can some one tell me if is it possible to mirror screen of my XSP on to PC using wifi and not over internet
My PC and Phone are connected over same wifi Network
my Pc is having netgear WIFI dongle connected to it
So is it possible or can we do it using XPERIA LINK
I am on WIN 7 x64
and 4.3 stock ROM Unrooted
Even If its possible to Throw Album or Movies from Phone on to PC then also its fine please let me know the procedure for it

so you want to use your phones internet connection on your PC ?
if so, i think darkys ROM has usb tethering built in, if not there are tethering apps available on market.
kies wont detect custom roms.
do you have usb storage when you connect phone to PC ?

Sorry if i am kind of hi-jacking thread.
I too would like to get USB tethering working, under OSX 10.6.7 though , if anyone reading has got this working? tried lots of settings as the device is seen by OSX. but wont connect. If anyone has any ideas or a link to somewhere that explains the setup please let me know.

I really don't think that is possible.
But , I use my laptop's internet in the following way.
My internet connection is a wired one.
So I have used "Connectify" to convert my laptop into a wifi-hotspot.
My phone connects to my laptop , which in turn uses my wired internet connection.
Thus , I get my wired internet connection and speed on my phone.
If you don't have wifi on your system , then maybe some external hardware is available for your system , which you have to buy and use.
Creating your system into a wifi hotspot is the only option as of now. No USB options

Try PDANET app from market for USB tethering,install it in phone and PC...

[ROOT][SP] How-to for rooting newest firmware 12.0.A.2.245 / 254 from Doomlord, got everything i'm supposed to.
i connect my phone, start the flash tool (newest version), tool detects phone... phone in MSC, windows 8.1 running...
wanna start flashing, disconnect, shut down, vol. down for flashmode, reconnect... flashtools aborts with no info?!
only info i get is from windows itself, telling me while reconnecting, that the usb device hasn't been connected trouble-free (little baloon tip in task bar)...
so tested 1 laptop, 1 pc... both time same problems...
any idea?

The problem is with win 8 drivers search, how to connect phone in flash mode with win 8.
Many people have said there is problem but only with win 8 if you can try another PC/laptop which runs win 7/vista/xp

finally i tryed it on my gf laptop yesterday evening... win7, usb2.0... that did the job
but as said, thx anyway
The problem is that I cannot make the wireless connection between the phone and the computer. In the wizard of the phone I can chose win 7 or win 8.1. No option for windows 10.
Some smart solution here?

I was able to connect my Xperia Z with the Sony PC Companion.
I wasn't able to find the PC Companion on the Sony website, only the Xperia Companion which apparently doesn't support a wireless connection. I downloaded the PC Companion from chip.de, version 2.10.303 and it works. Just select Windows 8.1 on your phone and follow the steps.
