Not a major issue but just curious as to why the stock screen shot does not work in a lot of apps but does in some? I've already fixed by using a mod in xposed but would really like to know for my own curiosity. Or maybe I'm just missing something or doing it wrong but it's vol ⬇ and power at same time correct?

Yea hold down the power button and volume down at the same time for a second or two. Also you can use the quick memo option.
Working on d959 you have to "one finger it" making sure your finger is spread evenly between the two buttons. If all fails use xposed framework to put it on your power menu.

Hi
It seems when I charge my n7 fully it will not switch on like it should. Usually I just press the on button briefly and it pops on. However when I charge it fully I have to keep the power button pressed on for about 15 seconds before it will turn on then it acts fine again until I fully charge it.
Thanks for any help
Chris

Threw me for a loop too
Niggle is like a small problem lol. And people with battery issues are popping open the back and making sure the battery is connected properly. I have seen a lot of cases where it has worked, give it a try or u can just send it back.

Thanks for your replies, i cant see it being a battery connection issue as it starts first time unless its fully charged, i did think about sending it back but to be honest its not a big issue it just means i have to hold the power button in for 20 seconds after a full charge. If it does get worse i have always got a years gurantee and can send it back.
Yes a niggle is a small problem, something that bugs you
Chris
Niggle.. I never heard that lol but the keyboard knows this word.. Weird ^^

No, I love that you did. I kinda miss all the usual British colloquialisms from whence I grew up. Not so much here in NYC..
Is that not just holding power button to shutdown?
I know from installing a ROM, i kinda screwed things up and it locked on the goolge boot up screen, long holding the power button shut the device off.

I'm not impressed with the battery % or the home to menu. My battery % is in the battery to save space and my HTC logo is my menu button so I still can hold home for Google now

Got to be rooted and have to install a custom kernel that supports it. Heads up all custom kernels as far as I know has bluetooth calling issues due to HTC not releasing proper source. Streaming is fine.

Same here... Honestly, I haven't had faith in custom kernels since using them on the original EVO. They were the cause of too many issues. Random reboots, freezes, serious lag, etc.

I'm more or less looking forward to the possible radio update that may come with 4.2.2. Could really care less for the new Android version that doesn't change much.

I'm looking forward to not having the added "..." menu bar on non-JB menu compliant apps, that alone is making me impatient for sprint to release the update. I haven't heard anything about eta for that though...anyone else know?

Haven't heard anything in regards to a release for the Sprint or any US Variant. I know we are supposed to get 4.3 in Q3 though.

Im impressed long pressing home>htc logo as menu. Why? Because when typing it was too easy to attempt to hit space bar and instead hit menu. This will fix that problem.

Can you be a little bit more specific. There is a solution for all but Sprint versions. Is there a Sprint specific kernel which supports the logo?
Hiy folks.. Picked up the Flex a week or so ago and have a very hard time getting a screen capture using the vol down and power button. I think it has worked one time out of 50 or so. Anyone else have issued trying to capture screen with this method? Thanks.
Works fine on mine. It's a little tricky but once you get the hang of it it's no problem
Sent from my LG-D950 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It's tricky, but there's an easy way to do it. Just take a quick memo of the screen. You can just use the pop up semi circle or the toggle. Super easy and works eveytime

Had trouble the first few times, but got the hang of it. I posted my latest screenshot.
G Flex ftw!
I've been using gravity box's advanced reboot menu option in xposed installer to get a screenshot menu option when I long press the power key. I hate how tricky the factory way is. If the developers of this phone concentrated more on these user friendly features instead of bootloaders and patching Loki and depriving us from the full potential of our phones then maybe this thread would never have been started . And for that matter there would have been several happy customers not having an issue with the screenshot nor disgruntled customer pissed because they wanna create a dictatorship over how we use our phones. That I've paid ,as I'm sure many of you had, nearly $700 for. Sorry that rant just slipped out. Lmao

So while I've been waiting to see if the talented devs find a way to get custom recovery on KK before I upgrade, a strange thing happened. I've had the one notification on my bar for a System Update for a week or so, which I assumed was the stock KK, but today I now have two System Update notifications. Anyone know what the second one might be? And if it could be something that could help devs I'd be willing to do whatever to help. Anyway, good luck devs! We're all counting on you!

I remember at one time I could hide that huge ugly download booster icon. I cant for the life of me find the tweak I used. Anyone else using download booster but want to hide or have figured out how to hide the icon?
Thanks!
Did you ever find out how to do this??
I'm also looking for the same solution

Unfortunately not. I'm wondering if it was in Wanam or something because it was when I was on KitKat.
Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
I'd check wanam, gravity box, etc.
Sent from my SM-N910T3 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2
Tried all the usual suspects but none of those had the option to remove the download booster icon.
I think Gravity box wasn't to keen to support Samsung phones and Wanam had this on a low list on priorities the last time i requested this from him.
I thought there might have been another method that i may have overlooked.
Will however try to keep on looking and will report back it i find anything
It may not be that difficult to do yourself. Are you familiar with compiling/decompiling? Just guessing you would have to mess with the systemui. I'll ask around and see what others suggest. If it's something that I can do, I'll do it, but don't get your hopes up as its probably more involved than what I think.
