Hello XDA users,
I am really proud to present to you one of the most interesting ROM called MIUI (Redefining Android)
Base ROM: This rom has been ported by patchrom using Stock based Sony firmware build 10.3.1.A.2.67 TW (Taiwan) Version (which is the 4.2.2 version) this means this ROM is very bugless and have a really great battery life (tested) and have Bravia 2, Xload, Walkman and Sony Album Xperia menu to select MTP or MSC and playstation certificate.
Recovery and Installer: I have implement aroma installer and added recovery from [NUT]'s recovery so all credit to him : )
Kernel: I have added lightning kernel from nikhil18 on this rom for unlocked bootloaders but for locked bootloaders they need to flash stock 4.4.2 rom before flashing this.
MIUI Version: This rom has been ported from MIUI V4.9.19
Please note that GAAPS is NOT included, you may flash it manually AFTER booting the rom

For those who want LTE Please note (Only C5503) : after flashing the rom and select C5503 go to dialer and dial: *#*#4636#*#* then go into Phone information, slide down and select Set preferred network type then chose LTE/GSM/CDMA auto (PRL) mode and you're all set

Instructions: For both LB and UB
[FOR LB] Flash 4.4.2 Rom, root it using towel root, install recovery using NUT's recovery.
[FOR UB] Flash a kernel with recovery. or root it and install recovery using NUT's recovery
Go to recovery
Flash the ROM,
Follow aroma instructions,
NOTE : DO NOT WIPE or FLASH ANYTHING AFTER ROM FLASHED! (you can select wipe on aroma installation)
NOTE: Wipe on aroma fixed sdcard will not get deleted, wipe it with ease
Reboot
Boot the Rom completly ( at least two reboot required to pass all the Sony checkpoints )
(optional)if you want to flash gapps or other things reboot to recovery then Flash Gapps and other addons and reboot
NOTE : Use NTR Utils for entering other recoveries

you can flash superSU_Fix.zip after rom flashed and download superSU from playstore to get your root back ... but everything including miui permission will ask your root permission.
Thanks for your hard work as there are very less ROM's for ZR will try out once it's stable
Just installed and running without any problems so far...overjoyed by the kitkat MIUI for our ZR

thanks for reporting, miui gallery working great for me no FC, even google Gallery works great too, can you give me logcat?

the same as in v5 4.2.2 ... the theme is the same you can try any themes after isntall

can not use other navbar apps like Ultimate Dynamic navbar,GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys,etc.(Install is ok but Can not recall the navbar) :crying:

miui is highly Hard-Coded android ... so it's possible that some apps that needs modification in system cannot works ... well you still can use xposed for miui,
to fix your phone try uninstall the app and reflash the package witouth wiping data

Requirements
-Updated CWM 6.0.5.0 or TWRP
-Have Stock 4.1 or CM 10.1
-Those having the DUOS variant should check if the name on the build.prop matches the name of the updater-script. If it doesn't, then edit the updater script.

How to enable/disable multisim?
Install a terminal and type the following

Or use the file manager in root mode, search for build.prop and change persist.radio.multisim.config=dsds (enable) or persist.radio.multisim.config=none (disable)
Dual SIM has the following limitations:
Both SIMs are always enabled (no way to disable one SIM)
"Receive incoming call while data is enabled" is always enabled
The QuickSettings tile will display the status for the currently selected SIM for data
Changing 2G/3G network mode using the QuickSettings toggle is not supported, only do it from Settings.
3G may not work properly if Dual SIM mode is enabled with only 1 SIM inserted
Ok, this rom seems pretty stable. I think dual sim should work and games like clash of clans won't close themseves. However I don't really know if lock screen widgets works (already searched on privacy and didn't found anything). For those who like features and doesn't need the lock screen widgets, this rom should be great
Edit: Ok, I found how to activate lock screen widgets. It seems it is necessary to disable low ram mode... Well, I'll release RC 1.1 with lock screen widgets working soon

Hmm that's weird. I'm using it right now and I don't have those problems. Those problems happened to you only on this rom or also on other roms? And did you use CWM or TWRP?
Hi, well im using CWM but discovered that this trouble its related with the Gapps.. :S when i change the gapps using another micro or nano version everything works fine. so its not a issue directly of the rom.. and its awesome.. thanxs again..

Is this ROM Better/More stable than NamelessRom? i still can't decide wich one to download...
By the way, youtube doesn't work correctly on CM 11.0 and SlimKat 4.4.4, videos just seem to keep buffering till a. The app crashes, or b. The entire cellphone restarts itself... so I'm trying these two and i need to know wich one is better (in terms of performance, and youtube)

CM11 is the perfect ROM for this phone. For YouTube, try either this version of the YouTube app or any of the alternate apps from the F-Droid repository.

I see, i'll try CM11 again, i uninstalled it from my phone because of YouTube..
Another problem is, when i try to download the YouTube app that you recommended me, (clicking the blue button) the page just times out, is there another link to download it? Mediafire or other? Thanks in advance :good:

Mobile Restarts On Welcome Screen
Hey Guys I am using SM-S6012 and the rom Boots up and has no problem like bootloop but after booting on the Welcome Screen it says choose language and After choosing the right language when i click next. BOOM the Mobile just restarts. I don't know what the problem is. But anyone please help me.

