Power Button Clicking - Moto X Q&A

Over the past few days, I've noticed that the power button on my Moto X almost feels like it sticks sometimes and it makes a clicking, or a crunching noise when I press it.
I'm wondering if some dust or something got in there or maybe it's sticking or something like that. Has anyone else noticed this issue? It's only recently and only on my power button. The volume rocker seems to work fine and even with the power button it's intermittent. Sometimes it feels and sounds fine others it's a little off.

honestly sounds like a warranty situation. You don't wanna mess with a hardware if you're still under warranty. Let Motorola take care of it for you.
there warranty is pretty straight forward too.

Trouble with touch sensitivity

Often i have to press to or maybe three times on some buttons before the phone recognise it as a press. Especially when i press the end call button.
It seems like the phone has some problems with touch sensitivty.
Anyone else have this problem?
Nope, mine seems good.
I do have the CM induced right edge of the screen issue though.
The problem with end call
Hi Fenrisulven_,
To me, the bug with the end call button is experienced because of the screen off feature on call... When you want to end call, you take it down from your ear, but it takes just a little more time for the touch interface to go on than the screen to switch on.
If anything the touch sensitivity seems maybe a little too high to me
I find the lock screen gets a little 'sticky' though.

Vibration problem

Lately my vibration has gotten weaker, too weak to even feel in my pocket. Sometimes it cycles between strong and weak while vibrating, like the vibration motor is starting to malfunction. Is it time for the VIP service, or is it possible this could be software-related?
You running stock rom? Sometimes, its s/w problem...
Stock ROM, yes.
Of course, the day after I call the VIP service the phone starts to vibrate properly again. It still weakens sometimes but seems to work 95% of the time. I think I'll hold on to it for now, don't want the VIP service to give me a phone that reboots and crap..
Okay.. awkward. The vibrate function nearly died out again. But, I noticed something weird.. if I hold the phone in front of a lamp and make it vibrate, the vibration gets stronger and stronger until it's back to normal. Then when I turn off the lamp the vibration weakens again (slowly).
???
EDIT: Just now when I was holding down the lower volume button to make it vibrate, it wouldn't stop vibrating even when I let go of the button. It kept vibrating harder and harder and I almost thought it was gonna blow out, but I managed to make it stop by pressing the capacitive buttons (the other buttons did not respond). Wtf.

[Q] Volume Button Issue

When I press the volume button to raise the level I am having issues. The phone will bounce back and forth one level between raising and lowering the level. After a good 30 seconds of trying this I get lucky and the volume raises. When I try to reduce the volume I have no issue.
Is anyone else having an issue with this? I feel that this is a hardware problem but I am wondering if this is a possible software issue.
Any help will earn my eternal love!!!
Perhaps this is related to the Safe Volume Level warning dialog box?

I don't think it's related. It only happens when the volume is at minimum.
nope nothing like that here. i am having a power button issue. it seems to be too sensitive. if i barley tap it it turns on the display. Is your moto x the same?
Try tapping the volume button not pressing too long. I'm having the same issue but I figure it out how to use it.

microphone and volume issues

i've been having issues with my phone recently. 2 seeming unlrelated problems
the volume rocker is borked. there's almost no tactile feedback to it, and its very unresponsive. when i press vol down, it pretty much turns the volume all the way down to the bottom even if i just try and tap it. and when i press up its very hard to get it to go up
the other problem is the voice control. it seems like the mic will randomly decide not to take any sound input. no one has complained that they can't hear me on phone calls, but when i try and set up voice commands or do voice texting, you can see on the screen that its not "hearing" anything.
anyone else having either of these problems?
btw, stock lollipop, not rooted

How to fix low call volume?

I recently received a Pixel 4xl and really like the phone except the call volume is a lot lower than other phones I have had. I have to press it up to my ear to be able to hear the other person. The volume is already set to the max. Is there a way to make this louder? The phone is not rooted, but will root if that is what it takes to fix the volume.
Thanks!
Mine is fine with the headset, but I had a similar bug with my pixel buds and maybe it's related.
While on a call. Press the volume up button, then while the volume slider is on the screen, slide the volume down and then slide it back up. You'll notice it's much louder. You can also try pressing volume up and then slide it down with your finger on the slider, then use the buttons to turn it back up.
I only had to do this once and then in call volume was fine after that.
For some reason it got stuck in some sort of limit where the ceiling wasn't really the ceiling.
Other than that, you can try factory reset. If not that, then it could be some sort of hardware issue.
