Hi,
I have a simple question : is it possible to downgrade a pebble firmware from 2.0 beta 10 to 1.xx.xx ?
Thanks !
Yes
geschrieben mit meinem nexus 7!!!
How ?
Downgrade the beta to version 8 or 9, then download a 1.xx.xx firmware and sideload it
Actually you might be able to reset it to factory settings and have it downgrade automatically

Wait a second. Firmware for Pebble is one thing, Beta versions are for Android phone. You can sideload whatever version you want, taking into consideration that 2.x firmware should go with 2.x Android phone App. You can even use PebbleBits.com to upload an extended version of the firmwares...
If you go into your Pebbles settings, select about, you will see your current firmware and recovery. For example my Firmware says v2.0.0, but my Recovery says v1.5.5
Selecting Factory Reset will take me back to 1.5.5. You can then upgrade from there.
Hope that helps.

Won't a "Factory Reset" from the settings menu in your Pebble bring it to a 1.x firmware?

To download, serch for your device country here:
http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=15
Or, replace the "X" in the end of the link for your IMEI and you'll have the official version for your device:
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=X
To flash I advice LGFlash Tool, go here:
forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38838927&postcount=7
If you're not able to deal with it following those instructions, try the 1st post from the same thread.
To root, download: http://www.4shared.com/rar/zLRcPHfM/root_JB.html
Reboot in recovery by pressing Vol- & Power. Choose "install from ADB" and confirm with "Power", connect
the phone to PC and double-click in the batch file "root" inside of "root_JB" folder. You'll see the
progress in your device. after finish, reboot.
To unlock the bootloader, see your device country and search for the right guide.
After is easy. You just need to install ROM Manager from the store, bla bla bla...
If you follow the forum in the last days, you'll find what you need, no one talk about anything else
If you choose CM, take a look for the issues. Its far from being perfect, at least 100% functional.
Good luck, take it easy and you'll be just fine.

Yes it's the official Oreo update. I just finished installing it It's about time.
The wait is over -- hooray!
Confirmed. Got it Kansas City. Hoping for better battery life. It's not bad now. Just want more!
If I sideloaded 8.0 *CRAG earlier this year, how can I get the official OTA?
I think for those of us that went beta, we may get stuck downgrading via Odin and taking the OTA.
For those that have the official, what's the build number?

I was on the beta and needed to Odin to Brb1 then take the upgrade. There is a good article on lifehacker that has links to everything you need to do if you want to sideload the updated and not wait for the OTA after you upgrade.

Gotcha. Does downgrading wipe the device?
It did for me but I also missed putting my phone right back into recovery mode and sideloading the OTA so I got the storage corrupted error.

Hi everyone. I have an xt1058 att en us, stock 4.4.2, locked BL. I'm not going to pay sunshine for this old phone. It's hard for me to pay that. I've noticed that Lollipop OTA isn't available any more. Is there any way to upgrade to LL, as I've said, with locked BL? Thanks a lot.

When I boot into fastboot and select stock recovery it says "not command found" or something like that. There is no menu for recovery; so there is no update option.

Wow thanks! No I see "apply update from sdcard" option. Let me remember you I'm on stock everything xt1058 (locked BL, 4.4.2, att en us). Is it safe to apply your 5.1 rom that you've provided?
I'm very afraid about bricking my phone
EDIT: RSD lite 6.2.4 succesfully detected my phone. I don't know if there are risks on upgrading...
EDIT2: I see on your cloud storage that between 5.1 and my stock 4.4.2 exists three other versions. Should I upgrade stept by stept?

Ok. Last question. I know there is risk on every upgrade, but do you consider safe enough to do the upgrade? I mean, if the chance of brick is high, I would prefer to stay in kitkat.

Almost no risk using RSD Lite,

Ok. That's a lot of help for these days. I'll tell you what I'm gonna do. I'll be on kitkat until it turns into complete obsolete (or change my phone). Some apps I use aren't available on KK any more. And I'll have this OTA RSD lite upgrade as a backup weapon to get my xt1058 extended life! Of course sunshine is still there, but I think it's a little late for it. Thanks a lot buddy.
EDIT: Hey wait. Why can I install stock 5.1 with locked BL and no other rom? May I try some debloated stock/custom rom? I found a stock xt1058 debloated version here

Yes sir. Update system button says "you are up to date". The Motorola Update app is upgraded.
OK. TBH your better off on KK. 5.1 heats the phone up like no tomorrow and battery life is atrocious. I rolled back to KK from 5.1.
Have you unlocked your bootloader?

No, I'm on stock 4.4.2 KK xt1058 att en us locked BL. I cannot unlock it unless paying sunshine. If I take RSDlite OTA 5.1 there's no way back to KK for me.
Ok I guess your stuck then but that is a blessing in disguise as 5.1 is dog muck.

As far as I know, I don't think it's possible bc the binaries dont match anymore. I tried to do that and it was a disaster.
I'm running DrKetans rom, its debloated. The battery life is similar to android 8.1 in my opinion.
But maybe someone else can chime in and give you different advice.

it's all on the boot loader version, you will not be able to downgrade to Oreo 8.1 but you should be able to downgrade to Android 9! But first you need to check your bootloader number and match that with downgrade firmware! it's the fifth number from right if your on bootloader 5 then you will not be able to downgrade as there is no Android 9 on fifth bootloader! But if your bootloader is 4 then you can downgrade with odin! See below as example!

yes, you can use LightROM by yash92duster
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-9/development/teamexykings-lightrom-t3838087
i am currently using this rom with "non modded" settings and it works great.. i was getting random reboots in "modded" settings.. the option is selectable in aroma installer.
hope this answers your question, have a great day
