Hey guys.
Just a quick question. It's possible to make X reality engine work all the time? I mean not only with pictures and videos.
Best regards.

X reality engine is set to improve image and video but only when you see them, else we will automatically go off. My point is to make it on permently because when it's on I notice a full display improvement not only for pictures and videos.

I don't think it'll be that usefull...
See with the ui set up to full hd and triluminous I'd say it's the best you will get.
Xreality kicks in best when the source material isn't that great. Full hd vids will look brilliant anyway...
While the ui will most probably look oversaturated und will suffer from "too sharp" edges.
Just guessing though

Wow that will be perfect.. Maybe doomlord can put this feature to his kernel
Sony UI is created to as good as it needs to be
X-Reality will make it look weird
And not to mention the amount of lag it may create rendering through x-reality
so its pointless having X-realitly improve everything

Right OK. I'll try and bring my PA and MIUI up to scratch then. Can't speak for others though.
Please feel free to try CM though. Development there pretty much never stops and there's a weekly build every Sunday.

I would also recommend the KangXperiaProject rom, works pretty well too, and I especially like the options to configure the navigation bar size and gestures.

Somebody asked it the other day on some other thread, so I tried the loudspeaker while on a call, and yes, it took it less than two seconds to sound like a really loud alarm.

What's so special with that it have cm 10.1? Phones for even 100$ have cm 10.1.
Our Phone has also cm10.1 so nothing special about that.

If you're the type who always flashes AOSP ROMs, beware that Sony Xperia phones have tightly locked bootloaders if purchased carrier-branded. Even if you SIM unlock them. You need to get an unbranded variant which can be expensive or just unavailable where you live. Ironic that Sony has great AOSP support (they publish binaries to help out) but also have insane bootloader security (when the carrier demands it).
I initially got the O2X after returning an Xperia to my provider because of the locked-bootloader problem.
Hi,
Huge TouchWiz fan here. Thought I'd share a nice and neat app. It's the Galaxy SIV Settings which work on any phone on any ROM. Great app so here the link. Install like a normal APK. I dunno who made it but props to them

Works fine, still hooks into our own settings for all sub pages, and tbh, Samsung did a horrible job with this, Tabs (particularly this style) are so pre gingerbread.
Great job from TS though getting it to run fine. Thanks dude.

If you have a screen filter installed, disable it before trying to tap the install button. I had the same problem, disabling the screen filter fixed it.

Hi nice post. Samsung's UI is about the worst I've seen on any phone. This app could be amazing in white, like i1 Honami style, and with different icons (anything but Samsung). Maybe someone with mad skills can mod it sometime.. But thanks dude, nice share!!

AFAIK, that requires HTC's Sense framework. I don't think it's possible... HTC One Settings requires more than an apk.

Post screens in 1st page and i'll thanks ^^
Hi everyone,
I realized that Sony Xperia Z comes in 2 displays; Japan Display (JDC) and Sharp.
And here's the question:
How can I recognise a JDC from a Sharp? I'm going to buy the phone tomorrow and I want my phone display to be JDC. Is it a way to know that except of comparing two of them side by side? I know there's an app for that, but it's probably not possible to install the app in the shop and test it!
So I hoped maybe there's another way to know that.
Thanks in advance.

This doesn't matter. Coming from an xperia s sharp is very good too.

Noo one knows until it's released, but common sense would suggest since they're tweaking the camera app they'll improve pictures as well

Changing the DPI won't have any affect on the camera...but it will probably affect the camera app, meaning everything might be resized and out of place.
