If ur booted into a ROM, then obviously ur device ain't bricked. If u have the ADB drivers installed properly, the phone's serial number should show.
FYI, never post ur Serial No. anywhere. Its sensitive device information

If you see Qualcomm USB in Device Manager, ur screwed coz the phone will require a motherboard replacement in most cases

No the phone does not do anything, no charging light and does not turn on, so it does not go to recovery.
But maybe the phone does get connected trough usb and if i see some serial number that give's me hope that it's not fully bricked.
Or am i completely wrong?

Look, ADB will work only in a fully booted ROM or in CWM/TWRP recovery. Currently, ur phone isn't even turning on. There are many people with this issue. There is no real "fix" as such. Try putting your proximity sensor in a strong source of light for a while. If it doesn't turn on, then HTC will have 2 replace the motherboard, which is really expensive
Try holding POWER + VOLDOWN (phone under a bright light,) after about 5 seconds, buttons should start blinking, and after 20 to 30 seconds, phone should reboot.
you may need to try 2 or 3 times, to get it to work.
I have the same problem I could not do anything tried all the tricks

You are a little vague on the details, but it sounds like your phone is probably in "fastboot-mode", meaning (on the Xperia Z) a black screen and no notification light nor anything else. It will stay in this mode until told to leave it by a computer or holding Power and volume up for like 10 seconds or something. The reason, in that case, that it didn't appear in flashtool could be that you have no fastboot drivers installed on your computer.
Issuing the command "fastboot continue" from a properly setup command prompt will cause it to boot up. Or, as mentioned above, hold power and vol up...

does the computer detect the phone in fast boot or not [vol- + pwr] if yes download the update service from sony website and maybe it wil work .
It's a long shot, but plug it in to power then try a hard reset (hold power and volume up) for 10 seconds. The phone should vibrate 3 times.
I have a vague recollection of my phone doing something similar and it wouldn't do anything until I gave it external power.

Just wondering if anyone can help me out here..
My HTC is not turning on at all. I was using it fine, nothing was over heating and it was just in my pocket. I went to check on my phone and it was just off. Is there anything I can do, or possibly take it in for warranty. I have never owned a HTC so I don't know where to go for support. I am from Sydney Australia. Any help would be appreciated. I have left it on charge for 30 minutes - And nothing yet, not turning on

Tried everything.. I bought this phone from Gumtree Australia a few months ago and that person got it from the Optus store via Contract I believe. But I don't have the Receipt however, I have the box and accessories and warranty stickers that come inside the box. Would I have to go through Optus store or is there a HTC One centre like they have Apple and Samsung centres/stores..
This question is probably only for Australian users
I heard of this before... Try plugging it into your computer and leave it for an hour. Then... (While still plugged in) hold it under a bright light and hold power + vol down, for a few minutes. I think this problem occurs because CWM allows the voltage to get too low for the phone to start. Good luck man

The light has to be facing the phone. You can see the two sensors on the top left on the front, point the light there.
I fix mine by let it charge on wall plug for 4 days straight until red LED started to ON back..lets it charge for another 1/2 hr n press the power button to ON the device..weird..4 days just to gain back some juice due to battery completely die..

Hello,
Something happened with my Samsung Exhibit II phone after installing new ROM from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2185107
First, the installation went OK and the phone booted in the new environment. But since Google Apps were missing I rebooted my phone again into recovery mode and installed Google Apps and also SwapSD. Then I selected "restart phone" and after that I cannot turn my phone on. It looks like it is dead. The battery was OK (charged in full). So, the phone does not react to pressing any buttons at all. Is it familiar situation? Is there anything to do?

Didn't help. I removed a battery for 10 minutes, put it back, pressed "Volume Up + power" and nothing happened.
I am wondering if it is possible that installing a wrong apps (like SwapSd or Gapps) could kill a phone?
Even when I plug the charger in the phone, I don't see that the phone is charging. Usually, the battery icon would appear with percentage of charge. Now, nothing is happening.

Try pressing the power button, hold it down while holding the volume down button. Hopefully that will get you into download mode so you can try ODIN to reflash your ROM and/or recovery. If you get nothing while trying to do that, than yeah, I'd say your device is toast.

Hi everyone!!
Today, I woke up, and noticed that my Moto G 2nd Gen is died.
Honestly.. i don't understood what happened exactly. My phone was absolutely clean, no rom, no hacks, no strange apps, NOTHING!
Absolutely genuine and with just a few (famous) apps, like Tapatalk, Skype, Facebook etc..
Someone maybe knows what problem is it? Hope to receive help..
THANK YOU.
If it was completely clean I would send it back to Motorola for repair. It is the safest and best solution

You could try another cord and/or charger if you have any laying about. That would be on the assumption that it ran down overnight. BTW, if it is completely dead, it may take a little before you get any indication of charging.
have seen it happen several times.
This fixes most of the time
In the unlikely event that your device becomes unresponsive, frozen, blank or black screen, or will not respond to the power button, you can perform a force restart or reboot on the device by following the steps below.
Press and hold the Power button for 7 - 10 seconds, the device will restart and go through the boot-up sequence.
Notes:
The forced restart or reboot will not delete any Data on your phone.
If completing the 7-10 second Reset does not recover normal functionality of the device, then press and hold the Power Button for a full 120 seconds while connected to a charger.

But I tried to press the power button, also in combination with VOL DOWN, and it still doesn't make any effect.

The battery in the Moto G 2nd Gen is not removable.
It was in a moment of anger no judging please
1) The screen is obviously destroyed and wont even turn on.
2) My computer doesnt recognize the phone.
3) If its plugged the phone blinks its notification light for like 5 minutes
4) if its unplugged it blinks only when I hold the power button. It also blinks once when I unplug it.
5) I dissamble the motherboard and it doesnt seem to be harmed.
The question is, do you think the phone is dead or should I replace the screen, all repair shops ask me the PIN number to give me a diagnostic, which is reasonable but I dont want to give on my privacy to fix a phone.
Thoughts?
Thanks a lot for reading!
have u tried to boot with power+vol up or power+vol down while connected to PC?

I hope your parents don't buy you a new one and that you learn what it costs to earn money.

Check the battery flex. Maybe is unplugged. If you don't want to give the pin you should try to change the screen by yourself.

The battery flex is plugged, I tried unplugging it and plugging it in several times and nothing happend, yes I have no problem in changing the screen myself but I I think I have to fix something else before
Why you try to connect to PC? For saving your files?
Maybe u need to change screen first and then if there is any problem you will see it. İ think your problem should be in type c port

So, change the screen. If something else is broken, then you will see it.
