Hi
I have a big problem:
I tried to change the image of bootloader and now when I turn on phone there is not any image, only lines on a black background but phone boot up and works.
I tried to change image logo.img in mnt/.lfs.
So i write it in terminal emulator
adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/stl6 /mnt/.lfs
cp /sdcard/logo.jpg /mnt/.lfs/logo.jpg
reboot
now my phone don't properly work.
Could you help me?
The one where it says Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini and the model?

Hello everyone.
First off all i hope this post is in the right section.
Let me get this out off the way first:
Im not good at english, and im not good at cmd files and so on.
But! i can succecsfully root my phone and get the # in cmd.
The reason im rooting is becouse i want the market patch so i can see all apps.
Here is my questions:
1. Whenever i try to adb push vending......
It says "the file is read-only" i cheked its not read only
So how do i fix that?
2. In the guide to root the phone he says:
"You can do anything then! Look at /system, /data, etc etc. You're broken free, my friend"
Where can i see the /system and so on? he says look at, but where can i look at it? how can i like acces the folders?.
So on the easy way, i search a way to install the market patch.
Thank you everyone
Bump, i really hope someone will help
Anyone? please?
When you have root, you need to mount r/w partition:
- adb push tattoo-hack.ko ./data/local/bin/tattoo-hack.ko (if you haven't did it before)
- adb shell
$
- su
#
- # insmod /data/local/bin/tattoo-hack.ko
- # mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/mtdblock5 /data
- # mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
And now you have mounted in r/w, so:
- adb push Vending-Tattoo-patched.apk /system/app/Vending.apk
p.s. ah...you can access system folders with Root Explore (it needs root)
I never had to mount anything. I did the latest root hack in the sticky at top of forum and then i installed the full market apk. Worked a treat.

Of course, it's normal
You have to write "adb push vending....." non in "adb shell" but in "adb" (open another cmd and as for example "cd c:\android\tools", then "adb push" etc.)
Stupid me
Am so thankfull to you guys, you really helped me alot Thank you really much!
Okay, now i get "permisson denied" when im trying to "adb push vending..."
I opened a new CMD and typed cd c android tools, i just get permission denied.
Can anyone help me about that? Thank you guys so far

Have you opened new cmd closing the other or not?
You don't have to close the first cmd.
Try. If it doesn't work, probably there are some problems with the root procedure, in that case try that solution: Root in 1 click. It contains: root, boot.img, market (also recovery if you choose it).
Yea, i have tryed root in 1 click, but does it really include market?
Root in 1 click gives me the same error ?
Okay maybe this is alot to ask for but is there anyone out there that can make a video of it all from rooting to push market. i would be so thankfull.
And its not just for me, it would help alot out there. im so thank full
Damn, now it says "read only file system" again.
Can anyone post a detalied how-to Thank you really much.
Im going to bed now, cheking this post tommorow.
Btw, i would love to have talk with someone on msn, steam or mail.
Am from denmark if it matters.
THANK YOU

You have to repeate that every time you reboot:
- adb shell
$
- su
#
- # insmod /data/local/bin/tattoo-hack.ko
- # mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/mtdblock5 /data
- # mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
And then you have mounted in r/w:
- adb push Vending-Tattoo-patched.apk /system/app/Vending.apk
(one time)
Okay I Will try that when I get home. Can I use the 2. 1 market I mean so I can have all the 500 apps or is it only for 2 1 firmware modded phones?

Hi ,
I was using JP6 (via Reg. Hack...), as we know that, Samsung has released official Froyo update... I downgraded to Eclair i.e., (DDJG4) ... Now, i can use all functions of Galaxy S , except Mobile Network.
My Phone application is not working anymore...it just shows me, Not available icon for network signal.... More over, i cannot do Factory Reset from Settings menu...its doing nothing....
Please help !
No idea what you did but it sounds like you screwed up your IMEI, do a search for fixes but unless you have a backup file you might be out of luck

I also faced the same problem see this thread. It will solve your problem
**IF YOUR SIMCARD DOESN'T WORK AFTER THIS, EXECUTE THE FOLLOWING**
- adb shell
- su
- busybox chown 1001:1001 /efs/nv_data.bin
- reboot
You can also do this from the Terminal Emulator if you don't have ADB on your PC! Like this:
-su
-chown 1001:1001 /efs/nv_data.bin
-reboot
I hope it's easy to follow my steps, it works guaranteed.

Title says it all. While trying to learn some theme tricks, I must have screwed something up in the framework, because I'm stuck in a boot-loop after rebooting.
Thanks to Aria's post, which describes an easy way to make an easy ADB shortcut, I'm all set to go with ADB... but how can I force my cell to mount my computer when it's turned off? I just need to push my backup onto my phone, because I copied my CWM backup onto my pc and deleted it from my cell to make more room for videos. Stupid, I know
Any ideas? Thanks!
Nevermind, I fixed it through CWM by flashing a .zip of part of the framework that I changed, and it rebooted fine after that. From there I could mount my device.
Still, I'd be curious to know how to mount a device that cannot boot properly, if anyone knows a way.
how did you fix it i am stuck on lg logo when i boot i would really appreciate any help you could give

You can mount the system like this. If it's in a bootloop and ADB is enabled, this'll work.
adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/stl9 /system
exit
exit

Try this while in recovery (clockwork) via adb:
adb shell
mount /sdcard
su
parted /dev/block/mmcblk0
rm 1
rm 2
rm 3
quit
Now odin with repartition and your phone maybe will be resurrected

Hello guys,
I have serious problem with my Samsung Galaxy Mini. I rooted the phone with Root_Exploit_OneClick and everything went fine. Then I installed a bad ,corrupted custom Rom and the phone was not working properly,(white screen everytime i was pressing the power button)..
With Odin if I remember well , I flashed the phone back to the original Rom.
Since then some months passed, and I wanted to try again. I tried 1000000 times to root it again with SuperOneClickv2.3.3, Root_Exploit_OneClick and other tools like this and i ALWAYS get the same message...
I also attach a picture of my error message. I dont know what to do. I dont know what is the problem. I also read somewhere in the forum, that it could be the firewall that is blocking something, disabled it,tried again, always problem...
Could you help, or do you have any idea what this is happening ?
I want very much to change my rom from cyanogenmod 2.3.6 to something newer !!!:cyclops:
Thank you very much

Just search "How to root samsung galaxy mini", and take the zip file, and then flash it.
Done.
try this http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/45768197/Galaxy Mini Stuffs/gingerbred-2.3.6-root.zip
flash it on recovery like what @ F4uzan said
