my vivid !HELP PLEASE!

so i took a 2nd attempt to flash another rom using a different recovery as recommended and i messed something up real bad and i have no clue what i did wrong nor have i ever had this happen. i changed from twrp to reg old cwm recovery and now my vivid boots up and turns off, boots back up and stays on the white htc screen. i tried flashing different kernals and now i cant even get into cwm. as it boots into recovery, it blinks as i can see one line of text and barely any of the logo its so quick.
so how the hell do i fix this? ill unroot my phone and factory reset it back to non rooted status.
anyone know how can avoid this?
oh and im s on.
i believe htc has software that resets your phone. anyone care to share a direct link? i had it before and i cant find it. i want to unroot my phone anyway cause battery life sucks, even setcpu does nothing and i just a BRAND NEW OEM htc battery and still drains like counting down seconds.
thanks
