Bluetooth receiving problem on SlimKat
Hi All!
Droid4 with SlimKat 4.4.2 build4.6.
Bluetooth is working, find devices, pairing is working, file sending is working.
From other devices can not receive files, not ask me about reciving, just reject the request.
The problems only with apk files, so it will be some security setting...
Where can I enabling this questions on SlimKat?
Thanks,
Zavo

Hello everyone. New owner of Motorola MB886 (AT&T Atrix HD) - bought brand new/refurb off local craigslist. Sweet deal, had it rooted, flashed Mexican Retail right away and then unlocked bootloader (just to try other ROMs in the future). Problem is the bluetooth. Wife uses the phone, can pair no problem to the Lexus she drives, but no audio coming in or out during calls. Everything else including streaming works normal. Sometimes the audio kicks in, after a minute or so of wait, for no apparent reason. Device is connected well, no drops. Is this a known bug with Atrix HD on the stock 4.1.2 (JB) ROM? I could see bluetooth being broken on Custom experimental builds, but wasn't expecting it to be the problem. Any fix or other ROMs with working bluetooth? I search and didn't see a dedicated thread, other then few mentions of various bluetooth problems. Google search problem is not limited to Atrix, many RAZR devices have same issue. Just wanted to know what my options are. Thanks.
On ICS, never had any problem with my Kenwood car stereo. Reliable pair, calls, music.
Phonebook works, except favorite contacts don't show up (must be a Kenwood problem).
SMS doesn't really work but then again it's been years since they were trying to support SMS on head units.
Also worked fine with a rental Cruze and actually the title of the current song was displayed on the car stereo (my Kenwood doesn't do that).
Is this it? No other confirmation of Bluetooth problems? Can I at least get a clue if this is a result of wrong flash or problem with the ROM, or any AT&T stock users having the same issue? To me it looks like phone connects using basic sound profile, not as headset. Thanks everyone.
Here is an update to my issue with bluetooth. I ended up creating a full backup using CWM recovery and did a factory reset. Then restored just the data partition (from CWM advance restore) and re-mapped the bluetooth. Everything is working like charm now. Lesson, don't forget to do factory reset after flashing, or if any problems arise. Good luck to everyone.
Just wondering whether there is any fix for the bluetooth issue on 4.3 roms. I can connect my phone to car without any issues, but cant syn contacts or answer/reject calls via steering wheel. If not, is it possible perhaps to copy bluetooth related files over from 4.2?

Quite the same problem here. I can pair the XZ with my Car's device (ego flash), but I can't synch the phonebook.
I already deleted the Bluetooth setting on both devices, nothing helps
if somebody has a solution??

sorry for my bad english...
I'm having exactly the same problems.
And it seems as if every android update on my xperia z fixes some bluetooth bugs and brings up some new ones. After each update, my phone behaves differently in my car.
I had the exact same issue, (to give a little more detail) it causes you to either drop wifi connection when on bluetooth or vice versa and i had just bought a sony smart watch that ran off of bluetooth.I never found a fix from sony. What i did do to fix it was flash myself the latest eXistenZ rom, it worked perfectly and both my smartwatch and wifi could work at the same time
Same song different dance
My issues with 4.3 update are related to the poor performance of the bluetooth driver on audio connect.
I have downgraded to 4.2 because i use bluetooth headphones and i have 2 bluetooth speakers, that with the 4.3 are almost useless because:
Low volume output over bluetooth, quality of the audio is a bit down, and most important for a heavy sleeper, the bluetooth speakers are working only with music/video soundtracks, they are not ringing anymore on phone calls, alarms, notifications.
Please, anyone, put the 4.2 bluetooth driver somewhere, flashable or i dont know, i tried everything, but i guess the best option is to install the 4.2 bluetooth driver on 4.3. Is it possible?
Now I found an workaround for me. I deleted all the photos inside the contacts ( about 8 or 9 contacts of 331 had a photo inside). Phone-Book sync and sending contacts separately is working now. Not perfect, but OK for the moment.
Could this be a problem with Android 4.3 ? I never had that before with my Defy, Razr i, Wiko Darkmoon or Alcatel OT6040D.

kbert

It seems Android development on G Gear has come to a halt and many Dev are working on Tizen .Ive been searching for a way to connect headsets to G Gear without losing android. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check with fomey. Had tried for ages with Bluetooth profiles, but couldn't get anything to work
I posted this in another thread but have you tried the following app together with null rom? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=es.qrr.android.btoolkit
I've had success getting this app to pair certain headsets to my MotoActv that wouldn't work natively. I haven't tried with my gear as I've had no need.

Thanks for your reply!
I gave this app a try but it lacks the files needed to establish a connection.
after looking into the matter ive notice that Galaxy Gear is missing connection files.
It allows to pair with headset the same way as phones but You can not tap on the device lables (even the phone) in the bluetooth menu to connect to the device the way normal bluetooth connection works .
I tried installing bluetooth fix app, the app gave me error message that the GGear is missing bluetooth folder.
I know alot of people would like to see this function working on Galaxy Gear without going to Tizen, if we could get a Dev to give us hand or if we get some insight on how the bluetooth connection works would be a step forward in getting this to work
Ive been looking around and trying a number of bluetooth apps, an l keep getting the error SPP communication failure
Im trying to find a solution to Serial Port Profile (SPP) error
if anyone has any ideas please post !
I have a 2013 Honda CR-V EX. When I bought the car, I had a Verizon Galaxy Nexus. The stock ROMs never did work right for reading back text messages, and at some point a Cyanogenmod contributor figured out the problem (syntax issue I think when Google change their BT stack or something to that effect), and it worked great when I started running nightlies. I picked up a Z3 compact last year, and I always get the notice that the phone doesn't support the Bluetooth MAP function. I hoped it would start working when we got Lollipop, but same thing. Have any of you had success in using Bluetooth MAP on a 2012-2014 Honda? I'm open to suggestions on things to try.
Hi there,
This is Simon from germany.
I have some questions about the device listened above.
Often I can´t pair the device via bluetooth to my smartphone, to use hand-free-calling for example. What can I do?
And: does this device only is able to receive signals via bluetooth, but not to send them?
For example: I´m running an android app on my smartphone which allows me to control my stereo-amplifier. No problems. But running the same app on the device on the ES6301F, doesn´t let me find the stereo-amplifier.
Is this normal?
Thanks and greetings,
Simon
Hi,
I have the same device than you since today. I have no problem to pair it with my old LG G3. I can use hand free call and a2dp streaming.