Which ROM are you flashing? Carbon? Did you try any of the others? CM11? If not, try flashing that. Don't flash GApps immediately. Just flash ROM and boot the phone. Let everything settle down for about five minutes and then flash GApps.

Yes, I've tried flashing Carbon ROM And I also flashed CM 10.1 But it had the same issues. And I haven't tried flashing CM 11 because It has some confusing method like Build. prop.

No confusion. Flash if normally. Forget about build.prop. But flash first without GApps.

Hello, I'm really sorry to bump this thread, but, some time ago, it seems like this youtube app just stopped working, it just gives an error (401 or something like that) or it straight out tells me that a new version of youtube is available (The broken, original one from the playstore).
So, basically, is there another modified youtube app I can try out that allows me to watch videos on 4.4.4 again? The original YouTube still buffers forever :crying:

Try one of these. Of these, I've personally used NewPipe, SkyTube and Webtube and they all work without issue. Do try them out and provide feedback here so others can also benefit from your experience...

I'm sorry to say that none of these work on a Samsung Galaxy Music S6010 with CM11.0, they all have the same issue of not playing the video at all, and crashing if they're not closed on time...
I guess there are no other alternatives other than to flash back to 4.1.2 ????
4.1.2 is barely usable because of all the bloatware it has, or i don't know what is it that makes it so... laggy.
CyanogenMod 12.1 is a free, community built distribution of Android 5.1 (Lollipop) which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone.
Here is unofficials builds of CyanogenMod 12.1 for Moto G 4G (peregrine).

I don't have the device, so I don't know.
No bugs that I've found as of yet. This is very much like the official cm12 if you have flashed that before, except the memory leak and ram management is fixed. I can stream bluetooth music, use maps navigation, and snapchat or reddit away no problems.
So far so good. Build date is showing 4/7 instead of 4/10

So far, and after 24 hours of use, this is working awesome. I don't even get force closes on Swiftkey !
Really smooth indeed. Full wipe unnecessary in my case. Just dalvic and cache as I would do with new nightly plus recommended gaps.

I have issues with the aosp keyboard on everybody's 5.1 build, I just disable it and use Swype.
And the screen issue sounds like the kernel incompatibility issue. I don't know because I don't have your variant so I don't have that issue. But it's apparently a common problem until Motorola releases the update.
Edit: removed my stupidity.
Also I've been running the Rom for a day, battery life is pretty normal. Haven't had a single issue, it runs very smooth. Hearthstone ran beautifully on this Rom.

Oops! I meant I have XT1045. I'm still thinking of my other phone model for some reason.
After of 8 hours in use this rom, is very stable and smooth. The battety is normal life.

Root?
CM ships with root, enable developer options and look in Settings -> Developer options -> root access
Doze?
Doze needs a "significant motion" sensor (which uses the accelerometer) to function. The S3 doesn't have this at the moment, and its accelerometer is probably not low-power enough to implement it. At the moment, doze doesn't work, but I might investigate it at some point(tm)
Stock browser crashes when downloading?
You need to grant it permission to access storage in Settings -> Apps -> Browser -> Permissions
Google camera crashes?
Use Google Camera from the play store, not from gapps
Bootloop?
Try wiping data, cache, dalvik, system and re-installing. Some people have reported that dirty flashing over CM 12.1 works.
noones said nothing im going to give it a go. currently on 12.1 and will be doing a full wipe... fingers crossed:silly:

Omg so this is finally happening!!!! I've been patiently waiting for MM since the day CM confirmed they had a new maintainer for the i9300 ?.
Also constantly keyboard fc but fix it by installing Google keyboard via apk and disabling aosp one
Also YouTube videos are black but with sound
Flashed with no issues with open gapps
For a first build its pretty impressive

Could you please provide a logcat? @forkbomb444 stated that he won't fix any bugs unless logcats are provided.

I think he already knows all or almost all bugs,no point in logcat as rom is way to early in development
But for sure will provide logcat if needed

this is warning to all .
I have flash the rom successful with latest TWRP .
clean flash.
bootloop at samsung logo. So I think why not dirty flash it over cm12.1 so i try and it booted successfully the bugs are the one which known.
then I make reset option in the setting to make it as clean as possible it end with bootloop at twrp logo.
please forkbomb any suggestion .
Note: I restore my phone with odin flash stuck rom.
important note : I have found my internal sd card formatted whyyyyyy???.:crying:

Tips (Please read before fllashing):
-After ROM boots for first time, do the setup (enter account and such) and then DO A REBOOT! This could save you from 2 of the 4 of the below tips, and perhaps save me from questions about battery drain issues due to NFC.
-Trebuchet (the default launcher) might present some graphical glitches. I haven't notice that in any other launcher, so perhaps it is Trebuchet only problem. Perhaps you want to use another launcher..
-Wifi IP address will be the same after the second time you enable wifi. So when booting for first time you might want to disable wifi and re-enable it (or do a reboot ).
-For NFC users, after flashing ROM and booting for first time, you won't be able to turn NFC off. So don't try to do so. Instead, after first boot, do a reboot and everything should be fine.

Ok thanks. I'm using your rom and it's faster than bleached's cm10.1 improved and the battery life is better but no nfc

Installing latest version now! Gapps from op, they are soo small 8,7 mb and they show error like "something was changed", had to mount usb from recovery and flashed "gapps-jb-20130812-signed" instead no error!
