[Q] Strange issue, please help.

Hello everybody !
I use a stock 2.2 ROM on my N1 for a while and started to experience a strange problem - when i switch on the device it vibrates 7 times and does not turn on. The screen is black.
Removed the battery, tried again, the same result.
What this could mean ? Please, help !

Try reflashing the stock RUU rom... should fix it. If not, you need to call for support.
The vibrates mean the phone can't initialise... normally fixed by a battery pull.

[Q] Incoming Calls

I'm new to sgs and android,so hopefully this is a noob problem and easily fixed and not something more complex.I've searched and read alot of posts and not found another problem similar,so maybe someone can help.
Got the phone recently and flashed Darkys v7.0 and very impressed by the rom.
Basically my incoming calls dont show up,when an incoming call happens,i get a vibrate and some sort of notification flashes on the screen for an instant then disappears,then my network signal drops out.
I've tried another sim and different service provider,same problem which indicates some issue with phone,have triple checked all my settings in call settings,answering is enabled.
I can make calls,sent and recieve sms messages and connect to net/mail via my 3g,so cant figure out whats going on.Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, same thing here with me. First, I flashed 7,5 and the problem appeared. This mornig I put new rom 7.6 but still problem remains. Everything works, but incoming calls dont. Im trying to capture message that flashes quickly, but with no sucess...

SOLVED!!!
Factory reset did the thing. Calls are incoming as they should. (setings->privacy->factory reset)

Hey i have tried this and have possibly bricked my phone as all im getting is the Galaxy power up screen and nothing else,tried to get into recovery and nothing,ah well my android fun maybe over,might just get an iphone,seems a bit simpler for a knuckledragger like me

I really doubt that factory reset coud brick phone. Try to boot in recovery/download mode with 3button combination (hope you have it) and flash new ROM.

try to flash speedmod recovery on your phone, do the most recent stable version, once you get into recovery you can see if it truly is bricked, if you get the common SD error then it is bricked but if it's complaining about some data missing your still in luck.

I had exactly the same problem; installed Darkys 7.5 after which I couldn't receive any calls anymore, did a factory reset and got bricked. 3button to recovery didn't work on my phone, but luckily I live close to a Samsung service center where they reflashed my phone.
I am curious what was causing this. If it is solved I would like to try the rom again, cause it looked great.

Hey currently all im getting is the yellow triangle sign with the android logo cleaning up and it says ''Downloading'' and on the bottom it says ''Do not turn off target'' that just stays like that for hours and nothing
Now i never had the 3 way download button working or checked,i pretty much did CWM and flashed darkys right after buying the phone.
When i try to get into CWM all i get is the Samsung Galaxy S gt i9000 start up screen and nothing.

I have the same problem excecpt I flashed "leap in the dark". Will factory reset erase all my data? If so are there any other options

[HELP] CWM recovery and sensors not working

So, I accidentally bricked my phone.
Then I flashing stock firmware, after the ODIN says PASS, I reboot my phone and anything is fine.
But, I realized there's something wrong: it won't let me boot into CWM recovery (always stuck in the Ace GT-S5830 logo with a green triangle on it's edge). But, that's not real the problem, the problem is my sensors doesn't working. How I know it's not working?
1. When I make a call, the screen doesn't off automatically (proximity)
2. The 'shake' feature in WeChat doesn't work (accerelometer?)
3. The compass seems to doesn't work too...
Can you please help me fix it?
I consider making a little donation for those who solved my problem.
P.S.: If you need any information, just ask me. Also, there is no service center in my town, so don't ask me to go to service center. Thank in advance

this codes allow you to enter in a test mode...

well.. you are sure your sensors doesn't work, if your sensors are broken don't think you can fix them via internet :S you should send you device to the support service, I advised you test whether your sensors worked, because in certain roms that I've tried didn't work, that's all...

I'm using OFFICIAL STOCK ROM. There's no way my sensors bugged
Maybe you right, it's hardware problem...

Devs... Evn im sufferinh with the same problem...sensors AND cwm not workin....
It'l be helpful if u guys show me how to fix tis clockwork mod issue..

Screen sometimes Doesnt come on

Hello, Sometimes when i turn off my screen on my Incredible s or even let it go out on its own, When i try to turn the screen back on with the power button the back light is lit but there is no image on the screen, I can still answer an incoming call , the touchscreen still works while this has happened, and it seems the only way to get the screen to come back on is to put the phone on charge for 10 or more minutes, even restarting the phone doesn't help. I have a rooted phone with s-off and stock firmware. How can i fix this?

Try a different ROM if required. Check the development section for ROM's.
Probably that might either solve or you will get an idea if that's something to do with the ROM.

Tried flashing a custom rom, the problem is still there, going to take the phone apart and see if i can see any obvious problems there, anyone got any suggestions or anything to look for inside the phone?

May be this is a ROM issue, or you have forgotten to clear cashe / dalvik cashe?

Black flicker, no kernel logo & rom logo

Hi!
Sorry my bad english.
My X8 rooted, bootloadered
I used a lot of ROMs and Kernels, but i had screen cut and black screen, but the touch screen worked because the phone vibrated, when dissolved in.
Since I restarted my phone, the phone just blinks but no picture no sound.
Display is certainly good, because I changed, but it had no pictures.
What could be wrong with the hardware or software? Fixable?

I'm not sure i understood correctly.
Your phone vibrates when you try to turn it on? Does the led flash red? Try to charge the battery for a few minutes to see if anything changes. Tell us what happens.
Also, do you know what happened before this? Did you flash a zip? Edited somehing? More details can help.
