I've had 3 HTC phones in my short life. I want an invitation to be part of the VIP community and share my experiences.
Hello,
I also would like an invite, if you have some spare available. My last 3 phones are HTC, despite the troubles I had with two of them (mainly their customer support in Bulgaria) I still love these phones. Also I love testing new things and software (if I am not wrong, htc elevate members get to test new software before anyone else ) Thanks in advance
email: teodorbankov [at] gmail [dot] com
Hello, i'd like an invite.
I've had lots of HTC phones: as far as I remember
- HTC Elfin (built the first Android ROM for this WM device)
- HTC Diamond (built some WM roms)
- HTC Hero
- Nexus One
- HTC HD2 (two or more probably, can't tell)
- HTC HD7
- HTC Flyer
- HTC Evo 3D (two times, one was bricked)
- HTC One (silver and red one)
I think i'm pretty knoweledged about HTCs, from older WM phones to newer Android; I have a blog where I share what I find out (about the One, I recently published an unbricking guide that may be useful to someone, i hope).
I'd like to get an invitation mostly to test new software and join an official HTC fan community. I'd really like to get involved.
My mail is fr.crema [at] gmail [dot] com
I've sent you guys invites! Let me know your user names here and I will follow you!

This will be the rebirth of IncS ROMS .
this is old news, sorry!

I think it is because lot of people want new phones quite often! If there are no buyers then there would not be any new phones.
I think we should be fortunate enough to get an ICS release for IncS. Not many manufacturers provide this kind of support to their 2 old mobile devices.
Yea...they should release it or am going to sell my phone now

Idiot
Did HTC promise you ICS when you bought your phone?
Didn't think so.

No. you have posted on a thread in the Incredible S forum, not the HTC Desire forum.
Why another thread about this?
Even now just on the front page there are 2 other threads talking about the same updates..
It'll come when it comes...
And for all those who are whining about updates not being on time, remember your phone manufacture gains nothing (read money) by updating your phone.
They might as well sell another phone with the latest software and make money off it than having their devs work on something which will make no money.
And if by threatening to sell a particular brand of phone & never buy one again, the phone manufacturers have seen this over and over again and it is acceptable collateral. you think it's going to be any different with any other phone maker?
the logic applies for everyone.
Only iPhones have a longer support cycle of around 3 years, but hey if you are gonna be happy with what an iphone offers, me thinks you should already be there.
can we please just wait for ICS to be released rather than opening a thousand new threads about the same topic?
Please feel free to fill the existing threads with 100 pages of curses, abuses, wishes whatever....
We are starting a movement toward HTC to get them to release their source code on a more timely basis such as samsung. We need as many people as we can get to do this with us because they won't listen if only users of 1 devices complains. i know others devices have been held up by htc so we are reaching out to (or at least trying to) all of the htc device forums we can in order to spread the word and get everyone involved. please take a look at the link below as it has all of the info regarding this.

Ok I understand now. I signed it but I myself have given up on HTC. Ridiculous how hard they make all their stuff to hack and they cut life support off stuff too quickly. My flyer got cut off on ****ty honeycomb and developers struggled trying to build ics for it. I was mad but eventually I said screw it and sold it and bought a nexus 7. I plan to eventually do that same with my vivid for either the galaxy nexus or the next nexus phone that comes out. Honestly anything not nexus branded just blows now.

Forgive for my English but I'm Spanish and I translate with google translator.

Because it started sending tweets to htc for us Jelly Beam upgrade to 4.2. the account you would have to write is:
- @ htc
The idea would be to put in a tweet that we want to upgrade and Jelly Beam to send many tweets as once got HTC Desire owners (if Froyo to Gingerbread) actualizen us because we know full well that the Sensation XL has power and capacity for that and more.
the idea would be to create and send a Tweet generico often mentioning @ htc and put together some hashtag for all tweets.
His tweets are generic:
- @ htc, I'm One of Those customers who have a Sensation and I'm still waiting for Jelly Bean, so when? # JB4Sensation
Continue to @ sensationxlJB
I agree with you man...this device is too much undervalutated.

Sounds as a good ideea for the start, and for those who have tweeter accounts...
Also, we could make a petition that we want upgrade to Jellybean, doesn't matter if it's 4.1 or 4.2 as long as we have jelybean.
Yeah a petition seems to be a good start.

I created a tweeter account just for this purpose, will try to get in touch with HTC and see if they have something planned for us OR if they plan something for our device, any support would be grateful.

I have also created an account but in Spanish. I put the Hagstag #SensationXLJB to unite all posts
I've seen similar posts but they're quite outdated now, does anyone know if the HTC One 64GB edition is available to buy sim-free in the UK ? I want the HTC One but not the 32GB version and don't want to have to wait for a few months to get one, otherwise I might just end up getting the S4.
Anyone know of any sites or places doing the 64GB?
Cheers
As far as I know, the 64gb models is only avaliable in Asian countries for now. It could be months until it's avaliable for the rest of the world.
The HTC One is only available in Taiwan, I'm not sure anywhere else has it in Asia.
The S4 is only 16gb with 12gb useable. Also that 12gb is all the space available for installing apps and games. The memory card can't be used for apps.
I got the 32gb One and will buy a 64gb when out. But surprisingly I'm managing just fine with the 32gb.

Message from htc I received today -
Dear Matt,
Thank you for contacting HTC regarding the HTC One.
My name is Ciprian and I am a Technical Support Agent for the HTC Written Team.
Regarding your question, for the moment we do not have any information regarding the availability of this mode on 64 GB, and you may want to check our website for updates, or subscribe to our newsletter. Also, regarding the Developer edition phone, I wouldn't suggest you to buy it, because these phones aren't built for the public, they are only for developers, and the phone won't have certain features, or it will be optimized for debugging/development, even though if it's unbranded, it will work in the UK.
I appreciate your patience so far, I hope this answers your question, and if you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
To let me know I have successfully answered your query, please follow the link below to close your enquiry, you will have the opportunity to leave feedback about your experience contacting me today.

Htc one 64g £402????
Hi , I'm pretty sure this is some sort of scam but I thought i'd check with you guys first.
Seems just too good to be true , on the site eonline stores they are selling the htc one 64gb for £402
That seems crazy as the only other UK seller I can find are mobicity are and its £720 (which is a bit steep)
Heres the link :

Thankyou for your time

any news for E.U. mkt ?
tks gio.
Question:
hi guys, i am a resident of India and i recently got a HTC one from USA(CA), my brother sent it.Now, i do not possess any receipt/bill, how can i know if i can avail warranty in India(if there's any in the first place)?
Reason:
I want to know because, if i dont have warranty i would want to root it now, but if i do have, i would want to use it for couple of months to confirm that there are no manufacturer defects and then root.
Side note:
i did check some online resources but no luck. I even mailed HTC support but no reply, yet.
Off topic:
is there any facebook/google+ group for xda-forum/htcone?
(i am coming from htc pico device and we have an active FB group, it is useful and fun)
Thanks!
No warranty in India for handset purchased abroad. There are some G+ community an FB groups for one. Check general forum. Also check Indian discussion thread in general forums. Lots of useful info there. Good luck
