Trying to root xperia T stock 4.3 using the method suggested by DaRk-L0rD . but when i flash provided 4.3 rom zip i get error in cwm as something like this.
- Checking device model number
- Formatting /system
- Copying to /system

E : Error in /storage/sdcard1/LT30p_unsigned_021814_083151.zip

this happens with both sdcard0 (internal storage) & sdcard1. As seen in some online forums - i cant even unmount /system & format /system but get error as

Solved! messaged DaRk-L0rD, i was using davidmarco's cwm v9, so he advised to downgrade cwm from v9 to v7 & it worked perfectly. he is a real nice guy, was very quick in response !

cgm updater problem

hi all.. i have a g1 ,cgmod 4.2.1 flashed with a sigle_update method. now i'm trying to update with cgm updater to a 4.2.4 , but after update download, when i choose to apply the new rom, the g1 reboots in recovery mode, and shows this error :
E:cant mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0) (no such file or directory)
e:cant mount sdcard :cm-updates/update-cm-4.2.4-signed.zip
installation aborted
if i rename the 4.2.4-cgm file, in "update" and then try to install in recovery mode (alt+s ??) WITHOUT performing a wipe, i will lost google apps?
thanks in advance!!
Something maybe wrong with your SDcard
You can still move the update file to the root of your SD and be able to flash it. No you wont lose google apps
thanks a lot!!! yes i think there is someting wrong with my new sdcard.. maybe wrong partition method... thank you for the reply..

[Q] Converting ext4 failed!

I was converting my galaxy tab p1000 files format (rom android 2.3.3 stock version) to ext4, but while processing in cwm screen switched off and i restarted phone then (maybe unneccesary). But now no rom is working because internal memory, flash memory cannot mount anything, its like stuck between default version of files and ext4 and i dont know how to fix it. CWM and download mode is working.
I installed stock android 2.3.3 rom, but when it run cwm to finish installation after flashing by odin, i have error like this:
updating filesystem...
E: failed to mount / dbdata (invalid argument)
E: discard_filesystem_for_rfs: cant mount/ dbdata
wiping cache...
formating /cache...
cache wipe failed...
updating application...
E: failed to mount /data (Invalid argument)
E: install_application_for_customer: cant mount / data
your storage not prepared yet. please use ui menu for format and reboot actios.
copy application failed.
Installing multi -csc applied the csc- code 'itv'
succesfully aplied multi csc.
----
It cannot read flash and internal memory properly. how to restore default version of files - not ext4?

Hi,
Take a look at the Overcome-site and follow the Guide to restock GB. Then you can go on installing an ext4-kernel.
I did it this way : restock v5 - Overcome Kernel 4.0.0 (after reboot wait for conversion)- Hyperdroid 1.5... It might happen that after installing the Hyperdroid you get into a bootloop.. Simply reboot into CWM and flash the Hyperdroid Redpill Kernel one more time...

hi mate.
your problem is that you're trying to run a gingerbread rom, while you have an ICS/JB bootloader. the two use an entirely different partition scheme, so it's not finding the storage when it tries to access it. it seems to be a common occurrence, lots of people aren't aware that the two differ, when they're even aware that bootloaders exist.
if you look here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37836094&postcount=2 , you'll find the solution i gave someone else that had that problem the other day.
to succesfuly downgrade from cm10 to stock GB you have to flash 3-file ROM with pit512 and re-partition checked.

[Q] I9000B OS doesn't load/ "Failed to mount /data" / Almost bricked

I got a long story here. First i got this Galaxy S TV (GT-I9000B) from a friend who broke it's Android and I thought i could fix it. I could restore from a brick status to a clockwork mod which failed because that CWM was made for I9000 and not mine which is I9000B. Then, I went to sammobile, downloaded everything to factory reset this phone using Odin. It worked, but when i tried to boot, this thing appears:
-- Copying media files...
Successfully copied media files.
-- Deleting files...
E: failed to mount /data (File exists)
E: delete_data_files:Can't mount /data
your storae not prepared yet. please use UI
menu for format and reboot actions.
-- Updating filesystem...
verifying the filesystem. please wait.
already updated filesystem. finished
successfully update filesystem.
-- Wiping cache...
Formatting /cache...
Cache wipe failed.
-- Appling Multi-CSC...
Installing Multi-CSC
Can't access to '/system/csc/ZT0/system/'.
Successfully applied multi-CSC.
And beside this, the boot is stucked. It can't load anything. I tried using Heimdall to fix but some error (ERROR: Failed to access device. libusb error: -12) shows up, ADB can't access the phone. I also tried learn how to format the internal SD, go through every single error and fix each one but i got lost again and now i don't know what can i do.

Yeah, that is the one that i did. And the results were the ones that i told.
I mean. This one fixed but was incompatible. Somehow this I9000 and I9000B differences affect everything.

[Q] Error mounting /system on CWM

i want to do nandroid backup, im using CWM 6.0.3.2 (for locked bootloader). my XSP is still using stock rom 12.1.A.1.205 and already rooted. then i boot into CWM, and select "backup". but there's error message "error mounting /system". i tried to manually mount it, but still cant mount /system. then, i went to "advanced", and "show log". it shows "failed to mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p13 (device or resource busy)"
why i cant mount the /system ? is there any problems ?
thanks :good:

incomplete su binaries perhaps? I suggest flashing a su.zip file, being it from Chainfire's, or Koush's, it doesn't matter.
