Q[Help] front camera having issue

Need help how to troubleshoot front camera having issue. Its actually showing different colors or its like using camera effect that looks bad... sorry if i cannot explain it well.

What rom are you on?

Its defenitly an outdated rom i bet thats cm9 or one of its derivatives

Hopefully this will be one of many changes to the look and feel of Android.
I mean the whole "light colors thin fonts" thing. I really like it. The Android look and feel doesn't match up with the rest of Google Services like Now and Gmail. Maybe KLP will fix that while making our devices more independent.

I was always using about 650mb to 790 with most apps closed with just system apps open maybe placebo effect but I think there's a difference

This update fixed camcorder/photosphere/panorama underexposure for me. Not completely. But it's not unusably pitch black anymore.

Switch between camera and camcorder and there's a massive difference

Woah... you're right. I'm typically around 0.9 GB of RAM being used, but now I'm at 504 MB. As long as my apps still load as snappier as before, I think this is a step in the right direction.

my ram usage says 1.1gb free right now, ill check later what it is after i update to 4.4.2

on reboot I got 524used free and 1.3gb free. Whats the problem?

The Apps screen is not accurate. Use CPU-Z to check available free ram.

This issue applies to all camera modes, except the still one. Plaguing presumably since day 1. I've always noticed it. It seems to have gotten marginally better with the updates. I used to get complete black videos/panoramas in dimly lit conditions, much unlike what the still camera gave. It's a little better now, but there's a noticeable difference in exposures. Just a quick question. It's possible to make X reality engine work all the time? I mean not only with pictures and videos.

X reality engine is set to improve image and video but only when you see them, else we will automatically go off. My point is to make it on permently because when it's on I notice a full display improvement not only for pictures and videos.

I don't think it'll be that usefull...
See with the ui set up to full hd and triluminous I'd say it's the best you will get.
Xreality kicks in best when the source material isn't that great. Full hd vids will look brilliant anyway...
While the ui will most probably look oversaturated und will suffer from "too sharp" edges.
Just guessing though

Sony UI is created to as good as it needs to be
X-Reality will make it look weird
And not to mention the amount of lag it may create rendering through x-reality
so its pointless having X-realitly improve everything

Kit Kat Antutu Benchmark

How many of you have noticed a huge drop in your benchmark after the kit Kat update? I was scoring right above the Gnote 3 to barely passing the gnote 2.

Mine still scores better than note 3. I switched to art just to try it and it scored much lower on art.

Mines below the g2 and it freezes and reboots itself now. At&t is sending me a replacement in a few days because of it

I just literally makes me wonder. I know not all devices are equal, but if I had known i would have taken this big of a performance hit I would have never upgraded. Other than the knock feature it just wasn't worth it. I could already take picture ect in 4k resolution on my device. Which seems kind of moot to me it only being a 720p display. I switched to art and yeah it was an even bigger hit. So i placed it back into dalvik.

Only thing i played with was art. Back in my sammys running aosp roms art was noticeably faster but not so much on my flex.

You can easily flash back. Reroot etcetera, until they maybe get the custom recovery going and we can get some custom Roms. Also most developers will tell you that benchmark tests are really not that important.

Okay so i unchecked "optimize memory" before running the test again. The benchmark scored well above the gnote3 afterwards.

as others have said, benchmark scores mean absolutely nothing when it comes to comparative performance, so dont waste any brain matter worrying about it..
