how is everyone getting wifi wireless tethering on their VZW DE Moto X?
By looking in the Themes and Apps section.

There are at least three different topics with three unique methods in there, all on the first page:
- xposed module
- modded framework-res.apk
- modded VZWEntitlementService.apk

I have been on the forum for about a month now (Just purchased the Droid Bionic as my first Android Device). I am not able to post this question in the actual BLURR3D V1.7 PBX thread.
My question: When I installed V1.5, there was not the same option for "Battery & data manager" as my stock bionic. I live and work in a strictly U.S. Cellular area. I need to have the data roaming allowed at all times (they have a contract with Verizon, so I never get charged extra). When I installed V1.5, I could not find the option for data roaming.
Were is this setting located at? Is it fixed in V1.7?
Sorry for posting this in the wrong spot.
I'm still using a stock/rooted/debloated rom and havent tried the above rom but i think i read that he removed it in the rom on purpose and included the .apk for it as a download link on the bottom of the original post.
if you are still new to android, the .apk is the application file, the easiest way to install it is download it, send it to your phone through gmail, and then there should be an install link next to the attachment in gmail on your phone. click it and you should be good to go. It might ask you to change the settings to allow unknown sources to install apps, make sure that is checked.
hope that helps
I have 1.7 on my Bionic and in Battery & Data Management/Data Delivery there are three options to be checked and one of them is Data Roaming (Connect to data services when roaming). Is that what you are looking for?

In 1.5 the Battery & Bata Management was removed. I suggest updating to 1.7
Thanks for the help!
Thanks for the help- I just installed V1.7 and everything seems to be working out great so far. Nice and streamlined so far.

i was wondering i have gear manager installed on my moto g and it links with my phone i can make and receive calls but i cannot seam to get any of the other functions notifications or phone book etc to work is it something im doing or do they only work with samsung phones...
Many thanks
In order for all the features to work you need touchwiz framework. Which unfortunately is exclusive to Samsung.
However, if you check out the thread titled "nexus 5 for kit Kat" you might be able to get notifications to work other ways.

Hi I have a quick question. Do we need to have nfc enabled phone to get gear features work on moto g? Or blue tooth is enough. I know that moto g does not have nfc chip
Nfc is a fast, convenient way of setup. But it's not needed. It can pair like a regular Bluetooth device too.
Hi,
I own a 2013 Moto X VZW Developer Edition, which is currently unlocked & rooted. I remember finding a script on here back when I first got it that automatically removed bloatware and enabled tethering. Does anyone know of the thread related to what I'm looking for? Searching hasn't turned anything up.
Thanks!
Why not disable the "bloatware" (can't believe people are still worried about bloat when there's only 6 apps taking up 15mb that can be considered bloat) and flash the native entitlement hack instead of relying on a script?
By the way, this belongs in Q&A. You can find the entitlement hack a few threads down.
Has anyone tried to enable VoLTE on the XT1096?...Possibly by using files from the Droid Turbo 2 or Nexus 6?
Motorola supposedly removed VoLTE support from the LP and MM updates. I feel like we should be able to come up with the necessary files to enable this feature and use this phone as it was intended (with simultaneous voice & data)...assuming the phone contains the necessary hardware.
Edit:
So I managed to enable advanced calling in the settings menu - unfortunately it just force closes for now... see screenshots
On Verizon I believe you have to enable HD Voice in your account settings to be able to use VoLTE and WiFi Calling, but Verizon won't let you enable it unless the device on that line officially supports it. The Moto X 14 isn't marked as compatible, so VoLTE and WiFi Calling are impossible.

I see Verizon now has VoLTE service for its prepaid customers as well, have you figured out a way to enable HD calling on the XT1096?
Any good Magisk mods for tethering?
New to the recents of rooting and root mods etc. I've been out of the loop since 2014.
Mostly to enable tethering and or hide tethering like through a VPN instead of having to deal with something like proxies with PDAnet.
Thanks
